  • Patent number: 8317579
Abstract: A video game is provided in which a player can switch a player character in a battle to an enemy character by a switching operation. With such a switching operation, the player performs the battle with the enemy character. If a predetermined time elapses, the enemy character is switched back to the player character. At this time, an HP of the enemy character reflects on an HP of the player character. If a special ability of the enemy character is used, the special ability is inherited by the player character and can be used in battles thereafter.

  • Patent number: 8317580
Abstract: The present invention provides a game apparatus, a game progressing method, and a recording medium that remove dissatisfaction of a player generated when an operation is not reflected on a progressing result of a game in spite of the operation being made at an appropriate timing and enhance entertaining potentialities. If an operation instruction on a player character is received from a player, a time period that has elapsed since a previous state has changed to a current state is measured. When the elapsed time is within a predetermined time, allowable actions in the current state and the previous state are inquired. When the elapsed time is not within the predetermined time, allowable actions in the current state are inquire. Based on an inquiry result, it is determined whether the operation instruction from the player is an allowable action.

  • Patent number: 8315863
Abstract: A post filter and a decoder enabling improvement of the sound quality of a decoded signal even when the sound quality of the decoded signal is different from the bands are disclosed. A frequency converting section determines a decoded spectrum. A power spectrum computing section computes the power spectrum from the decoded spectrum. A correction band determining section determines the band in which the power spectrum is corrected according to layer information. A power spectrum correcting section corrects the power spectrum in the corrected band in such a way that the variation along the frequency axis is suppressed. An inverse converting section subjects the corrected power spectrum to inverse conversion to determine an autocorrelation function. An LPC analyzing section determines an LPC coefficient of the determined autocorrelation function.

  • Patent number: 8314175
Abstract: The present invention provides an aqueous composition for recording medium in a form of aqueous dispersion solution comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin (A) having an average saponification degree of 80-89 mol % and an average polymerization degree of 1700-3500, and containing a polyvinyl alcohol having 1,2-diol structural unit on a side chain thereof, represented by a general formula (1); an inorganic microparticle (B); and a boron compound (C). The aqueous composition of the present invention is not likely to become gel and therefore exhibit excellent preservation stability. Furthermore, the aqueous composition provides a recording layer serving as an ink receiving layer/glossy layer satisfied with gloss, ink absorbency, and water resistance. Accordingly, the present invention may also provide an ink-jet recording medium satisfying surface gloss by forming a coating layer of the inventive aqueous composition on a substrate, even when the substrate has water resistance.
