Abstract: A device having pliable walls is provided for placement in the mouth of a patent to serve, in one manner, as a matrix barrier with walls of the device bearing upon opposed tooth surfaces. An inlet permits inflation of the device, as by a dental syringe, of the installed device. A valve closes under air pressure to seal the inlet which may also be closed by a fused inlet segment.

Abstract: A bird seed collector is located beneath a bird seed feeder and is attached to the feeder for receiving seed dislodged from the feeder. A mesh barrier extends adjacent an open end of the collector permitting seed passage while barring entry of birds or rodents into the collector. A cross member in the collector receives a hook for feeder attachment. The barrier is shaped to occupy a cross sectional area of the downwardly convergent shaped collector which prevents tipping of the barrier. Engagement of the cross member and barrier additionally supports the barrier against displacement. The collector may be formed from flexible sheet material.

Abstract: A housing includes a flange apertured to receive cap screws for temporary attachment to the block of an air cooled engine to enclose a piston rod and close a cylinder of the engine to protect engine parts from foreign matter. Oval flange openings accept cap screws for a range of cap screw patterns found in different engines.

Abstract: A light string holder has a central hand grip with upright members spaced from the hand grip to partially define storage areas for light string segments. Lateral extensions on the hand grip have horizontal edges for supporting spaced apart loops of a light string. Removal of the light string loops is upwardly to permit segments of the light string to disentangle from one another. Slots in the holder receive ends of the light string.

Abstract: A wall mounted hanger is of flexible wire construction including arcuate wire segments for insertion through an opening in the wall for endwise wall contact. The wire segments oppositely extend through the wall and merge with upwardly curved wire segments to form a hook. A modified wall hanger further includes multiple vertically spaced hooks supported by a wall and a wall abutting plate and fasteners for wall insertion. A still further modification includes wire segments extending outwardly from a wall and forming juxtaposed hooks for reception of a curtain or drapery rod with wire segments continuing to form a brace supported by a wall abutting plate.

Abstract: A truck is equipped with a bin from which bin contents are fed into a blower pressurized conduit by a feed screw conveyor immediately prior to entry into a flexible discharge conduit. Control means permit feed screw conveyor speed to be varied to control the rate of seed discharge into the pressurized conduit. Provision is made for a tank and nozzle for injecting water and/or fertilizer into the pressurized conduit. The truck includes a moving floor conveyor for transferring organic material toward vertical augers which break up the material and feed the material to a powered mixer prior to entry into a rotary feeder and the pressurized air flow. The mixing of seed with the organic material and/or water or fertilizer immediately prior to the composite flow of material entering a flexible discharge conduit mitigates damage to the seed.

Abstract: An attachment for a clothes dryer includes an air valve with a positionable spherical member for directing heated air to a wall vent or to a flexible conduit serving an article holder for drying various articles. A tee of the holder diverts air into rotationally positionable elbows and air tubes therein. A bracket holds the article holder stowed in compact abutment against a room wall. The holder is also removable from the bracket for floor placement and with the addition of tubular extensions for the drying of large items.

Abstract: A base is provided with right angularly disposed scales marked in degrees starting from zero degrees at an intersection of the scales. Indicators are elongate and pointed at their ends and each of different length. Placement of an indicator on the base in a diagonal manner with its ends on separate scales will indicate miter and bevel angles for a compound miter cut of each container panel. Each indicator bears a number to indicate the number of panels in a container having its panels cut using the compound angles identified by the indicator.

Abstract: A grading machine includes a forwardly projecting frame partially supported by a small tractor. A blade assembly on the frame disperses and strikes off aggregate for subsequent paving along a course. The blade assembly of the apparatus is indirectly supported by linear actuators in turn supported by a shoe which travels along the aggregate surface. Adjustable indicators on the flame indicate the relationship of the aggregate surface to a desired aggregate height with subsequent operation of the actuators lifting or lowering the blade assembly to raise or lower the blade assembly strike off action for return of the indicators to a predetermined relationship to guides, shown as concrete forms, extending along the course of the aggregate being laid. A vibratory compactor trails the shoe and may move about multiple axes. The shoe supported actuators may be operated in a uniform or differential manner, the latter resulting in transversely tilting the blade assembly for transverse sloping of the aggregate surface.

Abstract: A mixing chamber receives pyrophoric gas for mixing with oxygen prior to discharge into an upright housing of the apparatus. Tubular members within the housing define annular passageways through which the mixed gas and oxygen flow in a serpentine manner with reversal of flow direction promoting the precipitation of matter. A receptacle is removably attached to the housing for collection of matter with mounting means enabling periodic receptacle removal for cleaning. An enclosure about a housing end includes a door for access to the receptacle. Provision is made for ventilating of the enclosure to an exhaust conduit during door opening to prevent escape of gas and particulate to the atmosphere. A modified form of apparatus includes a filter and chemical bed for further treatment of the flow.

Abstract: A resilient ball is supported in place on a chair, exercising equipment or other support by a strap or metal clip for periodic exercising of hand and arm muscles. The strap may be one piece or segmented and provided with fabric closure pieces. The ball is secured to the strap or clip by a threaded fastener or a tensionable cord. Non-metallic elements isolate the threaded fasteners from damaging contact with supporting structures.

Abstract: A work glove having internal stitching joining a palm piece to a finger piece having three finger stalls. A fourth finger stall is integral with the palm piece as is an inner thumb member. An outer thumb member extends the along the side of the glove and is attached to a pair of thumb inserts attached to the palm piece. All stitching of the glove is concealed from the glove exterior and hence from contact with a workpiece.

Abstract: A conveyor tray is yieldably mounted on a table base and during table operation conveys articles therealong by vibratory motion. A base supports an electric motor for driving a power output shaft journalled on the base. Eccentrics mounted on the power output shaft impart orbital motion to bearing housings each mounted on a flexible connector plate. The upper ends of the connector plates are coupled to the table tray and impart arcuate motion to the tray. The connector plates are of fiberglass reinforced material with each plate supporting a bearing housing with an eccentric. Plates in place on each connector plate are detachably mounted to vary vibratory tray travel.

Abstract: A bottle for a dental rinse has a neck component provided with vertical and inclined channels to receive bayonet lock arms on a cap to lock the neck component to the cap. The bayonet arms project from a cap stem which is provided with an O-ring. Annular wall surfaces on the neck component alternately cooperate with the O-ring to seal and to vent the bottle during axial positioning of the neck component. The cap is mounted on a support and includes pressure and liquid carrying passageways in communication with the bottle.

Abstract: A hanger installing tool includes a pair of slidably mounted posts and an impact member for the driving of prongs of a joist hanger into a header. Arm members of the tool position the tool vertically on a header side with retainers on the arm members confining the tool in header engagement. Limit stops on the tool position an inserted hanger into place on the tool. A bracket attachable to the tool provides one of multiple limit stops for hangers of various lengths. A shoulder on the tool is abutted by the upper end of a hanger to contribute to proper hanger installation. Opposed surface of the tool are engaged in a biased manner by angular flanges of the hanger providing hanger retention during header attachment. Threaded sockets permit selective attachment of a tool handle to best serve convenient use of the tool.

Abstract: Upper and lower tubular components of the support members are in threaded engagement for beam support. Retainer cups secure the support member in place while a lock seats about the upper and lower components to prevent rotation after installation. An opening in the upper tubular component permits charging of the support member with concrete or other reinforcing agent.

Abstract: A rail is provided with a hand grip at one end and serves to receive wrench supports on which ratchet or socket wrenches are stored in parallel with the rail. The wrench supports include U-shaped brackets which may carry wrench extensions. Drive sockets are stored on rail mounted carriers each including a base on the rail, the number of which may be altered to carry a set of drive sockets for use with a ratchet or socket wrench supported by the rail. The drive socket carriers engage a recess in an internal socket wall. A modified form of the holder includes a rail having an irregular edge engaged by a projection on the base of a socket carrier or wrench support to prevent accidental displacement of the base along the rail. The drive socket carriers and wrench supports are preferably of plastic construction having a degree of flexibility. A modified holder dispenses with a hand grip on the rail.

Abstract: A support structure serves to elevate bedding from the feet of a patient or sleeper. A base of the support is of U-shape as is a positionable member of the support. Pairs of brackets pivotally support the positionable member which includes a lock for retention in the upright position. A retainer sheet on the base of the support is for insertion beneath a mattress to prevent shifting of the base member. Attachment of the retainer sheet to the base is in a removable manner to permit convenient separation and removal of the support from a bed.
