  • Patent number: 5934944
Abstract: A block connector is provide to facilitate a disengaging operation. The block connector invention is constructed by placing an upper housing A and a lower housing B one over the other. Lock projections A7, A8 are provided at front and rear sides of the left and right side surfaces of the upper housing A, and corresponding lock holes B3, B5 are provided in the lower housing B. The lock projections A7, A8 are formed with locking surfaces A7b, A8b and disengagement guide surfaces A7c, A8c for smoothly disengaging the lock projections A7, A8 from the lock holes B3, B5. Further, jig insertion holes B6 for inserting a disengaging jig E are formed in the front surface of the lower housing B. The lock projection A7 and the lock hole B3 can be disengaged by inserting the disengaging jig E into the jig insertion hole B6 and prizing the jig insertion hole B6 with the disengaging jig E.

The tray is unitarially formed with a plurality of sidewalls, a comer joining each pair of sidewalls, and a base. A flange is formed to extend outwardly and downwardly from uppermost portions of the sidewalls and the corners preferably in the range of 15.degree.-35.degree.. Additionally, the flange may be formed with varying widths about the perimeter of the tray. The base may be either formed flat or, alternatively, the base may be formed with three concentric regions to define a concavity, with one region being planar and raised relative to the bottom of the tray.

  • Patent number: 5928034
Abstract: A connector is provided to improve the reliability of a primary locking function by an elastic lock piece without deteriorating a secondary locking function and an insufficient insertion detecting function of a retainer. When female terminals (20) are properly inserted, a retainer (30) can be pushed to its fully fitted state or full lock position since elastic lock pieces (14) are not located in deformation permitting spaces (15). When there is/are insufficiently inserted terminal(s) (20), the retainer (30) cannot be pushed to its fully fitted state or full lock position since it comes into contact with the elastic lock pieces (14) in the spaces (15). Since a lock projection and the elastic lock piece (14) are locked outside the terminal (20), a large engaging space of the lock projection (23) with the elastic lock piece (14) can be ensured without restricting a projecting amount of the lock projections (23) by the internal construction of the terminals (20).

  • Patent number: 5928004
Abstract: To downsize a large electrical connection box such as a junction block and to enable the mounting of a compact integrated fuse therein. Internal circuits are accommodated in a casing comprised of a lower casing 10 and an upper casing 11, and are divided into large current circuits, medium current circuits and small current circuits. The large current circuits are constructed by a busbar 18, the medium circuits by wires 16 and cramping terminals 17, and the small current circuits by a flexible printed circuit (FPC) 19. A fuse box 13 into which a compact integrated fuse 14 is fitted is arranged on the upper surface of the FPC 19, and upstream and downstream contact surfaces of narrowly and parallelly arranged fusible elements 34 of the fuse 14 are connected with the wires 16 and the FPC 19, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5929984
Abstract: A laser system is provided for precisely locating points in space relative to a reference plane. The system includes at least one laser generator capable of sweeping a plurality of mutually perpendicular laser planes and/or one laser plane and one laser beam perpendicular thereto. The system further includes a plurality of laser sensitive targets. Three laser sensitive targets are positioned to lie in the first plane swept by the laser generator. These targets then define a reference plane. The laser generator may be moved periodically and bucked into the previously established reference plane. The second laser plane or the laser beam will be perpendicular to the reference plane at each optional position of the laser generator. Thus, each second laser plane or each second laser beam will be parallel to one another. The system may further include position sensors for precisely defining distances between the parallel laser planes or parallel laser beams.

  • Patent number: 5915544
Abstract: Fixed electrodes 40 and terminals 30 are mounted on a casing main body 21 of a breaker device 10 with bolts 50. Each terminal 30 is firmly fixed between the end surface of a spacer 52 fitted on the bolt 50 and a mount base 24 by a fastening force of the bolt 50, and each fixed electrode 40 is pressed against the terminal 30 by an elastic force of a spring washer 52 fitted around the spacer 51 and is mounted such that it can be inclined by deforming the spring washer 52 by a remaining deformation margin. Accordingly, when the fixed electrode 40 is pushed by the movable electrode 44, the inclinations of the fixed electrodes 40 are automatically adjusted to reduce a sliding resistance which acts between the movable electrode 44 and the fixed electrode 40, thereby facilitating the switching operation.

  • Patent number: 5915472
Abstract: A lightweight apparatus designed to cool the EGR gas of an engine efficiently by replacing baffle plates with one or more support plates having a plurality of through holes, which is further made up of a barrel, end caps, a tube sheet, and a plurality of heat transmission tubes. An inlet and an outlet of the EGR gas are provided on the end caps covering both ends of the barrel and the sheet metal-made tube sheet attached to both ends of an inner wall of the barrel holds the properly arranged heat transmission tubes inserted into the through holes. Each metal sheet-made support plate affixed to a number of spots on the inner wall of the barrel has a diameter a little larger than the inside diameter of the barrel so that its edge is bent inward to fit inside the barrel tight but slidably in the form of tongue-like pieces. In a similar way, a peripheral edge of each through hole is curled up to create another set of tongue-like pieces to fit tight but slidably outside the heat transmission tubes.

  • Patent number: 5911318
Abstract: A breaker device is provided in which a lever can be locked in specified positions with an improved reliability and unlocking can be easily effected. A slider (60) carried by a lever (30) and a panel (22) of a casing (20) define a locking mechanism of the device. When the lever (30) is in a specified rotation position, the slider (60) and the panel (22) are engaged with each other to lock the lever (30) in that position. An unlock portion (62) for unlocking the locking mechanism is provided in a position to be covered by a handle portion (32) of the lever (30). Since this unlock portion (62) is protected by the handle portion (32), a tool or the like cannot come into contact with or strike the unlock portion (62). On the other hand, if a finger is placed on the handle portion (32) to rotate the lever (30), the tip of this finger is located at the underside of the handle portion (32), so that the unlock portion (62) can be easily operated.

  • Patent number: 5908327
Abstract: A cover 20 includes a pair of half pieces 20A which could be obtained by dividing a rectangular tube into halves by a plane extending parallel to two opposed wall of such a rectangular tube. The pair of half pieces 20A have the same configuration and are assembled in rotationally inverted positions about an axis. When assembling the cover 20, it is not necessary to precisely select different types of parts to be assembled as in the case where a cover has two types of parts having different configurations. This leads to a better operability, reduced production costs, and easy storage and handling.

  • Patent number: 5900796
Abstract: An electric noise suppressor is provided for suppressing high-frequency electric noise which comprises a thermoplastic housing and two ferrite members disposed therein. The thermoplastic housing is formed from two hingedly connected case halves, which are substantially identical. A ferrite member is secured to each case half by a laminated compressible adhesive-foam element, which is comprised of a resilient foam core layer and opposing adhesive layers disposed thereabout. Due to the resiliency of the foam core layer, the ferrite members are pressed into tight engagement within the thermoplastic housing. The end walls of the thermoplastic housing are formed with circular apertures, which are each formed with a diameter which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the cable which is engaged by the electric noise suppressor. The dimensional differences between the cable and the apertures allows the end walls to grippingly engage the cable at a predetermined location.
