Patent number: 4299473Abstract: An electrophotographic copying machine in which a thick sheet of small size such as a postcard is used as a transfer sheet. Transfer sheets stored in a tray are fed one after another as the copying operation proceeds, to a treating station such as a transfer section. The transfer sheet is brought into a temporary waiting condition on a carrying means provided in front of a transfer means and is again transported when a stopper provided in connection with the carrying means is retracted from the transportation passage in response to a synchronous signal. The carrying means is brought into its operative condition prior to the retraction of the stopper so that the transfer sheet is again transported at a constant speed.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1978Date of Patent: November 10, 1981Assignee: Konishiroku Photo Industry Co., Ltd.Inventor: Koichi Endo

Patent number: 4298318Abstract: A rotary valve for changing the connections of the fluid inlet passages and the fluid outlet passages of a Gerotor type fluid rotary machine in which the fluid is contracted and expanded by a plurality of cavities defined by the teeth formed on a stator and a rotor in response to the orbital rotation of the rotor formed with one less external tooth than the number of the internal teeth on the stator. The rotary valve selectively connects the fluid passages with the Gerotor cavities by means of its rotary commutator which orbits with a phase difference of 90.degree. with respect to the Gerotor rotor, and the commutator is rotatably accommodated in a spacer disposed between an end cover and a port member having a plurality of fluid passages. The clearance at each side of the commutator is permanently determined by the width of the spacer.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1979Date of Patent: November 3, 1981Assignee: Tokyo Keiki Company LimitedInventors: Shunji Tsuchiya, Takashi Takamatsu

Patent number: 4298102Abstract: A shock absorber has expansion and compression damping characteristics readily adjustable, if required, to different extents. In one preferred form, it includes an adjustable orifice associated with a piston, and the orifice includes an annular flexible valve element and a valve-seat member engageable with the inner peripheral edge thereof. The valve-seat member is formed at the bottom with feet which are arranged opposite to a stepped or continuously inclined annular top surface portion of the piston and is axially movable for engagement with the latter. The amount of axial movement of the valve-seat member and hence that of deflection of the valve element is adjustable by rotation of the valve-seat member relative to the piston through provision therefor at the top of the cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1979Date of Patent: November 3, 1981Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masao Nishikawa, Hitoshi Yamamoto
