Abstract: An adjustable buckle having elements for fixing to respective opposed flaps of a garment with a cover formed to engage one element and in pulling the respective flap of the one element over the respective of the second element to engage the second element in a plurality of positions so that the flaps are secured and the garment buckled in a plurality of positions so as to adjust the garment on the body of the wearer. The buckle is particularly suited for closing pants, and eliminating the top button closure on the pants over the fly. The buckle eliminates the need for belts and provides a flat, contoured appearance to the pants.

Abstract: A vibratory sauna including a housing having a closure member associated therewith which comprises a base and continuous side wall. There is also provided resilient mounting means for mounting the support member in or on the housing and vibration means for causing vibration of the support member. There is also provided a chamber in the housing located below the support member which has heating means such as a heated element and airflow generation means such as a fan associated therewith.The arrangement is such that heated air may be caused to flow out of the chamber and above the support member to contact the person resting on the support member while the support member is being vibrated by the vibration means. Afterwards the heated air may be returned to the chamber to provide a continuous circulation of heated air throughout the housing.

Abstract: The hydraulic lifting provision for the mounting of a crane jib comprises two lift provisions disposed successively at a distance, where each lift provision comprises two base frames rising up from the trailer and disposed at a distance from each other and in each case a tiltable lift arm is disposed at the free end. The free ends of the lift arms are in each case hingedly connected via a cross-frame, where the support for the crane jib is disposed in each case on the cross frame. The cross frames with the supports disposed thereon are tiltable to the side by way of a different operating action of the hydraulic cylinders engaging them. In addition, the supports are constructed shiftable to the sides along the cross-frames by way of a corresponding disposition of additional hydraulic cylinders.

Abstract: A storage container forming a compartment for storing garbage or edibles. The compartment is kept sealed from entry by a wild animal by the lid member being threadable onto the container member. A plurality of vertically extending hand grips are connected to the lid member at angular intervals. A plurality of hold down flange members are connected to the bottom of the container at angular intervals so that a user can hold the container member against the support surface with one or both feet while threading the lid onto or from the container member.

Abstract: An applicator for the electrophoretic deposition of a medicament through or on a skin surface. The device consists of layers of a reservoir containing the drug, a battery layer superimposed on the reservoir, and a cover of electrically conductive material fully enclosing the layers and having a lip along its periphery to engage the skin surface. An electrically conductive adhesive bonds the lip of the cover to the skin.

Abstract: A pair of rotary valves for an internal combustion engine positioned in a cylinder head over a cylinder block. The rotary valves include a pair of rotatable shafts, and a pair of sleeve supports having ports opening to the cylinder or cylinders of the engine. The pair of rotatable shafts can be either hollow or solid. The hollow intake shaft brings in a fuel mixture to an inlet passage that rotates into alignment with an intake opening in the intake shaft to the piston cylinder. The hollow exhaust shaft allows exhaust of burned gases from the piston chamber through an exhaust opening from the piston cylinder to an exhaust passage in the exhaust shaft and to the atmosphere. The solid rotatable shafts are provided with a diametrical intake channel and a diametrical exhaust channel that aligns with the openings to the piston cylinder and to the fuel mixture and to the atmosphere. Drive and timing gearing between the crankshaft and the intake and exhaust shafts are provided.

Abstract: An improved catch for safety belts embodying releasable locking of the catch tongue with a releasing element which by means of a pushbutton is manually movable to slide counter to a return spring and release a locking mechanism, and an automatic release system controlled by an electric signal generated by a sensor and having an electro-mechanical drive. The automatic release operation occurring after a given delay period, which starts anew after each signal, if several signals occur successively within the delay period. The electro-mechanical drive comprising a gear motor driven threaded spindle, and a drag nut on the spindle bearing against the releasing element. The drag nut releasing said releasing element for movement by the pushbutton. A switching element is provided which, upon release of the locking mechanism, acts on the gear motor to restore it to its starting condition prior to the electrical signal generated by the sensor.

Abstract: A brassiere which is useful for nursing, maternity, and holding prosthetic devices is disclosed. The brassiere has a pair of openable cups. Each cup comprises at least one fold-over section adapted to open and close the cup and the fold-over section does not require any type of fastening means.

Abstract: A fluid drive transmission system removably mounted to the axle of a motor vehicle. A power output drum connected to the wheel forms in part a fluid chamber. A power input rotor keyed to the axle extends through the center portion of the drum. Rotor blades and drum blades are positioned in the fluid chamber opposite one another. Bearings and fluid seals are positioned between the drum and the rotor so that the rotor and drum rotate freely relative to one another and the system can be removed as a unit from the axle without breaking the fluid seals.

Abstract: In a blood lancet consisting of a handle and a tip, which are injection molded in one piece of plastic, there is provided according to the invention a protective yoke which protects the tip against damage. The protective yoke (24) is integrally molded to the handle in one piece, leaving predetermined break points, so that it can be broken off. The tip of rhombic cross-section comprises a base which imparts mechanical stability and limits the pricking depth, and an offset fine pricking tip.

Abstract: A method for producing halftone dots in a halftone plate recording apparatus is disclosed. A photosensitive material is scanned with a purality of light beams and a plurality of minute dots in lattice-like arrangement are exposed in the range of the halftone dots areas of the halftone plate. Distribution of the quantity of light beams for recording the minute dots is gradually reduced from the center to the periphery thereof, and the intensity of exposure light beams on the minute dots is controlled by the degree of conformity of the minute dots or the pattern of their arrangement with the halftone dot areas.

Abstract: A massage appliance embodying a support frame adapted to be located adjacent the back of a user for supporting the user in a prone position and having pressure applying means mounted for movement relative to the support frame along the spine of the user. The appliance comprises a pair of spaced apart side rails between which the back of the user is positioned. A carriage is disposed on each of the side rails, and a pressure applying assembly is carried by and between the carriages and supports the pressure applying means. Handles arranged adjacent the rails are connected to the carriages and each handle has a plurality of spaced locating notches each engageable with a respective locating means fixed to the rails to selectively position the pressure applying means in an indexed step wise movement or manner relative to the frame.

The inner layer is wrapped several times around the leg of the animal and when the outer end of the inner layer is wrapped, the wrapping of the outer layer begins. When the outer end of the outer layer is wrapped, the wrap is fastened.
