Abstract: A shielded housing for a computer or the like including top and bottom housing parts. The top housing part includes a top wall and two side walls. The bottom housing part includes bottom, front and back walls. An inverted V-shaped channel is carried by the side walls adjacent the lower edges for a cooperating fit between the channels and upturned flanges carried by the bottom wall planar surface. The inner surfaces of the housing parts include shielding for reduction of electrostatic noise from the enclosure. The cooperating fit between the channels and bottom wall flanges provide and improved side wall junction to prevent electrostatic noise from leaking along the side wall edges.

Abstract: A vehicle seat with built-in child safety seat including a five point restraint system directly anchored to the vehicle seat frame. Foldable headrests are provided which extend outwardly to form lateral headrests for a child carried by the child safety seat. The safety seat and headrests fold into the main vehicle seat back and are concealed when not in use.
Abstract: A slitter which includes multiple spaced pairs of arbors pivotally mounted to the slitter frame. Each pair of arbors includes cutter assemblies and is alignable with a shiftable bearing housing shiftably mounted to the frame. A drive member is fixedly connected to the bearing housing for correlative shiftable movement and causes correlative rotative movement of one pair of arbors.

Abstract: A pressure vessel arrangement including a lid with shiftable lock arms and a vent combination operating simultaneously. The lock arms passing through openings in the vessel housing sidewall when the lid is in the closed position. As the lock arms are shifted into a locked position a vent shaft into the vessel housing is sealed for pressurization of the vessel. Upon opening, the vent shaft is unsealed prior to disengagement of the lock arms to vent any residual pressure is the vessel safely.
Abstract: A back-up butterfly valve installed in a sewer pipe which will automatically close when sewage water back flows due to heavy rains thereby preventing sewage-laden liquids in the lower levels of residential homes and commercial buildings. The valve is motor actuated and is controlled by a liquid sensor disposed downstream. A clock is utilized to actuate a system by which the valve is opened and closed periodically preventing the valve from sticking or freezing which would leave the valve inoperative.
Abstract: A method and means for using a computer for sensing a capacitive change in a sensor having a capacitive impedance component. The sensor is connected between the input and output ports of a computer which produces a periodic waveform at the output port and monitors the capacitor's discharge or charge time at its input port. The monitored times are compared to previous monitored times wherein a change in time indicates a change in capacitance.
Abstract: A snap-on light socket for a flexible light strip assembly includes a plurality of sockets which are removably and randomly fixed to a standard insulated wire (conductor). The socket is, in affect, comprised of a primary chamber into which is inserted a pair of cooperating contacts which serve to grip a conventional wedge base lamp and which have sharply pointed portions extending therefrom which pierce the insulation of the wire to effect the electrical connection. A lower tunnel-like channel is formed to accept and to grip the insulated wire and includes slotted means permitting the said sharply pointed portions of the contacts to extend partially into said channels to be in position to pierce the insulation when the socket is affixed to the insulated wire.
Abstract: A rotatable cylinder to which is secured a unitary sleeve having cutting lands for cutting and creasing sheet material such as paper and cardboard. The sleeve is secured to the cylinder to prevent relative movement during the cutting process.

Abstract: A filter bag which is for use in a liquid filter and which includes a liquid impervious shape-retaining edge portion defining the opening into the filter bag. The edge portion includes an annular inverted V-shaped part which terminates in an annular upturned lip part. The inverted V-shaped part of the filter bag edge portion allows the bag to be placed over a protruding upwardly directed lip in the filter housing while, optionally, the upturned lip part of the bag's edge portion permits the bag to be fitted into the filter housing with the lip part being restrictively fitted between a shoulder or support and an overlying lip formed in the filter housing. Further, the upturned lip part of the filter bag can be wedged into a filter housing to secure the bag independently of the filter top.
Abstract: An adjustable uncoupling lever with a shiftable wedge lock. The lever includes two longitudinally shiftable rods having parts spaced from one another. The wedge lock is driven between the two rod parts to secure the rods together.
Abstract: A latch for use in window constructions, particularly vertically and horizontally sliding window constructions. The latch is generally mounted internally in a window sash frame so that its latch bolt protrudes from the sash to engage a guide slot in the main frame jamb or header of a window frame. The latch includes a thin rectangular base plate having upstanding bosses on its opposing ends which are pierced by vertical bores that pass through the base plate. The latch bolt is of substantially the same width as the base plate and slides over it. The bolt includes two openings spaced to receive the upstanding bosses on the base plate, each opening having a first lower region sized to slidably accommodate a boss and a second wider ovate upper region sized to slidably accommodate the head of a screw fastener. Two screw fasteners driven respectively through the vertical bores in the bosses on the ends of the base plate affix the latch to a window sash and secure the bolt to the base plate.
Abstract: A drainage system and method of draining extruded window sill frames is disclosed. The drainage system includes a drain cap which provides two separate drain paths for the sill. The drain cap is installed in a drainage orifice in the bottom edge of the outer sill face. The drain cap includes a ramp portion for directing water draining from the front of the sill through one of the drain paths, water from the rear of the sill being permitted to drain through the other drain path. The drain cap is installed using a method whereby a drainage path is formed through any longitudinal portions in the sill which are intermediate the drainage orifice in the bottom of the outer sill face and drain apertures in the sill surface. The drainage path is preferably formed using a horizontal drilling machine equipped with a drill bit having at least two drill diameters for piercing two concentric holes in a single pass. Alternatively, two or more bits are used for drilling two or more holes which are acentric but coextensive.
