Abstract: An exercise garment is formed of a pair of shorts and an accompanying vest which are worn by an exerciser to enhance strength, conditioning, power, endurance and agility. The shorts include a pelvic portion with a pair of leg sections depending therefrom. Each leg section terminates at a leg opening having a circumferential zipper strand adjacent thereto. Immediately above the zipper strand are a plurality of juxtaposed, segregated pockets for receiving a weighted bar. A leg extension having multiple weight pockets includes a peripheral zipper strand at an upper end for mating engagement with the zipper strand of either leg section allowing the effective length thereof to be increased. The accompanying vest is formed of a torso portion with a pair of separable sleeves extending therefrom. A plurality of weight pockets are positioned on the front and rear of the torso portion and each sleeve. A torso extension having multiple weight pockets is removably attachable to the lower edge of the torso portion.

Abstract: A motorized fertilizer dispenser includes a frustoconical housing having an open upper end in communication with a hollow interior. At a lower end is a dispersal opening. A rotatable sifting blade is positioned within the housing interior and adjacent the dispersal opening. A rotary disc having a plurality of radial blades positioned thereon is situated immediately beneath the dispersal opening. A motor operates both the sifting blade and dispersal disc whereby a desired amount of fertilizer is dropped onto the disc and projected outwardly to a target area.

Abstract: A hood ornament includes a circular base plate having a bolt extending from the lower surface that is inserted through a hole formed in the vehicle hood; a locking nut is attached to the bolt to tightly anchor the base plate to the hood. An ornament member includes a sight mounted on a foundation having a key latch depending therefrom that releasably seats within a keyed receptacle formed in the base plate. The foundation includes an oblique lower surface to assure that the sight extends at a discrete angle relative to the base plate when the ornament is secured thereto. Accordingly, if the base plate is mounted on a downwardly-sloped surface, the sight will be substantially vertical.

Abstract: A combination privacy enclosure and beach towel includes a hollow sleeve formed of a front panel and a rear panel each having two opposing side edges that are joined to the corresponding side edges of the other panel. The top end of the sleeve includes a small neck opening for receiving a wearer's head while the bottom end of the sleeve is completely open. The sleeve is flattened to form a dual-layer beach towel. To form a privacy enclosure for changing clothing, a user inserts his or her head through the neck opening and drapes the sleeve over the user's body. To convert the device to a tote bag, each end of the sleeve is bundled and an accompanying shoulder strap is secured thereto.

Abstract: A travel pillow includes a U-shaped cushion formed of a pair of spaced side panels, each having a front end, a rear end, a lower surface and an upper surface. The lower surface of each side panel has an upwardly-inclined front portion that extends to a concave, downwardly-facing shoulder indention, proximal the rear end. Interconnecting the front ends of the side panels is a substantially-tubular cross member having a contoured upper surface that nudges the head rearwardly toward a seat backrest when engaged by a falling chin. On the rear end of each side panel is a fastener for engaging a mating fastener positioned on a passenger seat backrest.

Abstract: An exercise cycle includes a base frame having front and rear wheels and a seat slidably mounted thereon. A pair of pivotal foot pedals operate a steering mechanism to turn the front wheels toward the left or right. Between the foot pedals is a vertical support bar having a drive pawl at an upper end with a cable spirally wrapped thereabout. A handle affixed to the distal end of the cable is accessible by a rider resting in the seat. A drive chain encompasses a gear on a side of the pawl and a similar gear on the rear wheel axle. Accordingly, a rider sits on the seat, grasps the handle and places the feet on the foot pedals. By pushing with the legs and simultaneously pulling the cable, the rider propels the cycle while simulating the workout typically provided by a rowing machine.

Abstract: A novelty ceiling fixture includes a housing mounted within a ceiling having a hub depending therefrom. The hub is formed of two independently rotating segments each having an angled, truncated end adjoining the other. Attached to the lower segment is a fixture configured to resemble a skateboard mounted on wheels. Each wheel includes a translucent or transparent outer surface superimposed on a plurality of peripherally-disposed LED'S. A remote unit controls the operation of the LEDs and hub segments so that the fixture simulates the movement of a conventional skateboard.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for more accurately fastening a raised heel to a shoe outsole includes a shoe support column having an impact head at an upper end thereof. The impact head is contoured to substantially conform to the inner heel portion of the shoe upper. The impact head includes a plurality of bores each having a piston-operated driver therein that propels a nail upwardly through the shoe insole and into the raised heel. Proximal the bore outlets is an alignment button that is inserted into a channel formed through the shoe insole and outsole. An alignment pin is positioned within both an alignment aperture formed on the shoe heel and a centrally disposed cavity on the button. When the alignment aperture, button and channel are axially aligned, the raised heel is properly positioned on the shoe outsole ensuring accurate penetration of the nails.

Abstract: A tool for assisting a worker in removing a windshield includes a cylindrical housing having an L-shaped blade depending from a lower end thereof. The housing includes a butane-fueled heating assembly that heats the blade to a predetermined temperature so that the blade easily penetrates the adhesive surrounding a vehicle windshield. A handle is tethered to the housing with a cable that allows a worker to easily lift the windshield once the adhesive has been completely separated.

Abstract: A temperature adjustable chair includes a seat portion with a backrest portion vertically extending therefrom. The seat portion is superimposed on a plurality of support legs that suspend the chair above an underlying surface. Adjacent each of two sides of the seat portion is an armrest. Imbedded within both the backrest portion and the seat portion is a thermoelectric cooler for selectively generating or removing heat. The cooler is regulated with a control panel positioned on one of the armrests.

Abstract: A pet scoop includes an elongated tubular shaft having a handle at an upper end and a pivotal, fan-shaped panel at a lower end. A pair of motors move the panel between a raised, contracted orientation and a lowered, expanded orientation. A stack of waste disposal sheets is superimposed on the panel and is secured thereto with removable clamps. Accordingly, the panel may be deployed and expanded beneath a defecating pet to contain and trap the waste for later disposal.

Abstract: An office chair includes a base structure having a pan mounted thereon. A motor driven scissor lift is positioned on the pan that expands and contracts to raise and lower a chair member. A pair of buttons control the motor allowing a user to automatically raise and lower the chair member to a desired height.

Abstract: An interface module for interlinking a plurality of audio visual devices with a single video monitor includes a housing having an upper end with a plurality of sets of input jacks thereon, each set for coupling with a discrete audio visual device. An output cable extends from an opposing end of the housing that is connected to an input block on a video monitor. A switching mechanism establishes selective communication between the output cable and a select set of input jacks allowing a user to easily switch between multiple audiovisual devices without disconnecting or rerouting cables.

Abstract: An illuminated scooter includes a platform having a pivotal, length-adjustable handlebar at a front end and a wheel at a back end. Mounted on the upper surface of the platform adjacent the wheel is a generator including a drive shaft with a roller at a distal end thereof. The generator is biased rearwardly whereby a rider can selectively move the roller into engagement with the scooter rear wheel. When the roller is moved into engagement with the rear wheel, the generator powers a plurality of LED's that are fastened to each of two side edges of the platform. An associated microprocessor selectively activates certain segments of the LED's according to the scooter speed.

Abstract: A uniquely designed truck bed cover for securing cargo in a truck bed includes a lower section having a bottom wall with a pair of upstanding sidewalls extending therefrom. Formed on the bottom wall is an elongated groove configured to slidably receive a beam mounted on the bottom surface of the truck bed. On the exterior surface of each sidewall is a ball bearing. The device also includes an upper section having a top wall with a pair of sidewalls depending therefrom. Each sidewall includes an L-shaped channel formed on the interior surface thereof that receives one of the ball bearings on the lower section to cooperatively join the two sections.

Abstract: A floating fish snaring device includes a housing formed of a buoyant, but lightweight material. Coaxially received within the housing and extending a predetermined distance from the lower end thereof is an elongated hollow tube. Longitudinally received within the tube is an elongated fish snaring member including a float at a lower end and a cap member at an upper end. Upper and lower annular stop members are fixedly positioned within the tube. A fishing line with an attached hook is secured to an eyelet on the float. When a fish strikes the bait and drags the fish snaring member downwardly, the cap member engages the upper stop member resulting in significant recoil of the fishing line thereby firmly setting the hook in the fish's mouth.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a backrest, designed particularly for a BMW™ motorcycle, including a mounting bracket configured to conform to and fit between the rear edge of the driver's seat and the front edge of a passenger seat. The mounting bracket includes two ends each having a flange thereon that is secured to the motorcycle chassis with fasteners that typically fasten the passenger seat thereto. A height adjustable, hinged brace member connects a padded backrest to the mounting bracket.

Abstract: A back scrubber includes a substantially U-shaped bracket including an elongated vertical base plate with an upper arm and a lower arm perpendicularly extending therefrom. Removably positioned between the upper and lower arms is a tubular brush member that is automatically rotated with an internal electric motor. A bather can cleanse his her or back by activating the motor and placing the back against the brush member.

Abstract: A combination water and coffee dispenser includes a hollow housing having an interior chamber. A water supply line extends from a domestic water source into the interior chamber for supplying fresh water to a cold water storage tank, a hot water storage tank and possibly to a raw water dispensing nozzle on the exterior of the housing. A liquid coffee concentrate storage container is received within the interior chamber and is in liquid communication with a pump. A discharge tube extends from the pump to a mixing chamber. Hot water is routed from the hot water storage tank to the mixing chamber wherein the hot water is mixed with liquid coffee concentrate to produce coffee having a predetermined concentration. The pump speed and thus the concentration of coffee produced in the mixing chamber is controlled by a potentiometer. The device is also equipped with a chilled compartment for storing refrigerated liquid coffee concentrate formulations.

Abstract: An electric cooking apparatus for easily converting a pot to a deep fryer or boiler includes a housing having an elongated heating element attached thereto. The heating element includes an upper portion with a cover mounted thereon. An adjustable bracket secures the device to the upper rim of the pot. A safety switch enables the heating element only when the device is properly mounted. The position of the heating element may be adjusted so that the device can be easily used with various sized pots.
