  • Patent number: 6860545
Abstract: A travel trailer having a two-level chassis supporting at least two discrete floor sections at at least two different heights above the ground with at least one of those floors having a bathroom portion being supported by an upper chassis beam is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the chassis has a substantially horizontal forward upper portion and a substantially horizontal rearward lower portion, and an upper floor is secured to the upper portion and a lower floor is secured to the lower portion with an intermediate floor positioned below the upper edge of the upper portion of the chassis to a height intermediate that of the upper and lower floors. In an alternative preferred embodiment, the intermediate floor is suspended below the upper chassis portion. The area underneath the intermediate section and above the bottom of the trailer defines a storage area that is not blocked or limited in size by the width of the chassis beams.

  • Patent number: 6848747
Abstract: An article of furniture formed from a plurality of slotted substantially planar members joined together at their respective slots is disclosed. The planar members can be formed into a chair, a bench, a bed, or a table. In a preferred embodiment, the furniture is doll furniture, and the chair can also include a slotted substantially planar desk member or tray member, thereby allowing the chair to serve as a desk or highchair. The seat of the chair and the seats of the bench preferably include a substantially arcuate protrusion sized so that a doll's legs straddle it. Accordingly, dolls with at least a pair of legs extending therefrom and having no pivoting leg joints, only pivoting hip joints, or pivoting knee joints and pivoting hip joints can all appear to be sitting in the chair simply by straddling the arcuate protrusion. The planar members can include surfaces adapted to allow the user to apply desirable surface ornamentation thereon.

  • Patent number: 6848568
Abstract: A method, apparatus and software product for moving bulk materials effectively through a path gate in a distribution system provides at least two independently operable conveyors aligned in series such that the end of the first conveyor is adjacent to the beginning of the second conveyor with a pass gate positioned downstream of the two conveyors. In cases where the bulk material has formed into a cohesive block, the first conveyor is operated to bring the block near the second conveyor. Then, the first conveyor is slowed or stopped while the second conveyor is operated at a higher speed than the first conveyor. This action causes the portion of the cohesive block adjacent to the second conveyor to topple or break down, thereby breaking down the cohesiveness of the block and directing a portion of this toppled bulk material forward onto the second conveyor. Then, the second conveyor urges this portion of the bulk material toward the downstream path gate.

  • Patent number: 6843862
Abstract: A substantially lead-free solder with enhanced properties comprises from 88.5% to 93.5% tin; from 3.5% to 4.5% silver; from 2.0% to 6.0% indium; and from 0.3% to 1.0% copper. The solder may also comprise up to 0.5% of an anti-oxidant or anti-skinning additive. A solder embodying the invention finds particular utility in wave-soldering processes where it may be used as a direct replacement for conventional tin/lead solder.

  • Patent number: 6834692
Abstract: A tip for a rotary debarker has a polygonal main body with a front surface and a rear surface, and at least one cutting blade along each of the opposed edges. The main body includes a non-circular mounting boss extending from the rear surface. The main body is mounted to a tip holder that has a non-circular seat for receiving the non-circular mounting boss. The non-circular mounting boss and seat restrict relative movement between the tip and the holder during cutting operations. The tip is reversible relative to the holder to provide two operative cutting blades per tip.

  • Patent number: 6819772
Abstract: A personal audio set, such as a headphone, earphone, or headset, that includes a pivoting clip-type mounting portion is disclosed. A pair of arms are pivotally secured to the mounting portion to define a substantially c-shape for engaging the ear-base of a wearer's ear. Each arm is pivotally secured to the mounting portion preferably at a common first pivot, and biased to a neutral position with respect to each other. The arms move apart from each other about the pivot when being installed or removed from an ear, and seek to return to their neutral positions when placed on an ear, thereby securing the personal audio set on the base of a wearer's ear. Preferably, the mounting portion is also pivotally secured to the personal audio set at a second pivot hat is substantially perpendicular to the first pivot and biased to a neutral position such that the audio set is biased against the wearer's ear.
