  • Patent number: 7543554
Abstract: In order to provide a two-stroke motor, in particular for a portable, hand-guided working device with a combustion space formed in a cylinder and a piston guided in the cylinder so that it performs a lifting movement, at least one transfer port is provided which is formed at least from a combustion-space-side opening section, a rising section and a crankcase-space-side inlet section. The opening section is connected to the inlet section by the rising section arranged approximately parallel to the piston barrel. The motor has a small flow resistance because of its geometric design, despite maintaining small opening windows into the combustion space, and allows simple casting production. The transfer port forms in the inlet section a whole port which passes in a single-flow manner into the rising section and is divided by a division at least into a first partial port and a second partial port at least in the upper region of the rising section adjoining the opening section.

  • Patent number: 7535693
Abstract: An EMI filter capacitor assembly utilizes biocompatible and non-migratable materials to adapt electronic components for direct body fluid exposure. The assembly includes a capacitor having first and second sets of electrode plates which are constructed of non-migratable biocompatible material A conductive hermetic terminal of non-migratable and biocompatible material adjacent to the capacitor is conductively coupled to the second set of electrode plates. One or more conductive terminal pins having at least an outer surface of non-migratable and biocompatible material are conductively coupled to the first set of electrode plates, while extending through the hermetic terminal in non-conductive relation. The terminal pins may be in direct contact with the first set of electrode plates, or in contact with a termination surface of conductive connection material. The termination surface is also constructed of non-migratable and biocompatible materials.

  • Patent number: 7524190
Abstract: A decorative wire is formed by providing a length of thin, bendable wire that serves as the foundation of the decorative wire. A fabric having a straight grain is selected and the fabric is cut biased to the straight grain. The fabric is spiral wound along the length of the bendable wire. The fabric adheres to the wire as the fabric is wrapped around the bendable wire. One example of a decorative wire formed by the above process includes a length of thin, bendable wire where a plurality of elongated strips of fabric are spiral wound along the length of the bendable wire and adhesively connected thereto. Each strip of fabric includes an abraded edge formed while the strip is wrapped around the bendable wire.

  • Patent number: 7520060
Abstract: The invention pertains to a trimming device with a motor-driven cutting tool that is rotatable about a shaft and with a shell-like reel protector (100), wherein said trimming device can be operated with different cutting tools. In order to achieve a simple adaptation of the reel protector to the respective tool used, the invention proposes that the reel protector (100) includes a first shell (10) that is rigidly connected to the trimming device and a second shell (11) that can be displaced relative to the first shell (10) in the direction (A) of the shaft of the cutting tool.

  • Patent number: 7517154
Abstract: An improved bearing system is provided for use in high speed rotating machinery such as a turbocharger, wherein a turbocharger shaft is rotatably supported at opposite ends by a pair of angular contact bearings subjected to a predetermined and substantially constant thrust pre-load. The angular contact bearings are carried respectively within a pair of generally cylindrical bearing sleeves which cooperatively define an axially split bearing carrier mounted within a turbocharger housing. A spring reacts between these bearing sleeves for applying a substantially constant axial thrust pre-load transmitted by the bearing sleeves to the angular contact bearings. The mechanical spring thrust pre-load may be supplemented or substituted by an hydraulic axial thrust load attributable to oil circulated through the split bearing carrier.

  • Patent number: 7501922
Abstract: A permanent magnetic male and female levitation support has a first part with a cavity and a plurality of retainment mechanisms incorporated therein, and a plurality of first permanent magnets evenly distributed around the perimeter of the cavity and held in place by the retainment mechanisms, wherein the first permanent magnets produce a first rotationally invariant magnetic field around a first axis. A second part is rigidly connected to a base and produces a second rotationally invariant magnetic field around a second axis. When the first axis is aligned with the second axis, the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field simultaneously produce a repulsive force and a restorative force to levitate the first part relative to the second part.
