  • Patent number: 6880610
Abstract: A door system having first and second sets of panels with each set having leading and trailing panels, and having a different width. The leading panel of the first set includes a stop and the leading panel of the second set includes a pair of stops. First and second cable runs connected to a motor for driving the first and second sets of panels. The first cable run includes a clamp disposed within the stop of the leading panel of the first set and the second cable run includes a clamp disposed between the pair of stops of the leading panel of the second set. The space between the clamp of the second cable run and the pair of stops provides for a delayed engagement of the clamp of the second cable run with one of the pair of stops during initial movement of the second cable run. Notwithstanding the delayed engagement, the first and second sets of panels arrive at their full open positions simultaneously. Each set of panels includes a latch to connect the leading and trailing panels.

  • Patent number: 6871921
Abstract: A divider assembly for installation in a tool box or chest drawer to provide separate drawer areas for the storage of various grouped articles. Perimeter rails are joined by corner clips to maintain a rectangular shape of the divider assembly. Divider rails extend intermediate perimeter rails to form storage areas of various shapes and sizes. Divider clips receive the divider rail ends. Projections and recesses on the divider clips and the perimeter rail members confine the divider rails against displacement. Flexure of the divider clips permit snapped engagement of the clips with the perimeter rail member.

  • Patent number: 6722816
Abstract: A chassis having a main member carries adjustable side members defining an area for the reception of berm forming particulate material conveyed by an air flow from a remote source. The discharged material forms a continuous berm of constant size and shape. Wheel assemblies are adjustably carried enabling the berm cross-sectional shape to best suit the job requirements. Forward travel to the apparatus may be imparted by a steerable tongue assembly.

  • Patent number: 6698284
Abstract: A gauge includes a translucent tube assembly having metallic tubular end segments. The end segments are endwise embedded within the ends of the translucent tube and permit dispensing with packing when joined to shut off valves at the ends of the tube assembly. The shut off valves are in communication with vertically spaced apart ports in a liquid storage tank. Liquid level in the tube assembly corresponds to the level liquid in the storage tank.

  • Patent number: 6684527
Abstract: A wheel includes a peripheral outer wall onto which are sequentially loaded veneer panels. The panels are held in place by cable runs against a heated outer surface of the wheel outer wall. Drying of the veneer panels occurs during wheel rotation. A heated fluid medium such as hot oil flows through an annular chamber of the wheel. A series of inlet conduits supply the annular chamber with the heated medium while return conduits return same to a heat source. Multiple tensioned runs of cable confine each panel in place during wheel rotation. A modified form utilizes a continuous screen for panel retention. A drive system imparts rotation to the wheel by powered components in contact with the wheel periphery. A panel pre-heater and jet dryers are supplemental heat sources.

  • Patent number: 6659318
Abstract: A spare tire carrier for securement to an end segment of a vehicle bumper and having a swingable arm for travel about horizontal and vertical axes to relocate a spare tire away from the rear of a vehicle and subsequently downward into ground contact. A bracket on a bumper attached mounting plate pivotally carries an arm actuator including oppositely threaded shafts and a sleeve thereon. A ratchet drive imparts rotational movement to the sleeve in a selected direction to either lift or lower the arm and spare tire thereon in a controlled manner and additionally prevents random vertical movement of the arm during vehicle travel. Locks engageable with the bracket and the arm prevent horizontal and upright travel of the arm when the vehicle is underway. The carrier may include a bracket, attachable to a hitch or vehicle frame, with a base plate at its outer end to support the carrier mounting plate. A modified preferred carrier includes an electrical linear actuator to control the carrier arm.
