    Abstract: A shooting bow is employed for shooting in sporting events and for shooting game. The shooting bow includes a main part, arms, convex in the direction of shooting, and pulleys, fastened to free tips of the arms. A bowstring passes via the pulleys, and a frame mounts the main part and a trigger mechanism. On the frame there are fastened a guide of a carriage, made up with a track, a groove for the bowstring and cutouts. The number of cutouts corresponds to the number of fletchings of an arrow. The arms are made so that the total impulse of the "arms-pulleys" and "arrow-carriage" systems, at each instant of arms straightening, approaches zero.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal cell comprising a matrix of pixels defined by areas of overlap between members of first and second sets of orthogonal electrodes has its pixels selectively set to first and second states by addressing the pixels in rows. The pixels a given row are first set no a first state by applying an erase signal (12) to the corresponding row conductor simultaneously with applying bipolar data signals (8, 9) to all the column conductors. Selected pixels of the row are subsequently set to a second state by applying a strobe signal (10) to the row conductor simultaneously with applying a bipolar data signal(9) to the relevant column conductors, another bipolar data signal (8) being applied to the column conductors corresponding to non-selected pixels. The viscosity-increasing agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of nitrocellulose H7, nitrocellulose H20, nitrocellulose H60. nitrocellulose H80 and nitrocellulose H120, each of which is according to Japanese Industrial Standard K 6703. The solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of ethylcarbitol and butylcarbitol. The ink composition has a viscosity within a range from 200 to 300 poises. The thus prepared ink composition is prolonged in pot life.

    Abstract: An optical recording medium has a track format with a track pitch smaller than a diffraction limit of a light spot so as to realize an increased capacity and a higher density. A guide groove for tracking purposes is formed along each of the concentrically or spirally formed tracks in a periodic intermittent pattern with respect to a circumferential direction of the optical recording medium. The intermittent patterns of the guide grooves adjoining each other with respect to a radial direction of the optical recording medium are displaced in phase from each other. A light spot of a diameter greater than the track width is projected onto the optical recording medium in rotation and the position of the light spot is servo-controlled in the track width direction in such a manner that a light quantity distribution with respect to the track width direction of a reflected or transmitted light of the light spot diffracted by the selected guide groove maintains its symmetry in the track width direction.
