  • Patent number: 6813987
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrohydraulic monitoring device for a dual effect hydraulic cylinder in which certain operating pressures must be maintained. A pressure reduction valve is provided for setting said pressures, this pressure reduction valve being used to set a defined pressure (41) by adjusting the pretension of the valve spring (41). The valve spring is situated in a spring chamber (137) which is bordered by a regulating sleeve (46) on one side, in an axially moveable manner. Said regulating sleeve is displaceable between two end positions within a limited axial stroke area. The alternative switching positions of a micro-switch (117) are linked to these end positions. Two sensor chambers, each of which is connected to one of the pressure chambers of the cylinder in such a way that they communicate, are provided and are delimited by sensor pistons (106, 107) in order to determine the operating pressure that is being coupled into the hydraulic cylinder at a particular time.

  • Patent number: 6804293
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for equalizing a signal with a frame structure, received via a time-variable transmission channel. According to said method, a frame-type equalization is used. The channel unit pulse response is analyzed and one equalization alternative is selected from several provided alternatives. According to the principle of equalization with decision feedback, it is preferable if only two alternatives are provided; a conventional forward equalization and an inverse-time reversed equalization. A decision in favor of one or the other of these alternatives can be made simply based on the sign characterizing the so-called skewness.

  • Patent number: 6801638
Abstract: The invention concerns a process and a device, which make it possible to reliably, with the least amount of computing power, recognize traffic signs and to display these as memory aids for an observer. Image data of an image sensor are analyzed and classified in an information processing unit, and on the basis of the results classification image segments and/or symbolic image representing data stored in a memory unit are recorded in a memory unit and are displayed by means of a display unit. In the further processing of the image data, extracted objects are separated and classified into traffic sign specific upper classes and lower classes. Subsequently, a synthetic image of a traffic sign is generated, stored in a memory unit, and displayed by means of a display unit.
