  • Patent number: 7611293
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus related to a motorized platform for use in creating three dimensional images. The motorized platform includes a symmetrical steering system such that a digital camera remains focused upon a desired image target as the motorized platform is advanced. The symmetrical steering system includes a three-wheel arrangement providing a constant radius path around the image target. A pair of steerable wheels located on an inside edge of the motorized platform are operably connected with a steering linkage assembly such that the steerable wheels are angularly adjusted to define the constant radius path. A drive wheel is operably connected to a motor assembly for propelling the motorized platform along the constant radius path. A digital camera can be mounted to a tripod attached to the motorized platform and the digital camera can be operably controlled either manually or automatically as the motorized platform is advanced.

  • Patent number: 7607614
Abstract: A shim adapted for positioning on the upper surface of at least one wing of an aircraft. The shim restores an aerodynamic profile of the wing at the position of a zone of transition between structure fastening the wing to the fuselage of the aircraft and the upper surface of the aircraft. The shim enables a seal to run from the fastening structure to the upper surface of the wing, in eliminating the zones at which the seal may break open. An aircraft provided with such a shim is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7606778
Abstract: A system and method for testing and/or evaluating employees or potential employees is disclosed. A computer arranges a plurality of applicants in a stack ranked table. The table may rank or re-rank applicants against each other, from best to worst, after successive screening, selecting, and/or interviewing stages for a particular job. Performance evaluations of hired workers may be fed back to the computer for adjusting the system and method. Competencies shown to be predictive of successful performance of a given type of job are tested for at various stages in an online testing system.

  • Patent number: 7603242
Abstract: A method of detecting a fuel leak from a fuel store of an aircraft where a processor receives inputs relating to the amount of fuel in the fuel store and to the rate of fuel used by the aircraft. The processor defines a fuel flow system state defined by a noise-compensated measures of the amount of fuel in the fuel store, a fuel leak amount estimate and a fuel leak rate estimate. The processor periodically calculates a new estimated state of the system in view of a previous estimated state and values of the inputs. The processor monitors the fuel leak amount estimate and the fuel leak rate estimate and if either exceeds a respective threshold value send a signal to a fuel leak warning device.

  • Patent number: 7597375
Abstract: A double folding mechanism of a seat of a vehicle can fold a seat cushion from a space on a floor and fold a seat back into the space, thereby changing the seat from its use condition to its retracted condition. The double folding mechanism can include a first connecting mechanism connecting the seat cushion and the floor and a second connecting mechanism connecting the seat back and the floor. The second connecting mechanism can control the rotational speed of the seat back such that the seat back can enter inside a rotational trajectory of a rear end of the seat cushion after the seat cushion comes out of a rotational trajectory of an upper end portion of the seat back. The double folding mechanism can change the seat from the use condition to the retracted condition in one operation.

  • Patent number: 7597937
Abstract: A coating apparatus for batches of elongate flimsy members includes batch handling portion and a coating portion. The batch handling portion having an array support portion and an array alignment portion. The array support portion secures and vertically moves an array of elongate flimsy members to be lowered into an array of inlets of the coating portion, the inlets aligned in an array. The array alignment portion provides removable discrete position locating of the individual flimsy members by a guide portion that moves from an upwardly position downwardly to position each member of the array in alignment with the array of inlets. The support portion then lowers the flimsy members into the coating portion through the array.
