  • Patent number: 8161984
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a device for generating a cleaning foam includes a female housing and a male plug. The plug includes an aperture into which a fluid flows from another component of the cleaning system. The plug includes a premix chamber which receives the fluid from the aperture and into which a gas is injected to form a foam. In an example embodiment, the chamber is a hollow cylinder and the gas is injected into the cylinder through channels which are tangential to the cylinder. The plug also includes a solid cylinder with a continuous helical indentation on the outside of the solid cylinder. When the male plug is inserted into the female housing, the continuous helical indentation and the inner surface of the housing form a helical channel through which the foam flows and is further mixed on its way back into the cleaning system.

  • Patent number: 8161094
Abstract: Methods are provided for event notification in a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) network. Each node within the P2P network can publish a subscription object for a published resource. Through the use of common identifiers, each subscription object is co-located with a corresponding publish object for the resource. Upon receiving notification of an event associated with the resource, the node responsible for the publish object for the resource distributes the event notification to each node present on the corresponding subscription registry. Therefore, nodes within the P2P network that are interested in a resource are capable of establishing a persistent query for the resource by publishing a subscription object for the resource on the responsible node.

  • Patent number: 8156421
Abstract: Computer implemented methods, programs and systems for displaying statistical data in a graphical user interface are provided. According to the method, baseline data is imported from a first report which corresponds to a trouble-free period. Similarly, critical data is imported from a second report corresponding to a trouble period. The imported data is compared and analyzed to create a results table, each cell in the results table corresponding to a timestamp and a statistical item. The cells in the results table contain a visual identifier according to the criticality of the comparison of the statistical items from the baseline data and the critical data. The results table is presented on a display to the user.

  • Patent number: 8150190
Abstract: With a minimal process load, to determine level of the image of an image data file, for image data files of a format that saves images in the form of coefficients of discrete frequency components. Image data that includes a plurality of coefficients representing the pattern of change of color of the image are acquired (Step S10). Multiple sets of basic pattern data that respectively include a plurality of basic coefficients representing basic patterns of color change are prepared. Then, based on a comparison of the two, one set of selected basic pattern data is selected from among the multiple sets of basic pattern data (Step S20). Subsequently, the blur level of the image of the image data is calculated, based on the basic blur level associated with the selected basic pattern data (S30-S70).

  • Patent number: 8150648
Abstract: A delay setting data generator generates delay setting data based on rate data. A variable delay circuit delays the test pattern data by a delay time determined by the delay setting data with reference to a predefined unit amount of delay. First rate data designates the period of the test pattern data with a precision determined by the unit amount of delay. Second rate data designates the period of the test pattern data with a precision higher than that determined by the unit amount of delay. The delay setting data generator outputs a first value and a second value in a time division manner at a ratio determined by the second rate data, the first and second values being determined by the first rate data.

  • Patent number: 8142288
Abstract: Method and systems for processing interactive communication received from input devices, which interface with a computer program that executes at a computer, are provided. The method includes receiving input data from a first input device and a second input device at a base station that is interfaced with the computer. The first and second input devices are movable independently of one another to interactively interface with the computer program. The method tracks a position of the first and second input devices through the base station and identifies a near-identical change in position of the tracked position of the first and second input devices. The method then sets a flag upon identifying the near-identical change in position. The flag is processed by the computer program to set an action to take during interactivity with the computer program. In one example, the base station includes an inertial sensor that can confirm movement.

  • Patent number: 8146075
Abstract: A social networking application manager (“SNAM”) initializes a set of modules for an application with their most updated versions. SNAM then iterates through the following operations. SNAM obtains the specification attributes for an updated version of the application. SNAM then obtains specification attributes for each module. SNAM compares the specification attributes of the modules with the specification attributes of the application to identify incompatible specification attributes. SNAM identifies the least compatible module. And SNAM replaces the least compatible module with a version of the module that results from decrementing a version number for the module. This iteration continues until there are no more incompatible specification attributes.
