  • Patent number: 6802508
Abstract: The game of craps is modified to allow a player to make an HARD WAY CRAPS bet instead of the standard ODDS bet. The HARD WAY CRAPS bet is available whenever a point number of 4, 6, 8, or 10 has been rolled and the player has a PASS line or COME line wager. If the point is 6 or 8, the HARD WAY CRAPS bet would pay two-to-one odds if the point is made with a 3,3 or 4,4 and would pay one-to-one odds if the point is made with any other roll. If the point is 4 or 10, the HARD WAY CRAPS bet would be pay four-to-one odds if the point is made with a 2,2 or 5,5 and would pay one-to-one odds if the point is made with any other roll. A corollary wager is offered for the DON'T PASS line or the DON'T COME line.

  • Patent number: 6802773
Abstract: A method for conducting a multiple hand video poker game incorporating a bad beat feature begins with a player making a wager to receive a first hand of cards. The player holds zero or more cards and the held cards are reproduced into additional poker hands. Replacement cards are dealt into each hand to form completed poker hands. The player is rewarded for each winning hand combination. Additionally, if the player's first hand prior to replacement matches one of a set of qualifying starting hands and none of the player's completed poker hands matches a final hand corresponding to the qualifying starting hand obtained, a bad beat award is issued to the player.

  • Patent number: 6729621
Abstract: Whenever the player achieves one of the predetermined types of starting hand combinations on the initial deal of a hand of video poker, then the player is provided with the opportunity to split his starting hand into two or more hands without having to make an additional wager. After the player has split his original starting hand, additional cards are dealt from the remaining cards to complete five cards hands. Each of the final five card hands are analyzed to determine the poker hand ranking. The player receives an award for each hand that has a winning poker hand ranking and the amount of the award is based on a pay table and the amount wagered by the player. Each of the final hands are considered as having the full amount wagered by the player.

  • Patent number: 6702669
Abstract: A game of chance is based on a keno-type game which uses one or more groups of number ranges, such as a HI group of number ranges, a LO group of number ranges and a HI/LO group of number ranges. A player makes a wager on one or more of the groups of number ranges. Each number range in a group has payout odds assigned thereto. After all wagers are made, a predetermined amount of numbers, say twenty, are randomly selected from the pool of numbers, say eighty. The numbers randomly selected are added up to determine a numerical total. The number range in which the numerical total falls is determined and the player is provided an award based on the payout odds for the number range within which the numerical total falls. The number range feature of the present invention may also be used in conjunction with a regular game of keno.

  • Patent number: 6672959
Abstract: A starting hand of five cards is dealt and the player then plays this hand with a first pay table. If the player's starting hand of cards has a poker hand ranking of any preselected combination of cards, such as a Pair of Jacks, a Pair of Queens, a Pair of Kings or a Pair of Aces, the player is given the option of exchanging his starting hand for one or more different new partial hands, such as Three to a Royal Flush or multiple hands of a Pair of Aces. If the player accepts the offer to make the exchange, the different partial hand is displayed and then additional cards are dealt to complete a five card hand. If the final five card hand is one of the predetermined winning poker hand combinations, the player receives an award.

  • Patent number: 6652377
Abstract: A card game in which the player makes a wager to play one or more poker hands which are displayed as pay lines in a display that looks like a multi-line slot reel machine. Three adjoining horizontal rows, each having five card locations, are displayed to the player. The reels are spun a first time and one row of playing cards, such as the center row and representing a first hand, are displayed to the player. The player selects none, one or more of the face up cards from the first hand as cards to be held. The cards that are held are reused from the first row into all of the other rows. The reels that do not have held cards are then respun so that additional cards are displayed into the first row and all other rows so that each row is a five card hand. The poker hand ranking of each five card hand along each pay line which is being played by the player is determined. The player is then paid for any winning poker hands based on a pay table and the amount of the player's wager.

  • Patent number: 6568680
Abstract: A card game is described in which a player makes a total wager prior to the initial starting hand being dealt. One hand of five cards is displayed to the player with all of the initial cards being dealt face up. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt into the hand and the poker hand ranking of the FIRST PLAY is determined. The initial deal of the starting cards is then re-used and becomes a SECOND PLAY. The player again selects none, one or more of the face up cards as cards to be held.
