  • Patent number: 7533637
Abstract: Method for cooling in a motor vehicle comprising: cooling at least the vehicle engine by a liquid-based cooling system in which coolant is cooled by air in a first heat exchange element which is by the vehicle radiator; heating the cab of the motor vehicle by heating air by using a coolant in a separate second cab exchange element and supplying the heated air to the cab by a fan. The second cab heat exchange element is arranged in a separate cooling configuration by which coolant in the second heat exchange element is cooled by air which is thereafter supplied to spaces other than the cab. There are also devices for accomplishing such cooling, such heating, such heat exchange and such supplying of air.

  • Patent number: 7534666
Abstract: A process for forming an NPT IGBT in a thin N type silicon wafer in which the bottom surface of a thin silicon wafer (100 microns thick or less) has a shallow reduced lifetime region in its bottom formed by a light species atom implant to a depth of less than about 2.5 microns. A P+ transparent collector region about 0.5 microns deep is formed in the bottom of the damaged region by a boron implant. A collector contact of Al/Ti/NiV and Ag is sputtered onto the collector region and is annealed at 200° C. to 400° C. for 30 to 60 minutes. A pre-anneal step before applying the collector metal can be carried out in vacuum at 300° C. to 400° C. for 30 to 60 seconds.

  • Patent number: 7531039
Abstract: Of a substrate-facing surface 24 of an atmosphere blocking member 2, a central area 241 which is faced with an approximately central portion of a substrate S is a flat surface while a periphery edge area 242 which is faced with a periphery edge of the substrate S is an angled surface which becomes closer to the substrate S with a distance toward a periphery edge of the substrate-facing surface 24. Hence, a micro-space SP between the substrate S and the atmosphere blocking member 2 becomes gradually narrower in a direction R which is toward the periphery edge of the substrate S. As an atmosphere gas is fed into the micro-space SP, the atmosphere gas is compressed in the vicinity of a periphery edge of the micro-space SP and a pressure rises. As a result, the micro-space SP becomes positively pressurized as compared with a mist-splashed atmosphere, which effectively prevents a mist from invading other major surface S2 of the substrate S.

The inventive pipe consists of the following elements from inside outwards: an inner polymer sheath, at least two crosswise-arranged reinforcing plies comprising a wire which is wound helically at opposing winding angles, A and B, which are close to the angle of equilibrium of 55°, having an average that is centered on a value close to the equilibrium angle value; and an outer polymer sheath. The pipe also comprises an anticreep layer which is made from at least one coil with contiguous edges of a strip with high mechanical properties. Moreover, the aforementioned winding angles, A and B, of the crosswise-arranged reinforcing plies are not equal.

  • Patent number: 7531518
Abstract: A method of inducing bone formation in a subject in need of such inducement comprises the steps of mechanically inducing an increase in osteoblast activity in the subject and elevating blood concentration of at least one bone anabolic agent in the subject. The method steps may be performed in any order, but in sufficient time proximity that the elevated concentration of the anabolic agent and the mechanically induced increase in osteoblast activity overlaps. The method may additionally comprise providing the subject with an elevated blood concentration of at least one antiresorptive agent, wherein the elevated concentration is sufficient to prevent resorption of new bone growth produced due to the osteoblast activity. Use of the method permits targeting of specific bones of the subject for bone production and preservation, faster bone production and earlier discontinuation of bone anabolic pharmaceuticals. Kits adapted for performing the method are provided.

  • Patent number: 7532245
Abstract: A system controller 115 has a function of changing the position and the orientation of character data to be superimposed on the image data, in accordance with the operation of one of orientation keys. Specifically, when a downward key has been pushed, the character data is superimposed on a lower portion of the image data, not revolved and but oriented upward. When a rightward key has been pushed, the character data is revolved counterclockwise through 90 degrees, and is located along the right-hand edge of the image data, oriented leftward. When an upward key has been pushed, the character data is revolved through 180 degrees, and is located along the upper edge of the image data, oriented downward. Further, when a leftward key has been pushed, the character data is revolved clockwise through 90 degrees, and is located along the left-hand edge of the image data, oriented rightward.

  • Patent number: 7531771
Abstract: A reflector is so provided as to entirely cover a plurality of flash lamps arranged in parallel with one another. The reflector reflects flash light emitted from the flash lamps. A plurality of trigger electrodes needed to allow the flash lamps to discharge are so fixed to the reflector with insulating members interposed therebetween, respectively, as to be proximately opposed to the plurality of flash lamps in a one-to-one correspondence with each other. This eliminates the necessity to provide trigger wires one by one near the flash lamps during the maintenance of the apparatus, the change of lamps or the like, and it is possible to easily provide the trigger electrodes near the flash lamps only by fixing the reflector at a predetermined set position.

  • Patent number: 7532914
Abstract: A radio base station 1 is connected together with a multi-media server 3 and a multi-media terminal unit 4 to a LAN or WAN line 100 for radio communication with radio mobile terminals 2-1 to 2-N. The radio mobile terminals 2-1 to 2-N can be switched between a power-saving mode of their part-time duty service and a normal mode of their full-time duty service. The radio base station 1 manages the radio mobile terminals 2-1 to 2-N by executing discrimination as to whether they are in the power-saving mode of the part-time duty service operation or in the normal mode of the full-time duty service operation. and when the radio mobile terminals 2-1 to 2-N are in the power-saving mode of the part-time duty service operation, it acts as an agent to execute part of the processes to be executed in the radio mobile terminals 2-1 to 2-N.

  • Patent number: 7532865
Abstract: The method and device proposed for wireless communications systems based on WCDMA technology modifies the desired signal to interference ratio target (SIRtarget) when it detects the exit from the wind-up condition in the mobile communication, that is, when the unwinding process has started, in order to match it to the outer loop power control in normal mode, setting for this desired signal to interference ratio target (SIRtarget) a value that is as close as possible to that which it had just before the moment of the start of the wind-up so that immediate afterwards it can continue with the correct variation determined by the power control in the normal mode of the outer loop. Thus, the unwinding time is shortened and the interference in the mobile communication system is reduced, while its capacity and the quality of its wireless connections are increased.
