Abstract: This invention relates to a flat float glass that can be prestressed or transformed into a glass ceramic with high quartz mixed crystals or keatite mixed crystals. To eliminate undesirable surface defects during floating and to achieve superior characteristics of the glass or of he glass ceramic, in particular with regard to a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high light transmittance, the glass has a concentration of less than 300 ppb Pt, less than 30 ppb Rh, less than 1.5 wt. % ZnO and less than 1 wt. % SnO2, and is refined during melting without the use of the conventional fining agents arsenic oxide and/or antimony oxide.

Abstract: There is now provided a method and an apparatus therefor for stabilizing products in containers in a continuous container flow by stationary, sequential sections by means of overflowing liquid, whereby the sections are graduated with respect to one another in terms of their liquid temperature, and for purposes of efficient liquid recycling are organized in pairs, so that the liquid is transported by overflow among sections, and to set the desired temperature of the overflowing liquid, liquid is added to the liquid being transported, characterized by the fact that the excess liquid in the at least one zone overflows in a cascade fashion from zone to zone of increasing overflow temperature and into liquid reservoirs.
Abstract: There is now provided a kitchen gas cooking stove with a glass-ceramic, glass, or ceramic top, a gas cooktop with a glass-ceramic, glass, or ceramic top, and a glass-ceramic, glass, or ceramic top of a cooking stove or cooktop with a venting structure thereon. A component-part is mounted on the top in a cutout portion with an attachment that prevents contact between the component-part and the top and seals the cutout portion from cooking spills to prevent spills on the top from seeping along said attached silicone body toward the cutout portion.

Abstract: A building glass facade having glass panes that are mounted to a mounting structure, such as a building. The glass panes are mounted using clamp fittings or clamping arrangements for fastening glass panes with two clamping elements that clamp the glass pane between them, whereby one clamping element is realized in the form of a conical nut or taper nut that is set into a boring of the glass pane and has a detachable cover. The invention teaches that a clip closure is integrated into the cover or is an integral part of the cover.
Abstract: A skid steer loader and like off-road vehicles with engine mounts having internally snubbed shocks and vibrations isolators, particularly for mounting three and four cylinder engines. The engine mount provides for minimized damage due to shocks from the chassis to the engine and due to vibrations from the engine to the chassis.
Abstract: Holder for plates, in particular glass plates with borings or holes, whereby in each boring is inserted an annular body with an internal or female thread and an outside facing made of an elastic material. A threaded bolt for the connection to a load-bearing construction can be screwed into the annular body. The punctiform holder makes possible a pivoting and displacement of the glass plate within certain limits. It can be installed quickly and easily.
Abstract: There is now provided a method for determining vision defects and for collecting data for correcting vision defects of the eye. The method comprises projecting an image into the eye of the patient with an adaptive optical system having adaptive optical elements. The optical characteristics of the optical elements can be individually changed by an electrical signal. The presence of distortions of the image as perceived by the patient is determined by interaction of the patient with the examiner. By way of an electronic control system the optical characteristics of the adaptive optical elements are changed through outputting of an electrical signal to obtain a modified image with minimized distortions in the eye of the patient. The optical characteristics of the adaptive optical elements, as modified, are determined and vision correcting data for the eye being examined are computed from the optical characteristics of the adaptive optical elements, as modified.
Abstract: This invention relates to a fastening device for an insulating glass panel. A punctiform holder (1) is used that is fastened by means of an adhesive (51) to the outside of the insulating glass plate (50). In the vicinity of the punctiform holder (1), a spacer piece (53) is inserted between the separated glass plates (2, 50). The invention further relates to a mounting element (5) with adjustable bias, whereby between a cap bell (10) and the mounting element (5) there is a permanently elastic spring element (7) that permits a relative movement of the cap bell (10) with respect to the mounting element (5). The invention further relates to the realization of a plurality of three-dimensional articulations (12, 13) between the insulating glass plate (2, 50) and the holder on the building side.
Abstract: There is disclosed a method and apparatus for clearing waste water pipes and/or grease traps clogged with grease, with the method comprising the steps of: providing a dry agent comprising bacteria and enzymes; mixing dry agent comprising bacteria and enzymes with an amount of water sufficient to cause in-situ production of an aqueous mixture; maintaining the aqueous mixture in an activator vessel structure to activate the aqueous mixture for a time sufficient to form an aqueous solvent for cleaning or clearing fatty residues and/or grease; contacting the waste water pipes and/or grease traps containing fatty residues and/or grease with the aqueous solvent to dissolve the grease and/or fatty residues; and thus cleaning the waste water pipes and/or grease traps by biodigesting fatty residues and/or grease deposited in the waste water pipes and/or grease traps.
