Abstract: The invention relates to a device for detecting a flaw in a fibre-reinforced component, in particular delamination in a bearing region of a hole, by means of at least one probe, wherein an ultrasound field is emittable and detectable by means of the at least one probe. The ultrasound field is coupled according to the invention to the component at an angle of incidence ? of greater than 0° from a normal of an upper side of a component. The oblique radiation enables a higher degree of resolution to be achieved when detecting delamination in the bearing region of holes. Further variants of the device operate using at least one linear probe received in a self-positioning holder. The rotating linear probe is composed of a plurality of individual vibrator elements which are arranged at regular intervals behind one another.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for over the air provisioning of soft cards on devices with wireless communications capabilities are disclosed. According to one method, a soft card provisioning application is instantiated on a device with wireless communications capabilities. A card number for a soft card desired to be provisioned on the device is obtained from a user of the device. An issuer identification number retrieved from the card number is communicated to a provisioning configuration server over an air interface. A provisioning issuer server network address is obtained from the provisioning configuration server based on the issuer identification number. The provisioning information server is connected to, and card-issuer-specific challenge information is obtained therefrom. The challenges are presented to the user, and the user's responses to the challenges are received. A connection is made to the provisioning issuer server corresponding to the network address.

Abstract: Thin film encapsulation devices and methods for MEMS devices and packaging are provided. For a MEMS device encapsulated by a sacrificial layer, a lid layer can be deposited over the MEMS device without touching the MEMS device. The lid layer can be patterned and etched with a distribution of release etch holes, which provide access to the sacrificial layer encapsulating the MEMS device. The sacrificial material can be removed through the release etch holes, and the release etch holes can be filled with a seal layer. The seal layer can be removed from the substrate except where it seals the etch holes, leaving a series of plugs that can prevent other materials from entering the MEMS device cavity. In addition, a seal metal layer can be deposited and patterned so that it covers and encloses the plugged etch holes, and a barrier layer can cover the entire encapsulation structure.

The image data includes image data for a surface of interest and image data for a region occluding the surface of interest from a desired viewpoint. The viewpoint may be within or beyond the occluding region. A plurality of rays is cast from the viewpoint to the surface. Along each ray, an occlusion determination is made independent from a volume rendering transfer function definition to render voxels within the occluding region as transparent or partially transparent. The volume rendering transfer function is applied along a portion of each ray outside of the occluding region to render voxels defining surface of interest as visible. The voxels that define the surface are displayed as visible.
