Abstract: A container (1) for volatile substances which can be evaporated by an evaporation device is disclosed having a container body (2) in which the volatile substances are contained. A container neck (3) extends away from the container body (2) in which a container opening (4) is formed. Furthermore, a wick retaining insert (8) in the form of a cylindrical sleeve is provided that can be placed in the container opening (4) of the container neck (3). There is an insert wick passage (9) for the insertion of the wick (10) having an outside wall (13) which presses, at least partially, against an inside container neck wall (15) in a wick clamping connection when inserted. Wick retention is provided by the insert so that wick (10) is secured from being pulled out of the container (1) when inserted. According to the invention wick (10) can be inserted through wick passage (9) of wick retaining insert (8) when the wick retaining insert is not inserted.

Abstract: A case packing and case flap separation apparatus is disclosed for packing articles into cases and closing the cases. The cases typically have first and second major and minor flaps interconnected by tab-locks and held in folded positions adjacent vertical ends and sides of the cases. The apparatus includes a conveyor having a radial transport path adapted to transport successive cases through an article insertion section, first and second tab slitting sections, and a case exit section. Tab slitters are associated with the first and second slitting sections adapted to sever the tab-locks so that the major and minor flaps can be separated. First and second flap guides are associated with the first and second slitting section adapted to engage and elevate the separated major flaps away from the vertical walls after the tab-locks have been severed.

Abstract: An aggregate turf filler for use with the turf of athletic fields and landscaped areas which comprise crushed silica sand particles (SiO2) which are substantially round in shape and are sized to be between 12 and 40 mesh. An acrylic based sealer covering the outer surface of each of the silica sand particles. Finally, providing that the silica sand particles have a smooth outer surface, possess an angle of repose of less than 30°, repel water, resist compacting, present no damaging sharp edges when incorporated with the turf and are environmentally safe.
Abstract: A portable containment for receiving spilled fluid having collapsible end and side walls which in combination with a floor form a containment area when held in an upright position by braces position along the walls. In use certain of the walls and braces are collapsed into folded or down positions to allow vehicle entry into the containment area. Skids are positioned beneath the braces associated with certain walls. Flotation members are secured along the upper edges of at least the certain walls. The flotation members are capable of elevating the certain walls in the event spillage occurs prior to the certain walls being repositioned into the upright position. Elevation of the certain walls causes the associated braces to slide over the skids to assure their upstanding position which maintaining the walls in their upright position.
Abstract: A reinforced ground anchor including a spike, a pressure cap having a planar surface, a rod having a drive section at one end, and a swivel connection connecting said pressure cap with the rod. An opening is formed in the pressure cap. A guide is located adjacent the opening. The pressure cap engages flush with the surface of the ground, due to the action of the swivel connection, when the rod is positioned in the ground soil and the spike passes through the opening to engage in the ground soil at an acute angle. The spike and the cap in combination with the rod provide the anchor with additional resistance against horizontal and vertical pressure.
Abstract: A portable, lightweight and high-intensity light source for detecting and analyzing fingerprints during field investigation. On-site field analysis requires long hours of mobile analysis. In one embodiment, the present invention comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes; a power source; and a personal attachment means; wherein the light emitting diodes are powered by the power source, and wherein the power source and the light emitting diodes are attached to the personal attachment means to produce a personal light source for on-site analysis of latent fingerprints. The present invention is available for other applications as well.
Abstract: A water recreation dock for providing access into and out of the water comprising a main deck platform carried by a dock frame. A stationary platform forms a first part of the main deck platform which is supported above the water on the dock frame. A movable platform forms a second part of the main deck platform which has a raised position and a lowered position. A landing section and a walkway section are included in the movable platform. In the raised position, the landing section and walkway section are located generally in a common horizontal plane with the stationary platform above the water. In the lowered position, the landing section is submerged and the walkway section is partially submerged as extending from the stationary platform to the landing section to provide access into and out of the water.
Abstract: Hydrogenated triglycerides having melting points above 50° C. are substituted for paraffin as a coating material for the surface of paper products and the resulting paper products have improved wet strength and moisture resistance in addition to being repulpable thereby providing a distinct environmental advantage over paraffin coated products.
Abstract: An improved device for timely medication administration that attaches to any original container cap and that measures and displays elapsed time in response to opening or closing of said original container cap is disclosed. Physical, chemical and labeled characteristics of the original medication vessel are thus preserved as dispensed. This device includes a timing unit, a compression reset switch and a thermoplastic housing for the above with a resilient, flexible, circumferential wall that permits operation of the enclosed compression reset switch. The thermoplastic housing also features a rigid lower lip that allows adhesive attachment to the original lid.
Abstract: The apparatus includes a central support conduit having a hollow fluid passageway. A plurality of downwardly arching arms extend radially outward from the central support conduit for carrying a plant container. A mounting sleeve is carried on the central support conduit that includes a plurality of arm brackets for carrying the arms. A fluid distribution hub is carried by the central support conduit and has a chamber in fluid communication with the hollow fluid passageway, and a plurality of fluid diversion conduits extending radially outward from the chamber. A plurality of watering lines, each carrying a valve to control fluid flow through the lines, extend radially outward from the fluid distribution hub. Each watering line has a source end in fluid communication with one of the fluid diversion conduits, and a nozzle end disposed near a distal end of one of the arms for channeling fluid into the plant container.
Abstract: A stretcher comprising a molded frame assembly having a first frame pole and a second frame pole interconnected by a spreader bar for maintaining poles in a laterally spaced arrangement. A bed member is carried by the frame poles adapted for receiving and supporting a person. The molded frame assembly is constructed of a composite of 50% to 85% polyamide resin and 15% to 50% fiberglass by weight to resist hazardous materials and allow for decontamination of the frame assembly. The frame poles are constructed from a plurality of frame arms. A hinge pivotally connects abutting ends of frame arms, and a hinge support carried opposite the hinge further interconnects frame arms to increase the structural rigidity of the hinge. The frame poles having a hollow interior cavity to reduce weight with reinforcing members disposed in the cavity running the length of the cavity to resist bending and twisting.
Abstract: A security system for a storage container including a latch assembly disposed on an interior side of a door for latching the door in a closed position with the storage container. A plurality of reciprocating latch elements are included in the latch assembly for latching the door in a closed position with the storage container. A latch actuator included in the latch assembly moves the latch elements to latch the door. A master lock assembly controls operation of the latch actuator by having a first locking part of the master lock assembly interlocking with a second locking part carried by an elongated shaft connected to an operator on the container exterior. A tamper-resistant control blocks access to the master lock assembly from outside the storage container whereby access to the container interior is prevented when the latch assembly is closed and the master lock assembly is in an engaged position.
