Abstract: A method for utilizing a bending machine die layout includes designating a die layout of a bending machine, the designated die layout being defined by arrangements of replaceable punches and replaceable dies installed on the bending machine. The method also includes extracting, in the designated die layout, segments in each of which a punch and a die face overlapping to each other to be actually used for one of bending processes, as virtual die stages based on punch attachment positions and punch lengths of the punches, and die attachment positions and die lengths of the dies. The method further includes assigning, by using a sheet metal shape model of a bent product planned to be made by the bending machine, bend lines on the sheet metal shape model corresponding to actual bend lines of the bent product, to the virtual die stages.
Abstract: An integrated circuit stores a module that executes applications that play digital streams. When the module is executed, the integrated circuit generates package information by merging files recorded on a first recording medium and a second recording medium, in accordance with merge management information, detects a plurality of playable titles from the package information, and selects one of the detected titles as a current title. The integrated circuit executes the application associated with the current title, and the executed application makes a request to update the generated package information by specifying new merge management information.

Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) system includes a plurality of RFID tags and a reader-writer. Each of the plurality of RFID tags has a tag antenna and a tag circuit that stores identification information. The reader-writer includes a first transceiver that reads the identification information of the plurality of RFID tags using an antenna. In this regard, the first transceiver transmits a reading command via the antenna for reading the identification information of the plurality of RFID tags. When the first transceiver does not read the identification information from one of the plurality of RFID tags due to an occurrence of a reading error in the first transceiver, the reader-writer adds reading error information, which indicates the occurrence of the reading error, to the next reading command to be transmitted from the first transceiver via the antenna.
Abstract: A sound encoding device enabling the amount of delay to be kept small and the distortion between frames to be mitigated. In the sound encoding device, a window multiplication part (211) of a long analysis section (21) multiplies a long analysis frame signal of analysis length M1 by an analysis window, the resultant signal multiplied by the analysis window is outputted to an MDCT section (212), and the MDCT section (212) performs MDCT of the input signal to obtain the transform coefficients of the long analysis frame and outputs it to a transform coefficient encoding section (30). The window multiplication part (221) of a short analysis section (22) multiplies a short analysis frame signal of analysis length M2 (M2<M1) by an analysis window and the resultant signal multiplied by the analysis window is outputted to the MDCT section (222).
Abstract: An end of a detection body provided contactable with an upper side peripheral surface of a coin rolling on a coin path hooks into reeding of the coin, and thus the detection body is moved to a moving direction. The movement of the detection body moves a receiving portion in the same direction, and rotates in a predetermined direction an axis support integrally provided with the receiving portion. The rotation of the axis receiver retracts from the coin path a sorting body projecting to the coin path. A release body proceeds to the coin path. The retraction of the sorting body from the coin path allows the coin to further roll on the coin path, press the release body, rotate the axis support reversely, and return the detection body and the sorting body to a standby position.
Abstract: An annular step portion provided to a periphery of a wafer housing portion is provided to an area with which an area of 1 to 6 mm from a boundary line with a chamfered surface of a wafer rear surface toward a wafer center comes in contact. As a result, it is possible to produce an epitaxial wafer having no scratch in a boundary area between the rear surface and the chamfered surface, and to eliminate particles generated due to a scratch in a device process.
Abstract: The present invention provides an authentication method for inter-domain information communication applied to first and second domains. The method instructs a first electronic device belonging to the first domain to request, through an intermediary node device simultaneously registered in the first and second domains, to obtain a first key from a second key distribution center in the second domain for transmission to a second electronic device in the second domain, and instructs the second electronic device to request, through the intermediary node device, to obtain a second key from a first key distribution center in the first domain for transmission to the first electronic device. Therefore, the first and second electronic devices are instructed to generate a shared third key using the first and second keys to perform secure information communication authentication.
Abstract: A data communication device with no wait time, which multiple users can operate simultaneously, each user being able to obtain desired content simultaneously, regardless of the content of a content screen, being the same or different content screens. A body of the data communication device is provided with a communication unit having a terminal and a plurality of communication elements for communicating content, a transferring unit for transferring content to certain communication elements of the communication unit, and an associated data creating unit for selecting the communication elements to which content is to be transferred from among the plurality of communication elements. Content can thereby be provided simultaneously to multiple users without a wait time, and areas from which content can be obtained can thereby be varied dynamically. Operations related to provision of content, such as to many users, are therefore easy.
Abstract: A driving circuit drives a switching element such that an ON-period of the switching element is shorter when a power receiving device is detected not to be placed than when the power receiving device is placed.
Abstract: A playback device generates a virtual package in response to a construction request made by an application. After the virtual package is thus generated, a virtual file system 23 allows a file recorded on a removable medium in an 8.3 format to be accessed with use of an alias in a Long File Name format, based on a merge management information file that indicates a correspondence between a file path in the 8.3 format and a file path in the Long File Name format.
Abstract: Data communication is carried out with any of other video game processing devices. Commands are distributed to each of other player characters operated by each of other players of the other video game processing devices. Each of the commands causes a predetermined special effect to the player character. A command releasing operation in which by erasing one or more command from the retained commands the one or more command is released is performed at a time when a predetermined releasing condition is satisfied. The released commands are visualized as icons. A distance between each of the released command icons and the player character is determined. The player character is caused to newly retain any of the released commands in the case where it is determined that the player character exists inside a predetermined distance from the released command icon indicating the released command.
Abstract: This invention provides a terminal searching for web pages on the web and extracting the prescribed data from the web pages and a server verifying and accumulating the extracted data. The prescribed data can be extracted from the web pages on the web in a manner that the process relating to the data extraction is distributed between the terminal and the server. Therefore, necessary processes up to the data extraction are distributed, and the burden placed on each apparatus can be lessened. Further, new data not formerly found in the web pages can be found out and extracted from the web pages that has been updated or newly made.

Abstract: The present invention aims at providing a game such that even when player uses predetermined characters for a long time to proceed the game as in the case of the RPG, there is no possibility that player may become weary of motion patterns of characters used. The present invention is essentially based on the finding that there is employed a scheme to store motion information of characters every title data obtained when specific conditions of the game are attained to permit a player to set an arbitrary title data with respect to a character so that the player can change motion information of each character as occasion demands also in the progress of the game.
