Abstract: The present invention is a flash memory, wherein when erasing a plurality of sectors an erasure process of applying a normal erasure stress to one sector is performed, while at the same time, a pre-erasure process of applying a pre-erasure stress, that is weaker than the normal erasure stress, to the other sectors to be erased is performed. By performing a pre-erasure process to the other sectors while the normal erasure process is being performed, it is possible to shorten the following erasure processing for the other sectors.
Abstract: A core of a solenoid actuator is provided which is improved in durability and at the same time ensures high energy efficiency of the solenoid actuator. The core of the solenoid actuator attracts an armature during operation of the solenoid actuator. A plurality of core plates are formed of a magnetically soft material and laminated in a predetermined direction orthogonal to a direction of attracting the armature to form a laminated stack. The core plates form magnetic circuits between the armature and the core plates themselves during the operation of the solenoid actuator. Two core holders formed of a non-magnetic material sandwiches the laminated stack of the plurality of core plates from opposite sides along the predetermined direction. The plurality of core plates are each coated with insulating film, which insulate adjacent two core plates from each other.
Abstract: An impeller for a hydraulic power transmitting apparatus has a shell and a plurality of blades fixed to the shell. Each of the blades has a blade main body and a fixing flange which is bent at an angle relative to the blade main body. The shell and the fixing flange are placed one on top of the other and are pressed together at a fixing point such that a hollow cylindrical projection having a bottom is formed. The projection is made up of a diametrically expanded portion along a bottom outer periphery of that member out of the shell and the fixing flange which lies on an inner side in the projection. The expanded portion is thrusted into that member out of the shell and the fixing flange which lies on an outer side in the projection.
Abstract: In a back pressure control apparatus for controlling back pressure in an injection molding machine comprising an injection device which comprises a heating cylinder, a screw, and an injection actuator and which is provided with a back pressure detector for producing a pressure detected signal and with a screw position detector for producing a screw position detected signal, the back pressure control apparatus comprises a level setting section for setting a back pressure control level with respect to back pressure. A sharpness selecting section selects, as a selected sharpness, one of a plurality of sharpnesses in transition up to a maximum back pressure command value. On the basis of the back pressure control level, a determining section determines a back pressure pattern having a variable back pressure command value which continuously changes with respect to a retreat position of the screw. The back pressure pattern has a mountain-shaped portion defined by the selected sharpness.
Abstract: A display device on a meter panel of an automobile, indicates the following distance from a vehicle to a preceding vehicle by displaying multiple blocks, and recognition of the following distance is made easy thus preventing erroneous recognition. The display includes three blocks and three sub-blocks between a vehicle symbol and a preceding vehicle symbol. The three blocks can be switched between a display state and a non-display state and the three sub-blocks are constantly in a display state. The blocks and sub-blocks are positioned so as to correspond to each other. When all three blocks are in a display state, this denotes that the following distance is ‘long’, when two of the blocks are in a display state, it denotes that the following distance is ‘medium’ and when only one block is in a display state, it denotes that the following distance is ‘short’.
Abstract: A supporting mechanism is provided to be moved between a disc insertion opening and a disc storing device, and a driving roller is rotatably mounted on the supporting mechanism for carrying a disc inserted in the opening toward the disc storing device. The supporting mechanism is moved between the opening and the disc storing device, and the driving roller is driven for carrying the disc from the opening to the disc storing device.

Abstract: Exhaust gas sensors or air-fuel ratio sensors for generating outputs depending on the concentration of HC are disposed respectively upstream and downstream of an HC adsorbent in an exhaust passage. When an exhaust gas emitted from an internal combustion engine is supplied to the exhaust passage to allow the HC adsorbent to adsorb HC in the exhaust gas, an amount of HC adsorbed by the HC adsorbent per unit time is determined based on the difference between outputs from the exhaust gas sensors. A deteriorated state of the HC adsorbent is evaluated by comparing the determined adsorbed amount of HC and its integrated value with a threshold set depending on a temperature or the like of the HC adsorbent.
