  • Patent number: 6564726
Abstract: Method and device (10) for marking objects (100), particularly for marking objects in banknote cassettes (1) or in other valuable object storage spaces. There is used a container (60) which can be punctured or otherwise opened and which is placed adjacent the object/objects (100) to be marked. The device includes means (13) which is caused to puncture or otherwise open the container (60) when necessary, so as to enable the content (61) of the container to come into contact with the object/objects (100) and therewith mark said object/objects and/or render the same useless. The marking device (10) and the container (60) fitted thereto are placed in the upper region of the space (1) so that the container is able to come into contact with said object/objects (100) at least partially with the aid of gravity. The puncturing means/opening means (13) is released from an active rest position when an alarm is triggered, so as to slit or otherwise open the container (60) in a guillotine fashion.

  • Patent number: 6514108
Abstract: There is now provide an ocean-going ship, and an ocean-going vessel with a stern tube seal arrangement for sealing a stern tube for a propeller drive shaft, and an arrangement for sealing propeller drive shafts in an ocean-going vessel. In the seal arrangement there is provided a compensation to balance pressure fluctuations that arise in the lubricating oil chamber due to axial oscillations of the shaft. In this, the change of pressure is determined by a sensor and this actual value is passed to a comparator element. The comparator element controls a pressure valve so as to control the extent of filling of an annular tubular expandable body, whereby the expandable body impacts on the lubricating oil chamber. By way of a phase shift of 180 degrees in reference to the sensed pressure impulse in the event of an increase in volume of the expandable body, a minimized pressure fluctuation in the lubricating oil chamber can be controlled.

  • Patent number: 6510792
Abstract: A device for forming a pile of sheets by means of a pile carrier and a stop. The stop can be swung around a horizontal geometric axis in a first direction away from the pile against a first actuating force of an actuating device and then swung back in the opposite direction by means of the actuating device while simultaneously raising the stop until reaching its alignment position on a second, higher level. So that the stop retains its alignment regardless of the level on which the stop is located, the device is provided with a guide which guide forces the vertical dislocation of the geometric axis, and with an end stop by means of which the stop is kept in the same alignment at any of the elevations assumed by the stop.
