    Abstract: An absolute pressure sensor subassembly includes a top cap bonded to a pressure sensor die and enclosing a reference vacuum. The subassembly is initially held in place within a housing by a vacuum or sublimeable solid adhesive while wire bonds from the subassembly to the housing leads are completed. A self-contained adhesive drop on the inner surface of the housing cover contacts the sensor subassembly when the cover is placed on the housing body and the sensor subassembly is supported by the adhesive drop.

    Abstract: Sense amplifier input stage for reading the output of a single array memory having an "unknown" output, a reference "one" output and a reference "zero" output. A first differential amplifier compares the "unknown" output to the reference "one" output, and a second differential amplifier compares the unknown output to a reference zero output. The first and second differential amplifier share the same load Y resistors. Voltage offsets arising in the memory and in the sense amplifier input stage are compensated before the comparisons are made. When the unknown is a one the output has a first polarity and when the unknown is a zero, the output has an opposite polarity.

Individual magnetic field detecting elements are located on the substrate and are radially displaced from the hole. A conductor extends through the hole. The magnetic field detecting elements are magnetized to a predetermined state. Current carried by the conductor creates a magnetic field around the conductor which alters the predetermined state of magnetization of the magnetic field detecting devices. Various readout techniques may be used to determine the altered state of magnetization which is representative of the magnetic field and may be easily related to the current.

The clamp rests on a peripheral portion of the back surface of the wafer with the remaining back surface exposed to the backside etching process. A second polysilicon layer is deposited and doped to achieve a desired temperature coefficient of resistivity of 1 to 2%/.degree.C. The second polysilicon layer forms an IR sensitive element over the oxide region. Openings are etched in the IR sensitive element to permit an etchant to remove the oxide region resulting in the sensitive element being suspended over a cavity.
