  • Patent number: 5720662
Abstract: The operation of a slot machine is modified by the addition of the step of allowing a player to increase his wager after the reels have begun spinning, and more particularly after at least one reel has stopped spinning and is showing a symbol in the pay line position. In the preferred embodiment, a three reel slot machine is provided and the player may increase the amount of his wager after the first two reels have stopped spinning. With two of the three symbols showing on the pay line, the player may then make an additional wager so that his potential payout for a winning combination is increased. The third reel is then stopped showing all three symbols on the pay line and winning combinations are then paid out based on the amount of the player's wagers.

  • Patent number: 5651338
Abstract: The adjustable induction manifold system of the present invention comprises a manifold plate that bolts to the engine in the same manner and place as the factory or after-market manifold being used. The open plenum is connected to the manifold plate by tube runners and hose clamps, and in certain applications with brackets as well. Two carburetor base plates are provided, one for four-barrel carburetors and one for two barrel carburetors. Each carburetor base plate has up to two block off plates to be used depending on the number of carburetors used. Each carburetor base plate attaches to the top of the plenum using eight bolts. Each tube runner is made from a high strength material that is impervious to gasoline, alcohol and methanol such as nitrile tubing. The tube runner also has an internally bonded helical coil so that the tubing is rigid and non-collapsible. Thermostat housing and water plates also attach to the manifold and radiator with rubber hoses and clamps for the purpose of cooling the engine.

  • Patent number: 5635040
Abstract: An electrochemical cell for the treatment of water and/or water solutions comprises an internal electrode having a middle section and a pin-end at each end thereof, the diameter of each pin-end being not more than 0.75 of the diameter of the middle section; an external electrode mounted around the internal electrode; and a coaxial ceramic diaphragm mounted in a separate inter-electrode space in an electrode chamber of the cell. The external electrode is mounted in lower and upper dielectric bushings. Both the internal electrode and the external electrode are connected with positive and negative poles of a power supply. The cell further includes an upper dielectric collector head and a lower dielectric collector head which each have an axial channel; each collector head being installed in the bushing slots and adapted for turning therein. The diaphragm being fastened by elastic gaskets mounted in the slots of the bushings.

  • Patent number: 5635696
Abstract: A combined currency acceptor and magnetic card reader for receiving and validating currency and for receiving and reading a magnetic card comprises an acceptor main body including a mounting plate for attaching the combined currency acceptor and magnetic card reader to a gaming machine. The main body has a gate housing attached to the mounting plate and a currency gate is movable by a solenoid and mounted in the gate housing. A display housing is attached the gate housing and including a currency opening, a magnetic card opening and a light emitting diode display to display to the user of the operating condition of the device. A motor and belt drive assembly is provided for driving the currency into the main body and a solenoid in the currency gate is activated to close the magnetic card opening when currency is being inserted.

  • Patent number: 5632175
Abstract: A rebar fabricating machine is provided that is capable of processing either straight rod stock material or coil stock material. The rebar fabricating machine comprises a main cabinet, a horizontal power driven straightening module mounted adjacent to the upstream end of the main cabinet, a main drive module, a vertical straightening module, an encoder roll, a shear device and a bending head all mounted on the interior of the main cabinet. The main drive module includes a plurality of upper rolls each having a hydraulic cylinder attached thereto and a plurality of lower driven rolls driven by a single drive motor. The vertical straightening module includes a plurality of adjustable upper and lower straightening rolls. The horizontal straightening module is pivotally mounted on a base so that the horizontal straightening module can be selectively removed from the path of travel of the stock material.

  • Patent number: 5628888
Abstract: An apparatus for electrochemical purification of water and for regulation of acid-alkaline properties, Red-Ox characteristics and catalytic activity of water that can be used for obtaining washing and disinfecting solutions. The apparatus includes at least one electrochemical cell which contain vertical coaxial cylindrical and rod electrodes made from material nonsoluble during electrolysis and an ultrafiltration ceramic diaphragm installed in the bushings between the electrodes to create inter-electrode space in the electrode chambers. The lower and upper bushings have a channels for the treated solution supply into and discharge from the electrode chambers. The channels are connected to the feeding and discharging adjustment lines. There is also a metering pump on the water line for sodium chloride dosing into the water to be treated. The water line contains a flow regulator connected to the feeding and discharging adjustment lines. Poles of the power supply are connected to the electrodes.
