Abstract: A bed frame or other structural construction having a locking mechanism to allow two structural members to be affixed and locked together. A first structural member sits atop of the second structural member and has a pair of posts that interfit into a pair of holes formed in the second structural member. The locking mechanism is located at an end of the first structural member and includes a slide that is movable along the longitudinal axis of the first structural member to slide between a retracted, unlocked position and an extended, locked position where the slide contacts the lower surface of the second structural member to sandwich the second structural member between the first structural member and the slide to block the structural members from moving with respect to each to withdraw the posts from the holes, thereby locking the first and second structural members together.
Abstract: The present invention provides fragments of SNT and FGFR which can form a binding complex that is amenable to structural determinations by NMR spectroscopy. The three-dimensional structural data is also included as part of the invention. In addition, the present invention provides methodology for related structure based rational drug design using the three-dimensional data. Nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the fragments are also provided.
Abstract: The inventive wringer for scrubbing buckets basically consists of two independent tilting parts of a wringer (4) which are pivotally coupled inside the space of a support (1) fixed to the bucket mouthpiece. Said independent parts (4) are pivotally coupled with parallel axes communicating with the end spaces (3) of the support (1) and are tiltable oppositely to the resistance of spring elements (5).
Abstract: This invention is especially intended for playing Ring Tones (referred to hereinbelow as “RT's”) on a called computer terminal, and/or Ring Back Tones (referred to hereinbelow as “RBT's”) on the calling computer terminal, in voice communications selected from users of different computer terminals, mainly personal computers (referred to hereinbelow as “PC's”) by means of a network which is at least partially a data network capable of supporting voice, such as the Internet. RT's and/or RBT's are played by means of a continuous download of said tones (referred to hereinbelow as “streaming”) given that neither RT nor RBT are present at any time on any of the PC's, but rather are downloaded from a remote server where RT's and/or RBT's are located. In general, the user of the called PC will be the one determining what RT and/or RBT will be played in terms of the different optional factors such as which calling PC is involved.
Abstract: A caster and leg assembly for supporting a piece of furniture on a floor. The assembly includes a caster affixed within a recessed area formed in the bottom of a wooden or plastic furniture leg to create a strong support for the furniture as well as create a good appearance. The caster has at least one spherical roller supported within the housing to allow the furniture to be readily movable omnidirectionally. With one spherical roller, the weight of the furniture acts at the center of the spherical roller. In one embodiment, there are three spherical rollers located equidistant from the vertical center line of the assembly to support the furniture weight equally by the spherical rollers. A glide can be readily attached and detached from the bottom of the caster and, when attached, the glide cup covers the spherical rollers and presents a flat, planar bottom surface.

Abstract: A substantially white powder for use as a filler and/or extender derived from by-products of manufacturing vitreous low alkali, low iron glass fibers, and a method for producing the powder. The filler has very low alkalinity and by virtue of its being essentially free of crystalline silica is non-hazardous to health and therefore safe for consumer-based and industrial-based uses.

Abstract: The water to treat is received in a chamber (1) with a rapid mixer and from there it passes to a second chamber for coagulation (3) and from that to a third chamber for flocculation (4) where it is mixed with certain coagulating reagents. It then enters a separator (7) provided with some filtering membranes (5) where it is clarified. In the separator (7) there are some air nozzles (6) which sweep the surface of the said filtering membranes (5), some inlet nozzles (8) for floccules coming from the coagulation-flocculation and other air outlet nozzles (6) for distribution of said floccules underneath the membrane (5).
Abstract: A process of producing 99% plus titanium dioxide product by using conventional and microwave heating and leaching of the titanium compound feedstock using acid and oxidants. The solid residue from the leaching is used to produce the high quality titanium oxide by froth flotation. Hydrochloric acid can be recovered by multi-stage evaporation. The process can be modified to produce nano-size titanium dioxide product.
Abstract: An auxiliary power unit intake duct for an aircraft, comprising an internal straight portion 1a, an internal first bend portion 1b and an internal second bend portion 1c, extending between an air inlet 2 and a plenum entry 3 of the auxiliary power unit, a plurality of acoustic guides vanes 4,5 located in the straight portion 1a of the intake duct 1, extending horizontally between opposite side portions of the straight portion 1a; and a plurality of curved aerodynamic guide vanes 6,7 located in the second bend portion 1c proximate to said plenum inlet 3, extending vertically between a top portion and a bottom portion of the second bend portion 1c, each of the curved aerodynamic guide vanes 6,7 being concentric with said bend curvature of the second bend portion 1c.

Abstract: The invention is directed to modified guanine-containing nucleosides and nucleotides and uses thereof. More specifically, the invention relates to modified fluorescently labelled guanine-containing nucleosides and nucleotides which exhibit enhanced fluorophore intensity by virtue of reduced quenching effects.
Abstract: The present invention provides the structural determination of a bromodomain determined by NMR spectroscopy. The present invention also provides binding partners for the bromodomain. The present invention further provides the structural determination of the Tat-P/CAF binding complex determined by NMR spectroscopy. In addition, the present invention provides methodology for related drug discovery using high throughput drug screening or structure based rational drug design using the three-dimensional data.

Abstract: Critical current densities of internal tin wire having values of at least 2000 A/mm2 at temperature of 4.2 K and in magnetic field of 12 T are achieved by controlling the following parameters in a distributed barrier subelement design: wt % Sn in bronze; atomic Nb:Sn; local area ratio; reactable barrier; and barrier thickness relative to the filament thickness; and the design for restacking and wire reduction to control the maximum filament diameter at the subsequent heat reaction stage.
