  • Patent number: 7482861
Abstract: A power MOSFET Qp and a protection circuit 3 are formed over a semiconductor substrate to constitute a construction in which the power MOSFET Qp and the protection circuit 3 are electrically separated from each other. Then, a screening voltage is applied between the gate electrode and the source electrode of the power MOSFET Qp which is electrically separated from the protection circuit 3, thereby eliminating a power MOSFET Qp having a latent defect. Subsequently, a non-defective power MOSFET Qp and the protection circuit 3 are electrically connected by a bonding wire.

Abstract: Information transmitted through wireless communications formed by information transmission lines from artificial satellites and radio towers or through wired communications established by cables is categorized into four categories. The individual information is transmitted in a broadcasting mode in synchronization with the information transmission timing defined for each individual information category. The information receiver captures and edits the received information and provides output for the service client in the manner associated with the individual category corresponding to the received information. Category-4 information is transmitted with the highest priority immediately when the information is generated; Category-3 information is transmitted periodically, for example, every five minutes; Category-2 information is transmitted at a time slot when the transmission line is relatively unoccupied; and Category-1 information is transmitted at a time slot when the transmission line is least occupied.

  • Patent number: 6903351
Abstract: A power supply for applying a voltage to a scanning electromagnet for deflecting a charged particle beam has a first power supply unit having no filter and a second power supply unit having a filter. When an irradiation position of the charged particle beam in an irradiation object is moved, the first power supply unit, namely a power supply unit having no filter, is used to apply the voltage to the scanning electromagnet, so that an exciting current flowing in the scanning electromagnet can be changed in a short time. Further, when the irradiation position of the charged particle beam is maintained, the second power supply is used to apply a voltage whose pulsating component was removed to the scanning electromagnet, so that the exciting current flowing in the scanning electromagnet can be controlled precisely. Consequently, the charged particle beam can be applied uniformly to the irradiation object and an irradiation time of the charged particle beam to the irradiation object can be curtailed.

  • Patent number: 6897735
Abstract: The oscillator includes an active device, a substrate, a microstrip line formed on the substrate, and a dielectric block. The resonator is made up with the microstrip line and the dielectric block that is disposed so as to couple with the microstrip line. The active device produces a negative resistance in a desired oscillation frequency band. The dielectric block is set such that a resonance frequency of the lowest order mode of the dielectric block is lower than a desired oscillation frequency, and the resonance frequency of one of the higher order modes coincides with the desired oscillation frequency. The oscillator is generated with the higher order mode of the resonator. Thus, the invention provides at a low cost a millimeter wave band oscillator of a low phase noise by using this oscillator, and a transmitter-receiver module and a radar system applying this oscillator to the local signal generator.
