  • Patent number: 7699481
Abstract: This invention is directed toward a method for wiring lighting systems, primarily low voltage, landscape lighting systems. The inventive method operates to equalize voltage drop across such lighting systems. The inventive method involves running a home run wire from a power source or transformer to a wiring hub. Two or more light fixtures having equal length wire leads are connected to the home run wire in the wiring hub. Each of the light fixtures are then arranged in the landscape lighting system around the wiring hub. Uniform voltage drop is achieved through the creation of equal distances between multiple light fixtures and a common power source. The common home run wire and equal length wire leads results is an equal distance from a common power source to each light fixture in the configuration.

  • Patent number: 7702387
Abstract: A tank filter is provided for a lead wire of an active medical device (AMD). The tank filter includes a capacitor in parallel with an inductor. The parallel capacitor and inductor are placed in series with the lead wire of the AMD, wherein values of capacitance and inductance are selected such that the tank filter is resonant at a selected frequency. A passageway through the tank filter permits selective slidable passage of a guide wire therethrough for locating the lead wire in an implantable position. The Q of the inductor may be relatively maximized and the Q of the capacitor may be relatively minimized to reduce the overall Q of the tank filter to attenuate current flow through the lead wire along a range of selected frequencies. In a preferred form, the tank filter is integrated into a TIP and/or RING electrode for an active implantable medical device.

  • Patent number: 7690126
Abstract: A measuring tool for use particularly in carpentry combines the features of a square, a level and a bevel tool into a single device. The measuring tool includes a handle which supports a slide rule at one end and a pitch slide which can be adjustably positioned within the handle through the advancement and retraction of a thumb bolt into the handle. The thumb bolt may be advanced by either turning the thumb bolt and/or advancing the thumb bolt against a spring biased ratcheting mechanism. The thumb bolt may be retracted either by turning and/or by disengagement of the spring biased ratcheting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7691164
Abstract: A suction device for a cyclone filter of a hand-guided work apparatus includes a blower which is located in a housing and a starting unit with a cable drum which is rotatably mounted about an axis, wherein ambient air sucked in with dirt particles is divided by the cyclone filter into a first air stream which is largely freed from dirt particles and into a second air stream loaded with dirt particles. The housing has an inlet and an outlet for the second air stream, which has a simple configuration and a good suction performance for air laden with dirt particles. The blower is mounted rotatably about an axis which is arranged coaxially to the cable drum axis and the housing is designed with a channel which is connected to the inlet and opens in the region of the cable drum axis.

  • Patent number: 7690523
Abstract: A food storage and retrieval system includes a food storage container and a basket disposed within the container. The basket includes a base and a plurality of wings disposed about a periphery of the base. The wings are pivotally attached to the base and biased to engage an inner surface of the container. An elongated handle is slidable through the base. The handle includes a flange at a lower end thereof for engaging a facing surface of the base to lift the basket within the container, and a key selectively engageable with the base to push the basket downwardly within the container.

  • Patent number: 7690277
Abstract: A device for starting an internal combustion engine for hand-held tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers and the like, includes a rotatable pulling medium roller which can be brought into functional connection with the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine in order to bring about a rotation of the crankshaft. The starting device has a simply configured functional connection between the crankshaft and the pulling medium roller and effectively reduces the force peaks reaching the pulling medium roller. To accomplish this, a deformation body having elastic deformation behaviour is arranged in the functional connection between the pulling medium roller and the crankshaft. The deformation body compensates for leading or lagging of the crankshaft with respect to the pulling medium roller.

  • Patent number: 7689288
Abstract: Decoupling circuits are provided which transfer energy induced from an MRI pulsed RF field to an energy dissipating surface. This is accomplished through broadband filtering or by resonant filtering. In a passive component network for an implantable leadwire of an active implantable medical device, a frequency selective energy diversion circuit is provided for diverting high-frequency energy away from a leadwire electrode to a point or an area spaced from the electrode, for dissipation of high-frequency energy.

  • Patent number: 7689285
Abstract: In order to make available a wound dressing (100) with at least one energy transfer agent (11, 12) and a wound dressing (13), namely a combination of wound dressing and electrode for the stimulation treatment, with which an uniform electrostimulation of the wound can be achieved so that the wound healing process is considerably improved, it is proposed that the energy transfer agent has at least two layers and that the energy transfer agent (11, 12) has at least two adjacent layers (11, 12), a first layer (11)—energy supply—and a second energy—distribution of energy—(12), whereby the first layer (11) has a lower electric resistance and the second layer (12) a higher electric resistance.

  • Patent number: 7681898
Abstract: A composite suspension system for a vehicle includes a mechanical suspension system supporting the body of the vehicle with respect to an axle and a pneumatic suspension system to selectively provide support for the body relative to the axle. Under heavy loads, the pneumatic suspension system may be inflated to support the body relative to the axle. When not under heavy loads the pneumatic suspension system may be deflated so as not to interfere with the support provided by the mechanical suspension system. A control system regulates a compressor connected to the pneumatic suspension system to inflate the same. The control system also regulates access of the pneumatic suspension system to a vacuum source to deflate the same.

  • Patent number: 7676915
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an LED lamp assembly includes anodizing at least a portion of a surface of an electrically and thermally conductive base, such as an aluminum or aluminum alloy base, so as to form an electrically insulating coating. The base may form a heat sink or be coupled to a heat sink. Circuit traces are formed on the anodized surface of the base, which include LED landings. LEDs are electrically and mechanically attached to the LED landing by a conductive metallic solder such that heat generated from the LED is transferred efficiently through the solder and circuit traces LED landings to the base and heat sink through a metal-to-metal contact pathway.
