Abstract: A deer hoist for an all terrain vehicle includes a transverse mounting bar adapted to be attached to a trailer hitch drawbar on the vehicle. A beam vertically extends from the mounting bar and has a horizontal arm extending therefrom. A brake wench mounted on the vertical beam operates a cable along a plurality of pulleys disposed on the horizontal arm. A gambrel is secured to a distal end of the cable for suspending a deer. A width and height adjustable outrigger assembly is attached to the transverse mounting bar to prevent the all terrain vehicle from toppling when a load is placed on the hoist. The outrigger assembly can be conveniently disassembled and stored on the hoist when not in use. The hoist also includes an accessory rack and light for remote use.

Abstract: A jewelry item having a rotatable gemstone includes a substantially hollow housing having a bezel and gemstone rotatably mounted on the upper end thereof. Received within the housing is a quartz movement type motor that operates a plurality of interrelated, contiguous gears to rotate the bezel. The gear ratios are such that the bezel will rotate at a predetermined, deliberate speed to achieve a desired aesthetic affect. A switch having a battery mounted thereon is hingedly attached to a side edge of the housing for activating the motor.

Abstract: An auxiliary shelving system for increasing the capacity and safety associated with conventional storage shelves includes a horizontal top wall having a pair of sidewalls depending therefrom. Each sidewall terminates at a lower edge having an inwardly extending lip. Each lip includes a plurality of pegs that can be inserted into apertures on store shelving or on the top wall of another shelf allowing the devices to be securely stacked. The configuration of the auxiliary shelf enclosures can be varied to include front, rear or lower walls.

Abstract: A glitter vacuum for reclaiming otherwise wasted glitter particles includes a hollow housing having a motorized vacuum impeller therein. A vacuum nozzle is secured to an air intake port on a first end of the housing. A removable glitter receiving jar is secured to a glitter discharge opening on a lower surface of the housing. An angularly positioned deflector plate within the housing interior directs glitter from the vacuum nozzle into the glitter jar. The deflector plate is impermeable but for a plurality of peripherally disposed apertures that allow the passage of air while deflecting glitter and similar larger particles. A pair of filters are positioned between the deflector plate and impeller for trapping particulates that may inadvertently circumvent the plate.

Abstract: An exercise machine with a bench press and a pair of weight stacks, which are operationally connected to a lifting bar of a barbell. Pushing motion on the lifting bar transmits the force to a series of wheels connected by flexible bands and to a pair of weight stacks positioned behind the bench press. The weight members of the weight stack are connected by pins, such that upward movement of the uppermost weight members causes pulling force to be applied to successive lower weight members one at a time, thereby allowing incremental increase in the resistance force to the lifting motion of the user.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for consolidating concrete test samples include a tubular tamping rod with a reference disc slidably mounted thereon. When performing a quality control test, a worker pours a concrete specimen into a test container. The tamping rod is positioned adjacent to the container with its lower end at a maximum acceptable submersion depth relative to the specimen. The reference disc is then positioned to engage the upper edge of the container when the lower end of the rod is at the maximum acceptable submersion depth. When the worker reciprocates the tamping rod within the specimen, engagement of the reference disc with the upper edge of the container indicates that the lower end of the rod has reached the maximum acceptable submersion depth.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder for mounting within a pickup truck bed includes a housing having a top surface with a pair of side walls depending therefrom. Also depending from the top surface are a vertical front wall and an oblique, inwardly extending rear wall. Received within the housing and accessible from the top surface thereof are a plurality of obliquely extending tubular rod holders. A mounting lip is positioned adjacent a front edge of the top surface for fastening the housing to a truck bed wall or toolbox.

Abstract: An air evacuation attachment for a fire hose includes an elongated conduit having an inlet and an opposing outlet. At the inlet is a Storz adaptor for coupling the conduit with a fire hose having a predetermined diameter. Storage tubes are provided along the length of the conduit each having a varying size Storz adaptor mounted thereon for interchangeably securing to the inlet to adapt the conduit to varying size fire hoses. The outlet includes internally disposed O-rings for tightly encompassing a vacuum hose. Accordingly, a fire hose can be conveniently connected to a vacuum source to remove excess air therefrom prior to storage.

A header is mounted on upper ends of the intermediate sections and a fastening strap is secured about the assembly to unitarily secure it to the tailgate.

Abstract: A denture remover includes an elongated, hollow shaft having a lower end and an upper end with an angled portion at the upper end. A suction cup is attached to a distal end of the angled portion. A vacuum release tube extends from the suction cup to an air port within the shaft interior having a spring-biased valve normally positioned therein. A handle is slidably mounted on the shaft and is fastened to the valve. A denture is removed by fastening the suction cup thereto in a conventional fashion. A user simply grasps the handle and pulls the attached denture from the wearer's mouth. To release the denture, a user slides the handle to remove the valve from the port allowing air flow to the suction cup aperture thereby eliminating the vacuum created by the suction cup.

Abstract: An illuminable, interchangeable water-resistant tip for a walking cane includes a housing that is adapted to be attached to a lower end of a walking cane. The housing includes a shroud at an upper end that is superimposed on a plurality of peripherally positioned LED's. Abstract: A tire jack for lifting a spare tire onto a vehicle wheel includes a base component with a lifting pan superimposed thereon. A rotatable drive shaft raises and lowers a lifting arm, which in turn raises and lowers the lifting pan relative to the base component. On an upper surface of the lifting pan are a plurality of juxtaposed rollers arranged in a concave configuration so as to readily conform to a vehicle tire. Accordingly, a user places a spare tire on the concave roller assembly and raises the lifting arm to conveniently elevate the spare tire onto the wheel.

Abstract: A securable game ball storage bag includes a bag member having a hollow interior for reception of a game ball and various accessory items such as a wallet and keys. The interior is accessible with a zipper having a pull tab with a latch adjacent thereto. A shoulder strap includes a first end permanently secured to the bag exterior and a free second end. The free end includes a buckle insert that is secured within an appropriate slot on a lock housing by a spring-biased, solenoid driven pin. The zipper tab and latch member are likewise secured within receptacles on the lock housing. The pins are moved out of locking engagement with the buckle insert by entering a predetermined code into a keypad; the pins are released from the zipper tab and latch by speaking a predetermined verbal command into a microphone.

Abstract: A technician's tool for installing and repairing fiber optic cables includes a tubular housing having an open, substantially bell-shaped head portion at an upper end. Positioned within the housing, proximal the bell-shaped head portion, is a light source with a lens superimposed thereon. The lens is divided into a plurality of adjacent sectors whereby every other sector is transparent while each sector therebetween is discretely colored. Rotatably mounted over the lens is a receiver plate with a plurality of hollow receiver posts extending therefrom; each receiver post is adapted to connect to a fiber optic cable connector. By rotating the receiver plate, the technician can either project white light beams or discretely colored light beams through the receiver posts, depending upon the application.

Toothpaste is automatically dispensed to the brush head by reciprocating the button.
