Abstract: A terminal connector includes a knob at its outer end. A knob cover snaps into the knob to enable rotation of the knob. The knob cover has resiliently urged lock tabs which snap over lock steps on the knob and into grooves beyond the lock steps. The sides of the lock tabs engage sides of the grooves to transmit torque to the knob. The knob covers are color coded so that a selected color can be installed on a selected knob to indicate its function. An insertion prevention lid is integrally molded over a plug insertion opening of the knob cover to prevent insertion of a connector plug therein. A frangible perimeter of the insertion prevention lid permits its removal to enable insertion of a connector plug.
Abstract: A photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic photoconductor has at least one phthalocyanine compound, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a metal phthalocyanine compound bonded by an o-phthalonitrile compound as a ligand. The o-phthalonitrile ligand is present in an amount from about 100 nmol to about 200 nmol with respect to 1 mol of the phthalocyanine. The resulting electrophotographic photoconductor exhibits a high potential retention rate. A method for making such an electrophotographic photoconductor is also disclosed wherein a photosensitive layer is formed by coating, with a coating layer, to obtain a photosensitive layer having a high potential retention rate.
Abstract: A direct driving motor for a videotape deck, in which a motor shaft is directly coupled to the capstan axis, and which is controlled by a PWM control, has a constitution in which a stator core and a deck chassis or a head cylinder are electrically insulated with each other. Also, the motor includes a bearing holder for holding a motor PCB (printed circuit board) one end of which is supported on the deck chassis in an insulating state. This constitution prevents current switching noise generating in the motor from propagating into the deck chassis, thereby suppressing video screen noise and audio noise, and also provides a measure for suppressing motor vibration.

In the variable displacement piston pump/motor, a flywheel and a rotation shaft of a pump device are disposed and connected concentrically.
Abstract: An ozonated ultrapure water supply system that prevents reduction of the dissolved ozone concentration in the supply pipe system and maintains the dissolved ozone at points of use along the supply system at desired concentrations. This permits the system to supply ozonated water in long pipes. The system includes a sequential arrangement of a circulatory main pipe 3 for supplying ultrapure water, an ozonated gas supplying device 4, and at least two output branch lines 8 each having a gas/liquid separation device 9 and an ultimate point of use 7. The output branch lines are spaced downstream from the ozonated gas supplying device such that the ozone concentration in the ultrapure water has increased to a stable level and the ozonated ultrapure water at each output branch line is at this same stable ozone concentration.

Abstract: A conveyor controlling device which can reduce production costs and can be easily attached. The presence or absence of a load in the conveyor portion in the local zone and a plurality of selected downstream zones is detected. The controlling device stops the drive of the local corresponding zone when a signal indicates the presence of loads in the local zone and in all of the downstream zones. The conveyor controlling device drives the local corresponding zone when the downstream presence signal indicates that at least one downstream zone is vacant. This controlling device provides a simple method for controlling an accumulating conveyor.
Abstract: The invention involves: a voxel data reading process (step S1) used to read voxel data on the shape of an object of analysis that is defined by the groups of rectangles of voxels; a boundary determination process used to determine whether each voxel contained in the voxel data, which is read in the voxel data reading process S1, belongs to a boundary separating the inside from the outside of the shape of the above-mentioned object of analysis; a connected voxel determination process (step S2) used to recursively determine whether the voxel at each level is connected to the other voxel that is determined to belong to the boundary in the boundary determination process; and a voxel redefinition process used to redefine each voxel, at each level in the groups determined in the above-mentioned connected voxel determination process S2, to the voxel at each level several times wider than the rectangle of a voxel determined to belong to the boundary in the above-mentioned boundary determination process.
Abstract: A tape-like connecting device adapted to firmly connect a plurality of parts of a textile product in a detachable manner, and a women's clothing product with cups using the same are provided. Both left and right cup portions are connected to each other by the tape-like connecting device. The tape-like connecting device has tape members and a connector, while the base portions of the connector are formed with depressions. The front end portions of the tape members are sewn to the center front cloths and the front end portions of the under tape by way of the depression to each other. Further, the base end portions of the tape members are sewn to cup wire portions, whereby the tape-like connecting device fulfills a main role of connecting both cup portions to each other.
Abstract: A slide-type pressing machine has a stroke length adjustment mechanism in which: changing of the stroke length does not effect the bottom dead center position of the press, adjustment is simplified, and the press is suitable for high speed pressing operations. The slide-type pressing machine has an eccentric section of a crank shaft which causes a slider to move up and down. An arm extends past a fixed pivot of an upper toggle link. One end of the arm is connected to the slider by a connecting link. A drive link and a drive connecting link are connected by a connecting pivot. A worm wheel is disposed on a frame, and is concentric with the connecting pivot when the slide is at bottom dead center. The worm wheel is arranged so that its rotation angle can be adjusted. A second arm is disposed in a radial direction from the axis of the worm wheel. A second pin is located at an end of the second arm. The second pin is connected to the connecting pivot via a third link.
Abstract: A groove is cut into an end surface of a shaft component to deform the shaft component into irregularities provided on a tubular component, thereby coupling the shaft component with the tubular component to form an outer ring for a constant velocity joint. This type of joint provides an outer ring having a strong coupling force and high coupling precision. The irregularities are preferably in the form of a spline cut in a portion of an inner perimeter surface of the tubular component, at a location where coupling of the tubular component with the shaft component is desired. The spline optionally includes a notch which provided additional coupling strength, especially in the shaft direction. The tubular component is shaped by pressing the inner surface of the tubular component into a mandrel having an outer surface shape of the desired inner surface shape of the tubular component. Hydraulic pressure is used to supply the force to press the material onto the mandrel to form the tubular component.
Abstract: A garment with a figure control or muscle support function which includes a warp knit fabric having ground stitches by jacquard knitting of inelastic yarn, in which elastic yarn is further inserted and/or knitted. Portions with relatively strong and weak straining forces are formed in the warp knit fabric in predetermined places in predetermined patterns by changing the ground stitches depending on the required strength of the straining forces. There is substantially no difference in level at a boundary between the portions with strong and weak straining forces. The fabric is thus free of a problem in which a difference in level is reflected in outer wear and degrades the wearer's appearance.
Abstract: A shift mechanism of an outboard engine has a shift cam which is remotely-operable to effect change-over of the direction of rotation of a propeller shaft in a gear case. A shift cam support member is a member separate from and detachably secured to the gear case. The shift mechanism permits use of a single design of the gear case adapted to either a rotary shift cam or a vertically-movable shift cam.
Abstract: The present invention provides a four-cycle outboard motor (1),with reduced vibration and improved control stability. The center of gravity is moved forward allowing reduced size. In outboard motor (1), a crank shaft (4) is arranged substantially vertically within an engine (3) so that the rotational force of crank shaft (4) is transmitted to a propulsion unit via a drive shaft (10). The shaft centers of crankshaft 4 and drive shaft 10 are arranged either on an axis (31) of a cylinder constituting engine 3, or on the centerline of engine (3), which extends in the fore-aft direction and passes through the shaft center of crankshaft (4), and in that the shaft center of drive shaft (10) is arranged offset toward the rear of outboard motor (1) from the shaft center of crankshaft (4).
Abstract: An electro-hydraulic transducing valve (3a) and other elements associated with cylinder-controlling components, such as a control valve (3), are connected to the output end of a controller (23) adapted to perform control computation based on electric manipulation signals send from and electric joy stick (12a) or the like. Control valve return pressure (PT) and load-sensing pressure (PL) are detected by the first and second detectors (18), (19) so that start-up of a hydraulic cylinder (7) or the like is detected based on rise of the differential pressure (&Dgr;P) between the two types of pressures. The controller (23) is provided with a function generating unit (14a) and a calibration computing unit (20). The function generating unit (14a) has a reference function (F) that determines the relationship between electric manipulation signals and command values for commanding the electro-hydraulic transducing valve (3a) and other similar elements.
Abstract: A purge control system of an engine has a purge valve which is opened and closed in accordance with the state of operation of the engine so as to establish a purge-on mode and a purge-off mode, thereby controlling purge rate which is the flow rate of the purge gas supplied to said engine. An air-fuel ratio feedback controller performs feedback control of the air-fuel ratio based on an output signal from an air-fuel ratio sensor and a purge density which is computed as the concentration of the evaporated fuel in the purge gas supplied to said engine. An air-fuel ratio correcting device performs, in the purge-on mode, a purge learning control having a plurality of cycles for learning the results of computations of the purge density and for effecting correction of the air-fuel ratio based on purge learned values obtained through the learning. The air-fuel ratio correcting device effects, in the purge-off mode, correction of the air-fuel ratio based on normal learned values learned in the purge-off mode.
Abstract: A sub panel concealing an airbag is mounted in the instrument panel of a vehicle. The sub panel covering a portion of the instrument panel appears to be part of the instrument panel. The inner surface of the sub panel has cleavage grooves that split open during a vehicle collision allowing the airbag to expand, protecting the passenger. The sub panel and airbag unit are replaceable after the airbag is deployed, restoring the instrument panel functionality. In the preferred embodiment, the sub panel covers a portion of the instrument panel on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Abstract: A synchronous control unit receives data describing robot motion and speed along a pathway. A storage unit stores the data. In accordance with an internal clock or encoder equivalent internal to the robot, an output unit outputs the data to a positioning controller thereby synchronizing the robot movement with the data.
Abstract: A rotary air tool includes an axially moving automatic speed control valve which responds to changes in rotary speed by varying the amount of air fed to its air motor. When the speed tends to increase under light load, less air is fed to the air motor to maintain a generally constant rotary speed. A safety device is triggered when the speed exceeds a predetermined maximum due, for example, to a malfunction in the speed control valve. The safety device includes a weight which is radially movable at the predetermined maximum speed to release a latch. The latch permits resilient actuation of the speed control valve toward its closed position. In one embodiment, a second latch maintains the safety device in the actuated condition so that the air tool remains substantially shut off until the reason for the overspeed condition is investigated. In a further embodiment, the speed control valve is not fully closed by actuation of the safety device so that at least a small amount of air is admitted to the air motor.
Abstract: A coupling device, having a simple structure, prevents leakage of fluid from an auxiliary valve in a female coupler. The coupling device seals fluid containing air in the female coupler, even in the pressure of the fluid remains or is as low as the ambient pressure level when the male coupler is separated from the female coupler. An annular seal, having integrally formed first and second annular seal elements, is provided in the female coupler. The first annular seal seals between a protruded cylindrical member of the male coupler and a mating cylindrical member of the female coupler. The second annular seal forms a valve body portion of the cylindrical member of the female coupler.
