  • Patent number: 7493810
Abstract: A mechanical load bearing indicator producing signals to a user when the user applies more than selected amounts of load between an extremity of the use and a surface. The indicator has a base plate adapted to establish a frame of reference with the surface, a load plate mounted for movement toward and away from the base plate and adapted to receive loads from the user's extremity, and at least two snap domes mechanically engaged between the base plate and the load plate for generating two signals when more than two different respective loads are applied to the load plate by the extremity. The domes are either in series between the plates or are together in a dual dome containing both, or are one or more stacks of domes which individually collapse under incremental loads which are added together to form the selected lower and higher loads.

  • Patent number: 7494405
Abstract: Based on a conventional installation including a stuffing-portioning machine (1) and a fast clipper (2), duly synchronised, between which is established a shaping device (3) that converts the film (5) meant to wrap food products that is supplied in the form of a coil into a tubular element that can be coupled to the stuffing tube (3), on which is coaxially mounted a second tube (8) bearing an external casing (9) based on a tubular net, the invention consists of using tubes (4) and (8) with a small diameter, much smaller than that of the finished product, so that the film (5) is adapted to the tube (4) after the former is profusely folded longitudinally, while the small diameter of the tube (8) allows the multilayer shirring of the tubular net (9), using the pressure provided by the pumping system of the stuffing machine (1) to achieve the radial expansion of the film (5) and the tubular net (9) to obtain the final diameter of the finished product, which will vary according to the speed with which it is separa

  • Patent number: 7479115
Abstract: A method and apparatus by which lung deceases are identified uses computer analysis of sound signals that are picked up from various locations on the chest walls of a subject by a modified stethoscope. The modification includes a small microphone in one of the hoses of the stethoscope. Signals from the microphone are input to a computer such as a personal computer or PC for processing. The computer extracts from these signals features which are dominant for particular lung diseases. A classifier classifies these features, determines if the lungs are diseased, and identifies the disease.

  • Patent number: 7478458
Abstract: A biaxial hinge device, rotates a second member with regard to a first member around a first axis for opening and closing in a vertical direction, and rotates the second member with regard to the first member around a second axis in a horizontal direction. The hinge has a vertical direction rotation controlling mechanism of the second member having the first axis, and a horizontal direction rotation controlling mechanism of the second member having the second axis. A movable stopper is further mounted between a supporting member of the vertical direction rotation controlling mechanism and an attaching member of the horizontal direction rotation controlling mechanism, to which the supporting member is rotably attached. A rotation in a horizontal direction is therefore controlled within a range of predetermined angles, additionally further rotation in the same direction is available via pressing of the second member into the desired direction.
