Abstract: An appliance for sealing elastic hoses with a sleeve, which is plastically deformable and slipped onto the hose, has two jaws which are movable towards and away from each other. One jaw has two straight bars which project towards the other jaw and extend transversely of the sleeve to make two transverse indentations in the sleeve and the hose when the jaws are moving towards each other. The same jaw has a cutting edge which projects towards the other jaw and is directed transversely of the sleeve, the cutting edge making a substantially transverse cutting indication in the sleeve and the hose when the jaws are moving towards each other.

Abstract: A system for controlling vehicle movements on a road network. The system provides for identification data and road information transmission between a vehicle and a traffic information center. The road network is so arranged as to be entered into the system in such a way that it is regarded as a data network, and each vehicle that is intended to make use of the road network is logged in for travelling on the road network, and each vehicle identifies itself at the time of logging in, the identity is either dynamic or static. Information relating to the intended destination is transmitted for each vehicle to the traffic information center, and information about the position and the speed of the vehicle is also reported at regular intervals to the aforementioned traffic information center, so that overall control of the traffic is achieved.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming and containing a series of waste containing packs successively distributed along a length of flexible tubing is formed of a housing with a top portion displaying an opening to receive waste material therein and of a cassette containing a package of a flexible pleated tubing and so constructed as to enable the tubing to be dispensed therefrom downwardly into the opening. The apparatus includes a tubing pulling device rotatably mounted to the housing and including an attachment for securing one end of the tubing and an arrangement to receive the tubing in a wraparound manner when the pulling device is rotated and to form waste containing packs. Abstract: An LED signal with an LED light pipe collector and intelligent light degradation sensor. The light pipe collector captures LED light normally lost in a generally horizontal direction and redirects it into a generally vertical direction through use of total internal reflection. The light degradation sensor monitors LED signal light output. When light output degrades to a preset level, an electrical circuit triggers a disabling short circuit to deactivate the LED signal.

At least a number of the aforementioned lane dividers exhibit recesses to accommodate locking devices for the purpose of locking a cargo securely to them.
