Abstract: A golf tool having a plastic body with a two prong divot repair tool that protrudes from a first end of the body for repairing golf course divots. Located within the body is an integrated lighting device or, in the alternative, a waterproof empty chamber adapted to receive a lighting device or any item that can fit within the empty chamber.

Abstract: A generator which extracts operating energy from waves of a body of water. A plurality of floats may be suspended beside a rotary power collector. The rotary power collector is arranged to turn unidirectionally as the floats rise and fall vertically on the waves. Rotation of the rotary power collector is transmitted to a rotary generator. The floats may comprise rigid rods each having a finger which engages and rotates the rotary power collector. Alternatively, the floats may be suspended from ropes or the like which are wound around a reel, with the reel driving the rotary power collector in a manner controlled by ratchet action.

Abstract: A device for holding and manipulating compressible cleaning implements is disclosed wherein the cleaning implements may be made from a compressible material and may have a compressible portion. The device may include a handle. A blade may be attached to the handle. An outer blade edge may surround the blade. An opening through the blade may be defined by an inner blade edge. A channel may pass through the blade and may extend from the inner blade edge to the outer blade edge, and may be defined by a first channel edge and a second channel edge. The compressible portion of the cleaning implement may be passed through the channel into the opening and may be held in the opening by engagement with the inner blade edge. Each of the first and second channel edges may respectively define first and second circumferentially directed points configured to poke into the compressible material.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a toilet is disclosed. The toilet is of the type having a waste outlet on a bottom thereof. The apparatus includes a platform having a top surface sized and shaped to contact at least a portion of the bottom of the toilet when the toilet is placed on the platform. A recess is formed in the platform and is open to the top surface and positioned on the platform such that the waste outlet of the toilet can be substantially aligned with the recess when the toilet is supported by the platform.

Abstract: Protection for the otherwise exposed sharp point of a needle of an injection device. A two part cover for the needle comprises a stationary base which engages the injection device, and a relatively movable cover. The cover is guided to slide longitudinally along the base by a groove-and-projection system. The projection is held in an initial position, and slides along the groove during injection. At the end of the injection, the projection is immobilized in the groove at a final position, and immobilizes the moveable cover in a deployed position covering the needle.

Abstract: A system for converting audible air traffic control instructions for pilots operating from an air facility to textual format. The system may comprise a processor connected to a jack of the standard pilot headset and a separate portable display screen connected to the processor. The processor may have a language converting functionality which can recognize traffic control nomenclature and display messages accordingly. Displayed text may be limited to information intended for a specific aircraft. The display may show hazardous discrepancies between authorized altitudes and headings and actual altitudes and headings. The display may be capable of correction by the user, and may utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) to obtain appropriate corrections. The system may date and time stamp communications and hold the same in memory. The system may have computer style user functions such as scrollability and operating prompts.

Abstract: An envelope according to the present invention includes an envelope body having a first end and defining an interior area selectively accessible adjacent the first end through which articles may be inserted. The envelope includes a flap extending from the first end that is selectively movable between first and second configurations in which the interior area is accessible or enclosed, respectively. Further, the envelope includes adhesive situated on the flap for interacting with the envelope body to maintain the flap at the second configuration. In addition, flavoring is disposed the flap, but at a position that is adjacent to and distinct from the adhesive. The envelope may include first and second indicia on the flap, with one indicia including only adhesive and with the other indicia including only flavoring. The indicia may present geometric shapes, or alphanumeric data such as an advertisement or other messages.

Abstract: A skateboard truck includes a hanger and a truck plate. The hanger includes a yoke with a first yoke portion and a second yoke portion. The truck plate includes a first connection portion slideably connected to the first yoke portion through a shock absorber. The truck plate also includes a second connection portion connected to the second yoke portion through a connecting bar. The connecting bar is rotatably connected to the truck plate.

Abstract: A holder for holding a limited number of golf clubs, less than a full standard set of clubs, in an organized way. The holder may comprise three manually assembled snap fit components including two end plates and a central shaft which spans and connects the two end plates. Each end plate may be identical to the other, having a plurality of recesses located about its periphery, for receiving the shafts of golf clubs in releasable snap fit fashion. The end plates and their recesses are arranged so that the golf clubs are held parallel to one another and to the central shaft of the holder. The central shaft may be contoured to include finger grips for example, thereby serving as a handle for grasping the holder both alone and also with golf clubs retained thereon.

Abstract: A support for supporting an object such as audiovisual equipment within a motor vehicle in operable position for viewing by passengers of the motor vehicle. The support may comprise an expansible post comprising spring urged telescoping sections and an adjustable shelf. The shelf may comprise a collar having a setscrew enabling selective positioning of the shelf along the post both along the length and also at a selected angular orientation. A variable length arm may fix the shelf at a selected orientation within a range from vertical to horizontal when the post is vertically mounted within the motor vehicle. The post may have a soft pad for protecting the ceiling surface of the motor vehicle. The spring may be exposed at the bottom end of the post.

Abstract: A system for advising the operator of a transportation vehicle to impending travel conditions responsive to proximity to the area affected by the travel conditions. The system has location determination capability such as a GPS system and a source of travel condition advisory messages. When a travel condition advisory message is received and the vehicle is in the affected area, an audible signal is delivered within the transportation vehicle. Apparatus of the system may be self-contained and located aboard the transportation vehicle or alternatively may comprise message transmission apparatus located externally of the transportation vehicle.

Abstract: A system for monitoring progress of at least two parties who have agreed to meet at a predetermined destination substantially at the same time. The system tracks location of each party and estimates remaining time or distance or both of each party to the destination. Querying of each party as to location may be adjusted as to frequency of polling for example based on changing progress towards the destination. Location or remaining time or distance to the destination may be communicated to each of the parties. The system may establish a new predetermined destination based on updated progress of the parties.

Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed for improving performance in sports where a swinging motion is needed. In some embodiments, a swing resistance device may be attached to or be built into elongated sport apparatus, such as racquets, clubs, bats, sticks, and the like, configured to resist a swinging motion of the sport apparatus by capturing air and utilizing a force of air resistance, similar to a parachute. The swing resistance device is generally attached to the elongated sport apparatus by coupling components that allow the swing resistance device to freely rotate around the effective longitudinal axis of the elongated sport apparatus. During a swing, air resistance creates dynamic forces that over time may improve swing power and path.
