  • Patent number: 5134756
Abstract: A method and apparatus for molding a plastic cap on a preformed metallic shank includes inserting the shank on a strip material by a shank insertion device such that a head of the shank is elevated above the strip material. A molding device, having an open mold cavity is engaged with the strip material such that the strip material acts as a portion of the mold. The elevated head is positioned within the cavity. Plastic is injected into the mold cavity to surround and encapsulate the button head.

  • Patent number: 5135420
Abstract: A process of manufacturing a cathode ray tube wherein trimming cleaning of an inner wall of a skirt portion of a panel is performed in a non-contacting condition to prevent splashing of water and trimming cleaning of panels of different sizes can be performed. A rotational position signal is detected in response to rotation of a panel, and while the distance between a cleaning nozzle and an inner wall of a skirt portion of the panel is kept constant in response to such rotational position signal, cleaning liquid is supplied through the cleaning nozzle to clean the inner wall of the skirt portion of the panel.

  • Patent number: 5134056
Abstract: A solder resist and a positively-acting photoresist are successively applied on a surface-wide basis onto a printed circuit board, whereupon the photoresist is selectively exposed and developed in the region of plated-through holes and/or solder pads of a printed conductor pattern carried on the printed circuit board, preferably with the assistance of laser beams. Subsequently, the solder resist is stripped in the regions not protected by the photoresist, i.e. in the regions of plated-through holes and/or solder pads and, as a last step, the remaining photoresist is likewise stripped. The method is particularly suited for the application of a solder resist layer onto three-dimensional printed circuit boards since traditional mask techniques for structuring the solder resist cannot be employed with respect to three-dimensional printed circuit boards.

  • Patent number: 5134326
Abstract: A voice coil type actuator wherein the length in an axial direction and the number of parts is reduced without deteriorating a required function and the magnetic flux density in a space in which a movable coil is located is substantially uniform over the entire length in an axial direction. The voice coil type actuator comprises a fixed guide shaft having a radial portion made of a permeable material and a movable body supported for axial sliding movement on the guide shaft. The movable coil is supported coaxially with the guide shaft on the movable body. A yoke having a substantially cylindrical profile is disposed in such a manner as to surround a range of movement of the movable coil, and a pair of fixed magnets are disposed in contact with the guide shaft and the yoke and magnetized with the opposite polarities in a radial direction.

  • Patent number: 5133349
Abstract: During optimization intervals prescribed by the heart pacemaker, the stimulation frequency is periodically changed and an acquisition of a measured value that is dependent on the cardiac minute output is respectively phase-synchronized with the change in stimulation frequency. An identification is thereby made whether the measured value that is dependent on the cardiac minute output changes given the change of the stimulation frequency. A number of curves are stored representing different relationships between a regulating variable, derived from the measured value, and the stimulation frequency. The stimulation frequency of the pacemaker is set based on one of these curves, as selected by an optimization controller to which the regulating variable is supplied.

  • Patent number: 5134047
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a color cathode ray tube utilizing an external surface exposure process, a fluorescent slurry to be applied to a panel contains a photosensitive resin composition composed of an aqueous emulsion of polyvinyl compound resin containing a saponified polyvinyl acetate with an addition-condensed photosensitive group as a protective colloid and an aqueous solution of a saponified polyvinyl acetate with an addition-condensed photosensitive group. Accordingly, a resistance of a fluorescent layer formed on the panel against an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide is improved, and an anti-fogging performance of the fluorescent layer is also improved.

  • Patent number: 5132574
Abstract: An output circuit for a memory device has four MOS transistors. A first MOS transistor and a second MOS transistor comprise an output stage of the output circuit, and a control circuit controls the voltages of the gates of the first and the second MOS transistors. A third MOS transistor has its source connected to the gate of the second MOS transistor, and a fourth MOS transistor has its source connected to the gate of the first MOS transistor. When the data which are supplied to the control circuit are changed, the third or the fourth MOS transistor assists the level shift of the gate of the second and the first MOS transistor at the beginning of the level shift. By continuing the level shift, the third or the fourth MOS transistor is turned off. As a result, the source-gate voltage of the third or the fourth MOS transistor becomes lower than its threshold voltage, so that the switching noise or ground noise is reduced.
