Abstract: Disclosed is a weight vector computing unit using a symbol-rate, a chip-rate and/or a mixed-rate in a Smart Antenna System. The weight vector computing unit is useful in a wireless communication network having a reverse pilot channel. Further, by using such the weight vector computing unit, high-speed broadband communications are available in a smart antenna system. In such 3-G wireless communications where both traffic signals and pilot signals are transmitted from a terminal, the weight vector computing unit calculates optimized weight vectors using the pilot signal and the calculated weight vectors are adapted to each traffic signal. The weight vector computing unit is configured to receive the received signal and/or the integrated signal in order to produce a weight vector for beamforming without any training signal.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of a polycrystalline solar cell is disclosed. A polycrystalline silicon solar cell in accordance with the present invention performs crystallization-annealing amorphous silicon with a metal catalyst so as to reduce a crystallization temperature. The manufacturing method of a solar cell in accordance with the present invention includes the steps of (a) forming a first amorphous silicon layer on a substrate; (b) forming a second amorphous silicon layer on the first amorphous silicon layer; (c) forming a metal layer on the second amorphous silicon layer; (d) performing crystallization-annealing the second amorphous silicon layer; and (e) forming a third amorphous silicon layer on a resulting crystalline silicon layer of the step (d).
Abstract: The invention provides a system that includes: a web server, an application server, and a data server all connected to each other. The system is intended to protect web based applications. A web server receives a request and transmits it as a message to the application server. When the application server receives the request, the application server extracts attributes of this request. The application server uses an authorization engine to determine if each attribute of the request is authorized by accessing the data server to compare each attribute of the request with at least one rule from a rules store. The rules store resides on the data server. If the attributes of the request meet the rules in the rules store, then the request is executed by the application server.

Abstract: A visualization system effectively presents even extraordinarily complex systems in a readily understandable manner. The visualization system generates and displays a process-product matrix that includes the applications assigned to each matrix coordinate, arranged in a compact and easily readable format. The resulting visualization is useful in identifying the relationships and interdependencies of the processes, products and applications employed by an organization. Constructing an optimized visualization of a complex structure such as an application landscape is itself complex, and requires consideration of multiple factors. This is especially true given the exponential number of applications-processes-products permutations that must be considered in constructing the visualization. The display apparatus and method used to visualize the application landscape provides a way to input the applications' assignments and filter preferences, and generate the visualization.
Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying and resolving payment integrity issues are provided. Analytic techniques that may include a query component, an artificial intelligence engine, and a text mining component are integrated into a payment integrity system. One or more of the analysis components provide information from a source transaction system to an audit module. The audit module utilizes the outputs from the analysis components to resolve whether or not a claim payment was overpaid or underpaid. The audit module may subsequently instruct one of the analysis components to further analyze information from the source transaction system in accordance with previously provided information from another analysis component.

Abstract: A method for providing access to an electronic database for business intelligence is provided. The method includes receiving a request to create a new universe to interface with the electronic database to access the electronic database for business intelligence, receiving an input of a first set of universe details to populate the new universe, executing at least a first application macro to populate the new universe with the received first set of universe details by calling a business intelligence application to create the new universe with the populated first set of universe details; and providing the created new universe as a metadata layer that interfaces with the electronic database to provide access to the electronic database.
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing information to mass localized mobile users over a limited bandwidth are described. Short text messaging system messages, e.g., SMS, may be used to transmit coded data between mobile terminals and content providers, while a client application resident on each mobile terminal can decode the messages received from a content provider and display information in human-understandable formats on the display screen of the mobile terminal. The client application can also encode messages to send to the content provider to request specified information on demand. Users can also specify criteria that, when met, the content provider automatically sends an encoded SMS message to the user's mobile terminal with the requested information, provided the user has prepaid to receive SMS messages.
Abstract: A delay locked loop includes: a control voltage generator configured to generate a voltage control signal having a voltage level corresponding to a phase difference between an external clock and a feedback clock; a voltage controlled delay line configured to generate a plurality of output signals by reflecting a different delay time on the external clock in response to the voltage control signal; an internal clock multiplexer configured to output one of the plurality of output signals as an internal clock in response to a skew information signal; a delay replica model configured to output the feedback clock by reflecting a delay of an actual clock/data path on the internal clock; and a skew information signal generator configured to generate the skew information signal.
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device, for performing a writing operation faster without expanding a driver for the writing operation, includes a bit line sense amplifier (BLSA) for sensing and amplifying a value in a bit line pair, a supply line driver for driving a supply line of the BLSA, a driving controller for controlling the supply line driver in response to a sense amplifier enabling signal, and a sense amplifier enabling signal generator for generating the sense amplifier enabling signal, which is activated based on active and precharge command signals and inactivated during a predetermined part of an writing operation. A driving method of a semiconductor memory device includes enabling the BLSA in response to an active command signal, disabling the BLSA during a predetermined part of an writing operation, enabling the BLSA after the predetermine part, and disabling the BLSA in response to a precharge command signal.
Abstract: A computer program product for controlling the computer's processor to perform responsive actions a natural language input has: (1) vocabulary, phrase and concept databases of words, phrase and concepts, respectively, that can be recognized in the inputted communication, wherein each of these database elements is representable by a designated semantic symbol, (2) means for searching the inputted communication to identify the words in the communication that are contained within the vocabulary database, (3) means for expressing the communication in terms of the word semantic symbols that correspond to each of the words identified in the inputted communication, (4) means for searching the communication when expressed in terms of its corresponding word semantic symbols so as to identify the phrases in the communication that are contained within the phrase database, (5) means for expressing the communication in terms of the phrase semantic symbols that correspond to each of the phrases identified in the communicat
