  • Patent number: 5140935
Abstract: A fluidization and conveyor arrangement for electrostatic powder coating devices. The arrangement includes a container pivotable by 180.degree. on a carrying frame, and a cover, having a fluidization plate. A powder discharge tube and a compressed air tube pass through the cover and into the container. A transport package, for example a sack filled with powder, is introduced into the container. The container is then closed with the cover, and is pivoted by 180.degree. to an operating position, in which fluidization and discharge of the powder may be affected.

  • Patent number: 5142653
Abstract: For determining the quality of virtual connections between input lines and output lines of an ATM switching equipment, the plurality of accepted and output message cells is separately acquired in a call-associated manner in the ATM switching equipment on the basis of cell headers of the message cells accepted via the input lines and, respectively, output to the output lines. In response to the cleardown of a respective virtual connection, the loss rate of the message cells is then calculated as a measure for the quality of the respective virtual connection from the previously, separately-acquired plurality of accepted and output message cells.

  • Patent number: 5141162
Abstract: A liquid spray gun whih includes an improved flow rate control. The improved flow rate control results from a valve in the supply inlet line which can restrict the flow of liquid material from the supply container. The ability to vary the flow rate is improved because, while the electromagnetic motor is maintained at maximum electrical input power, inlet flow can be accurately regulated. Maintaining maximum input pressure ensures optimum spray performance. Finer atomization at lower flow rates can be achieved from the improved flow control system.

  • Patent number: 5142347
Abstract: In symmetrically blocking thyristors and in diodes, a lowering of the storage charge at the anode side is desirable in some applications. This is achieved by shorts lying in the emitter zone of the anode side. These shorts are formed between zones of a first conductivity type embedded in the emitter zone and zones of a second conductivity type. The zones of the second conductivity type are deeper than those of the first conductivity type and partially overlap the zones of the first conductivity type. Given low current density, these shorts are ineffective; however, they are effective at high current densities. Shorts of this type can also be used at the cathode side in specific diodes that are to be utilized as free-wheeling diodes for GTO thyristors, and can also be employed in asymmetrical GTO thyristors at the anode side.

  • Patent number: 5141390
Abstract: A vertical-axis cantilevered-shaft centrifugal pump having an impeller within a pump casing, an intake end in fluid communication with a fluid supply, and a dischage end, in which is provided an integral by-pass. The pump is operated at a speed representing a relatively high level of pump efficiency to produce a relatively stable fluid flow from the fluid supply through the casing. The first portion of the fluid flow from the casing is directed through the discharge end of the pump, while a second portion of the fluid flow is diverted from the casing back to the fluid supply. The second diverted portion may be returned to the supply through a plurality of outlets located on volutes of the pump casing. The discharge from the pump can be controlled using a variable control valve adjacent the discharge end of the pump.
