  • Patent number: 8233681
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for hierarchical registration (102) between a blood vessel and tissue surface model (100) for a subject and a blood vessel and tissue surface image for the subject are disclosed. According to one method, hierarchical registration of a vascular model to a vascular image is provided. According to the method, a vascular model is mapped to a target image using a global rigid transformation to produce a global-rigid-transformed model. Piecewise rigid transformations are applied in a hierarchical manner to each vessel tree in the global-rigid-transformed model to perform a piecewise-rigid-transformed model. Piecewise deformable transformations are applied to branches in the vascular tree in the piecewise-transformed-model to produce a piecewise-deformable-transformed model.

  • Patent number: 8224928
Abstract: Disclosed is a communications network element that is capable of routing signaling messages and also performing inter-network management functions in a converged telephony-data network environment. A signaling gateway routing node is adapted to facilitate signaling communication between nodes in a signaling system 7 network and nodes in an Internet protocol (IP) type network. In addition to basic message routing functionality, the signaling gateway routing node is adapted to notify nodes in the IP network when a node in the SS7 network becomes congested or unavailable. In certain cases, the signaling gateway selectively notifies only IP nodes that are concerned with the status of the troubled SS7 node, while in other cases, notification messages are broadcast to all relevant IP nodes. The signaling gateway also serves to filter redundant congestion status queries or polling type messages that are conveyed from IP nodes through to the distressed SS7 node.

  • Patent number: 8220744
Abstract: Disclosed is a fitting for introducing great loads into a fuselage cell of an aircraft, in particular those which emanate from undercarriage components or are introduced into them. The fitting has a shoulder plate for bearing against the inside of the skin of the fuselage cell for example over its full surface area. Arranged underneath the shoulder plate is a vertical lug shackle with a lug for introducing the loads, wherein the lug shackle is led to the outside through a clearance in the skin of the fuselage cell. At least one approximately upright fastening shackle is provided on the upper side of the shoulder plate for connecting the fitting to a frame web. According to the invention, the loads occurring are introduced into the frame, substantially “moment-free” in the region of a neutral fiber, so that the said frame is not exposed to any appreciable flexural stresses and can be of a more lightweight design.
