Abstract: The present invention is directed to a one piece sinker reversibly attachable to a fishing line. The sinker is a streamlined, truncated cone shape having a line accepting passage along the center line thereof. The sinker includes line centering surfaces to prevent line twist as the sinker is drawn though water, and a elongated thumb slot for inserting a tool having a length longer than the sinker to allow a user to manually opening the sinker. Also disclosed is a method of making the sinker employing a unique core blade punch for forming the line accepting passage with the sinker jaws having discontinuous but mateable line engaging surfaces.

Abstract: A water treatment composition comprised of a metal ion yielding material secured to an adhesive, with the adhesive secured to a structure, so that when the structure is placed in a body of water the concentration of metal ions is maintained at level sufficient to kill bacteria and sufficient to permit release of metal ions over an extended period of time. Also, a method of securing a metal ion yielding material, as well as a method of manufacture of an article, by first adhering the metal ion yielding material to a structure and then forming the structure into an article for placement in a body of water to maintain the desired metal ion concentration therein.

Abstract: A mud cap assembly for attachment to a wheel rim comprising a member expandable for forming interlocking engagement with a wheel rim, a cover having an outer surface to inhibit track material from accumulating thereon and a plurality of fasteners for temporarily securing the cover to the member so that track material impinging on the cover slides off the cover to inhibit the creation of an unbalanced condition.

Abstract: An ectosealed toiletry dispensers which is applicable to toiletries, roll-on antiperspirants in particular, that are applied to the human axilla. A cap, an applicator such as a roll-on ball and a resilient sealing ring that seals between a shoulder of the container and an annular lip of the cap to provide an ectoseal. The sealing ring has sufficient durometer to conform to mold flashings as well as other molding irregularities. Securing the cap to the body with the ectoseal sandwiched between the container and the cap allows one to create a fluid tight seal that is maintainable under high pressure differential conditions to prevent liquid or air from escaping from the container.

Abstract: A consumer information projection system composed of a remote control unit such as a microcomputer which sends commands through the Internet to an on-site central processing unit that will control the images produced by at least one digital imager within a building. The projector or projectors create an information carrying image that is generated on a viewable surface for a customer to see. If desired the customer can orally request product information by speaking into a voice recognition system that controls a database of product specific information that is deliverable in either visual or audio form or both.

Abstract: There is a lock release apparatus for providing delayed passage past a movable barrier such as an exit door which is held to a closed position by a lock. The apparatus includes a beam transmitter, a beam receiver, a timer for releasing the lock after a predetermined delay, a trigger associated with the timer and a beam reflector affixed to an operating bar on the movable barrier. In use of the apparatus when the barrier is closed and locked the transmitter directs a beam onto the reflector at an orientation such that reflection is detected by the beam receiver when the operating bar is undisturbed. Subsequent movement of the operating bar to open the barrier terminates or shifts the reflection away from the receiver to trigger the timer to release the lock after the predetermined delay.

Abstract: There is a camper for a utility vehicle. The camper includes a base frame for fitting into the cargo tray of the utility. There is a pair of bed frames disposed above the base and slidable laterally between inner closed positions substantially within the width of the cargo tray and open positions of use extending outward of the cargo tray sides. There is a roof panel movable between a lower closed position and a raised position of use and a flexible sheet material extending between outer edges of the bed frames and the roof panel. The camper is collapsible for travelling by moving the bed frames and roof panel from the positions of use to the closed positions so that a compact low profile shape is provided which is set substantially within the transverse dimensions of the cargo tray.

Abstract: A decorative painting kit including multiple-color paint applicators and a method of decoratively painting a surface though in situ surface blending of two or more paints of different colors by using a multiple-color paint applicator which is stroked over the same surface a sufficient number of time to at least partially blend the different paint colors. The partial in situ surface blending of two or more paints produces a decorative pattern on the painted surface that is color characterized by having areas with some of the original paint colors and other areas with various blends of the original paint colors thereon to produce a decoratively painted surface.

Abstract: An end-cap lockingly securable to the end of the pipe at the same time a secondary action such as a branch line is formed to the main pipe line. The end cap housing has an integral branch forming member to allow a user to lock the end cap to the pipe by forming a branch line on the side of the pipe with the end cap housing sandwiching the end of a pipe between a pipe insert and a pipe receptor in the end cap housing. The pipe receptor includes an insert having a sealing surface, which when engaged to the interior surface of a pipe, forms a leak-proof relationship with the pipe.

Abstract: A closed system and method that includes a source of pressurizeable molten lead connected to a mold having a mold cavity therein with the mold maintainable at sufficiently low temperature so that a charge of molten lead located in the mold cavity solidifies to thereby form a solidified casting in the mold cavity. A housing having a runner, is maintainable at sufficiently high temperature to maintain the molten lead in a molten state so that the mold cavity can be refilled with a fresh charge molten lead when a solidified casting is removed therefrom without introducing air to the closed system. A shut-off valve, having an open position to allow a charge of molten lead to flow into the mold cavity and a closed position to prevent molten lead from flowing out of the runner as the molten lead in mold cavity solidifies with the shut-off valve configurable to intensify the pressure of the lead in the mold cavity.

Abstract: An interactive method of voting wherein the voter is issued a voter-specific identification code which allows the voter to call an interactive telephone system which asks the voter questions and then checks a database to confirm the correctness of the answers. If the answers are correct the person calling is confirmed as the person identified in the voter-specific-identification code. The interactive telephone system polls the voter and records the voter preference on issues or candidates. Once the vote is completed the link between the voter identification information and the vote is severed thereby ensuring the secrecy of the ballot while still maintaining a record of who has voted.

Abstract: An improved twist-on wire connector that permits the user to form the junction ends of wire leads into a low resistance electrical connection with the twist-on wire connector including a self adhering lubricant located along a portion of the interior of the twist-on wire connector. In one embodiment the wires are drawn into the housing by a spiral thread through the twisting action of the wires with respect to housing. As the wires are drawn into the spiral thread, the torque applied to the wires increases until the wires can no longer be hand twisted into the wire connector. Once the wires are drawn into contact with the lubricant the torque resistance, which is a result of frictional resistance between the wires and the spiral thread, decreases while the radial compressive forces between the wires and the spiral thread are substantially unaffected.

Abstract: A water purification device, method and system with the water purification device having a container for holding a water purification material therein with the water purification device including a shroud extending in a direction generally normal to a flow of debris laden water with the shroud inhibiting direct flow of debris into a water inlet in the water purification device by directing water and debris over the shroud and around the water purification device while a portion of the water can be directed laterally into the water purification material within the water purification device to thereby purify the water that flows over the water purification materials with the water purification device including multiple spaced and positioned water inlets so that the likelihood of the water inlet being completely obstructed is remote.

Abstract: A regenerative water treatment composition and a process of making a regenerative water treatment composition by adhesively coating a first bacteria killing material such as a zinc carrier with a second bacterial killing material such as silver chloride for insitu killing of bacteria and a second bacteria killing material for killing and carrying away the dead bacteria on the silver chloride to allow the silver chloride to continue to kill or damage bacteria that comes into contact with the silver chloride.
