  • Patent number: 5145808
Abstract: A method of crystallizing a semiconductor thin film moves a laser beam emitted by a pulse laser in a first direction to irradiate the semiconductor tin film with the laser beam for scanning. The laser beam is split into a plurality of secondary laser beams of a width smaller than the pitch of step feed, respectively having different energy densities forming a stepped energy density distribution decreasing from the middle toward the opposite ends thereof with respect to the direction of step feed. The energy density of the first secondary laser beam corresponding to the middle of the energy distribution is higher than a threshold energy density, i.e., the minimum energy density that will melt the semiconductor thin film to make the same amorphous, and lower than a roughening energy density, i.e.

  • Patent number: 5144344
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pair of spectacles for stereoscopic pictures based upon the principle of the Pulfrich effect. The direction in which a moving object is moving in a picture or the moving direction of a video camera is marked on the spectacles for stereoscopic pictures to obtain a correct stereoscopic image, so that the viewer can easily and readily determine which of a darker lens or a lighter lens is applied to which eye. According to the invention, the connecting portions between the front frame and the temples of the spectacles are formed as a pair of hinges which protrude from the inside front frame and are spaced apart from each other so that a space therebetween receives the hinges of a pair of standard glasses worn by a viewer to support the stereoscopic spectacles on the standard glasses with great stability. This also enables the stereoscopic spectacles to be reduced in size so that they may be worn more stably by those who do not wear vision correcting glasses.

  • Patent number: 5144271
Abstract: In an electromagnetic power relay, a spring carrier and a cooperating contact element are plugged into slots in a base member from two opposite sides. Terminal rails extending parallel along the outside walls of the base member to an end face of the relay have, at the end face, portions which are crimped inwardly within pockets in the housing cap. The terminal elements then emerge from the outside walls of the relay at a predetermined insulating distance from the side walls of the relay and form solder and plug terminals. Within the pockets, the terminal elements are provided with fastening projections for anchoring, the fastening projections lying in the inwardly offset planes of the terminal elements. An adequate insulating distance from the side walls of the relay is, thus, provided so that the relays may be tightly grouped on a printed circuit board.
