Abstract: A method, amplifier and system are provided for enabling power recovery from a narrow-band antenna when a signal having bandwidth exceeding that of the antenna is utilized. The amplifier provides amplification of a source signal to the antenna and recovery of power stored in the antenna during periods when the impedance of the antenna is negative to enable reverse current through the amplifier to a direct current (DC) power source.
Abstract: Dry powder aerosol generators and related methods are provided. The dry powder aerosol generator includes a dispersion chamber having an internal cavity therein capable of receiving a dry powdered drug. The dispersion chamber includes a dosing port defined therein that is in fluid communication with the internal cavity. A dosing chamber for receiving a test subject is attachable to the dosing port, such that, when an airflow is created within the internal cavity, any dry powdered drug contained therein may fluidize and travel into the dosing chamber to provide opportunity for inhalation of the dry powdered drug by a test subject contained within the dosing chamber.

Abstract: A fire protection device for an aircraft or spacecraft is disclosed. The fire protection device can include a fireproof bulkhead and an adjusting device, the fireproof bulkhead can be adjusted from a ventilating position I into a screening position II. This may prevent a stream of smoke and heat from penetrating into the cabin when there is a fire underneath the fuselage.
Abstract: The present invention allows calls that are controlled by a multimedia subsystem (MS) to employ bearer paths that are supported in whole or in part by a circuit-switched subsystem (CS). As such, calls controlled by the MS can have a portion of the bearer path provided through the CS when needed or desired. To facilitate such control, a session control signaling path is established between a user element currently supported by the CS and a remote user agent (RUA), which represents the user element in the MS. While a portion of the bearer path for the call is supported by the CS, the session control signaling path extends the reach of the MS to the user element.
Abstract: The present invention relates to semi-allogeneic antigen-presenting cells into which proteins and/or peptides or RNA or DNA or cDNA, respectively, encoding said proteins and/or peptides which are overexpressed in tumor cells or which are derived from autologous tumor cells or different tumor cells or different tumor cell lines have been introduced. Furthermore the invention relates to methods for the generation of these semi-allogeneic antigen-presenting cells as well as to the use thereof in the treatment of tumor diseases.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a first media-content packet associated with a first session within a Session over Internet Protocol (SoIP) network. The first media-content packet is associated with a quality-of-service parameter. A transmission priority value associated with the first media-content packet is identified based on a value of the quality-of-service parameter. A priority indicator associated with the first media-content packet and/or a second media-content packet is modified based on the transmission priority value. The priority indicator indicates a priority to transmit the first media-content packet and/or the second media-content packet over a connection within the first session and/or a connection within a second session.

Abstract: A circulating tool for use in drilling a bore hole, the tool including a plurality of pistons which, by the activation of fluid pressure, move between a first configuration in which a side port of the tool is covered by a piston and a second configuration in which two adjacent pistons separate across the port to allow fluid to jet from the port. In the first configuration, the tool has a continuous cylindrical bore to allow the passage of other tools through the tool, while a flapper valve closes the bore in the second configuration to achieve maximum jetting of fluid from the tool. A third or intermediate configuration is also described so that the tool is operable to switch multiple times between the configurations via an indexing mechanism.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing an enriched messaging service in a communications network is described. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a messaging service message addressed to a first destination address. A subscriber identifier in the message is utilized to access subscriber information contained in at least one subscriber information database. The subscriber information facilitates intelligent processing or interpretation of the message. The accessed subscriber information is then incorporated in the message to create an enriched message. The enriched message is transmitted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing a call attempt triggered messaging service in a communications network comprises intercepting a call signaling message including a calling party subscriber identifier and a called party subscriber identifier. A call attempt triggered message generation (CATMG) database using the called party subscriber identifier is queried. In the event the called party subscriber identifier exists in the CATMG database, a messaging service message is generated. The messaging service message is then transmitted to a contact address.

Abstract: A solar concentrator comprises a curved linear Fresnel lens (16) which has a plurality of prismatic features (10, 12, 14). The prismatic features are arranged into at least two segments, in each segment the prismatic features have a common apex angle, the common apex angle differing between adjacent segments. A method of manufacturing a mold (2) for producing a Fresnel lens optical film (16) is disclosed. The method comprises rotating a mold blank, and forming a plurality of different prismatic features (10, 12, 14) on the mold blank by repeatedly advancing a cutting tool (4) onto and then withdrawing the tool away from the surface of the mold blank.
Abstract: A voice over Internet protocol communication system and method provides infrastructure components as intermediaries between networks, the components include multi-protocol session controllers and a multi-protocol signaling switch as well as a management system. The session controllers process calls and participate in the calls that flow through it. The session controllers process calls that are either at the edge of the network or at the core of the voice over Internet protocol network. The session controllers associate calls with one another in call peers for incoming calls as ingress call peers and for outgoing calls as egress call peers. A centralized database of call routing policies is provided to the session controllers. The session controllers provide cost management, topology hiding, and inter-working, or conversion, of calls from SIP networks to H.323 networks for both voice and video.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically allocating memory among a plurality of processes are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for dynamically allocating memory among multiple processes. The method includes at a memory broker for allocating memory in a computer system among a plurality of processes executing on the computer system and separate from the memory broker, monitoring amounts of stationary memory, discretionary memory, and unallocated memory in the computer system. The memory broker receives a request for allocating discretionary memory to one of the processes, and in response, determines, using an allocation policy, whether to allocate discretionary memory to the one process. In response to determining to allocate the discretionary memory to the one process, the memory broker allocates the discretionary memory to the one process.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for binary multiplexing x-ray radiography are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein can include irradiating an object with composite x-ray beams including signals based on a predetermined binary transform. Further, the subject matter described herein can include detecting x-ray intensities associated with the signals of the composite x-ray beams. An inverse binary transform can be applied to the detected x-ray intensities associated with the signals of the composite x-ray beams to recover the signals of the composite x-ray beams.
