  • Patent number: 4964425
Abstract: A structure of ashtray, capable of self-cleaning and automatic fire-extinguishing, comprising a housing with an opening extending through the upper, the lower, the left and the right side, and with a cylindrically shaped body disposed in the center of the housing with a dust collecting drum mounted inside said cylindrically shaped body. The dust collecting drum has a plurality of collecting chambers and can be turned to revolve by means of a rotatable shaft so that any cigarette butt or garbage that is thrown inside can slide into a container attached beneath the housing and closely covered by said dust collecting drum during the time while the dust collecting drum is turned so that any burning cigarette butt that slides into the container will be promptly and automatically extinguished due to lack of air.

  • Patent number: 4961368
Abstract: An anchoring element for the securing of heavy plates or the like on an anchoring base, particularly for securing armoring elements or additional armoring to vehicles, includes a plate-shaped buffer body of a material that is elastically deformable to a limited extent, such as of rubber or a similar material, and two connecting elements which are rigidly connected with the buffer body and are held by the buffer body at a predetermined distance from one another. Of the connecting elements, which are movable with respect to one another within limits determined by the deformability of the buffer body, one is connectable with the plate to be mounted and the other with the anchoring base. Each of the connecting elements includes a floor metal sheet plate which has a thickness which is very small relative to its other dimensions. The floor metal sheet plates accommodate the buffer body between themselves and are connected with the latter over relatively large areas at the respective contact planes.

  • Patent number: 4959396
Abstract: The composition comprises polyolefins, fillers and a plasticizer. It contains 0.2 to 20 wt. % etoxysiloxane, 5 to 60 wt. % polyolefin, 10 to 60 wt. % white black filler, and 10 to 75 wt. % polyethyleneglycol, petroleum oil or dioctylphtalate. The polyolefin can be high-density polyethylene with a melt index at a standard charging up to 6, superhigh-molecular polyethylene, polypropylene, or a mixture of polypropylene and polyethylene, or of high-density polyethylene and super-high-molecular polyethylene at as ratio of 0 to 100 wt. parts high-density polyethylene for every 100 wt. parts super-high-molecular polyethylene. The composition is prepared by treating the filler with etoxysiloxane at room temperature, then adding the polyolefin and the plasticizer to form a mixture, and then homogenizing the mixture in a cold state or with heating. With this composition are prepared microporous separators having an average pore size of below 0.05.mu., and having high physicomechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 4953402
Abstract: A wind measuring system can be used in meterology for a more accurate and reliable measurement of the velocity and the direction of an air current. The system has a sensor for velocity and a wind vane with sensors for horizontal and vertical wind directions. Depending on the velocity of the air current, a reference disc is rotated which generates pulses for each revolution. Horizontal air direction pressure is transmitted to bearing axles and a gear to cause rotational motion of a transducer for horizontal direction. Vertical air direction pressure rotates a transducer for vertical direction. The phase difference of the pulses from the transducers produces time delays which are recorded by a unit for electronic processing of the information. An output is generated indicating wind speed and direction.

  • Patent number: 4942880
Abstract: A method of diagnosing and treating abnormal tissue includes the steps of generating an electric signal composed of electrical pulses in the range of 250 Hz to 5 KHz, applying the signal to a patient through two electrodes attached to points on the surface of the patient's body, one point being the treated point, monitoring the average value of current passing through the patient's body; monitoring the rate of change in the average value of the current passing through the patient's body; and determining whether the treated point represents normal tissue or abnormal tissue, based on the rate of change in the average value of the current passing through the patient's body. Treatment of abnormal tissue is continued until the average value of current in a treated point reaches a stable value comparable in magnitude to the average value of the current passing through the patient's body at a point representing normal tissue.

  • Patent number: 4934576
Abstract: A planetary wire-feeding mechanism has a left and right driving roll with hyperboloid profiles in a housing made up of two equal left and right cylinders, with an axis of rotation coinciding with the geometric axis of the electrode wire. The two cylinders contact one another and are joined detachably. In each of them there is shaped semi-cylindrical seats having parts with a common axis perpendicular to the geometric axis of the electrode wire and disposed in the plane of contacts between the two cylindrical parts. In the semi-cylindrical seats there are mounted two identical units, disposed in opposite directions, each unit having a base and two opposite legs, the legs of the two oppositely disposed units being interdigitated when they are mounted within the housing. Such units constitute supporting-guiding components upon which they are disposed on the right and left driving rolls.

  • Patent number: 4934844
Abstract: A remote-control system is used in combination with a sewing machine for controlling revolution of a sewing machine motor. A remote-controller is connected to a main body of the sewing machine and operated by the sewing machine operator to change a resistance value of a variable resistor contained therein so that the sewing machine motor is driven under control in response to an output volume from the variable resistor. A condensor is connected to said variable resistor and chargeable by a power supply source mounted in the sewing machine main body. The output voltage is converted into a corresponding digital value at each timing when the condensor is saturated with electricity in response to a clock pulse signal at a predetermined interval. The output voltage at such timing will be in proportion to the resistance value of the variable resistor which is, in turn, in porportion to the amount of operation of the remote-controller.

  • Patent number: 4931678
Abstract: An electromotor, in particular a drive motor for a barrel or container pump, having an outwardly encapsuled motor housing made of a material having good heat conducting characteristics, such as aluminium. The motor housing is provided on its outer side with a shield of an electrically non-conducting material. The shield is surrounded on its outer side with a mantle which forms, with the housing middle portion, a through-stream gap for the passage of cooling air. This outer mantle includes a pair of housing caps, which overlap the end-support shields of the motor housing, and between which housing caps there extends the mantle which shields the outer surface of the housing middle portion by forming the through-stream gap for the passage of cooling air. The outer shielding of the entire motor housing prevents contact with metallic parts and thereby current conducting parts of the motor by a person servicing the device.
