  • Patent number: 6345569
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to effectively achieve the reduction in piston slap sound in both of an expansion stroke and a compression stroke in consideration of a difference between the behaviors of a piston in the expansion stroke and the compression stroke. For this purpose, in a piston P having a skirt 12 formed into an intermediately bulged barrel type, the axis L2 of a piston pin is offset with respect to the cylinder axis L1, and the decrement in radius of a lower skirt portion 20 is set to be large on a thrust side and small in an anti-thrust side. In the expansion stroke, the piston is positively swung, while the skirt 12 is put into abutment against a wall surface of a cylinder bore, thereby reducing the piston slap sound.

  • Patent number: 6345922
Abstract: A cartridge type feeding container has a rod-like cosmetic material in which the rod-like cosmetic material is neither damaged nor pulled apart even if a buffering external shock is applied to the container and the cartridge is not pulled apart from the container body or any load is applied in a direction in which the core chucks and the feeding mechanism and dismounted apart from each other even if a torque is further applied to exceed a maximum fed condition. These advantages are the result of an internal member made of flexible material and provided on a part of an inner circumferential surface thereof with a cutaway formed by combining a slit cut in a circumferential direction. The internal member and the container body form a container cover portion such that a shock, applied from the outside of the container cover portion, is buffered in the cutaway in the internal member and is prevented from being transmitted to the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6346274
Abstract: The invention concerns parenteral pharmaceutical forms of administration containing polypeptide in the form of microparticles and a process for the production thereof. The microparticles according to the invention contain as a biodegradable polymer an ABA triblock copolymer the A block of which is a copolymer of lactic and glycolic acid and the B block of which represents a polyethylene glycol chain, together with additives that are selected from the group comprising serum proteins, polyamino acids, cyclodextrins, cyclodextrin derivatives, saccharides, amino sugars, amino acids, detergents or carboxylic acids as well as mixtures of these additives. The microparticles according to the invention continuously release the polypeptide over a relatively long time period even when the amounts of polypeptide they include are small or susceptible to aggregation.

  • Patent number: 6344990
Abstract: A memory circuit including a memory cell array. The memory cell array has a first word line group connected to a pair of memory cells associated with a first bit line pair including first and third bit lines, and a second word line group, connected to a pair of memory cells associated with a second bit line pair including second and fourth bit lines. First and second sense amplifier groups are positioned one on each side of the memory array, and are connected to the first and second bit line pair, respectively. When any word line of the first word line group is driven, the first sense amplifier group is activated to drive the first word line group in reverse phase, and the second sense amplifier group is kept in the inactive state to keep the second word line group at the precharge level.

  • Patent number: 6343902
Abstract: A reamer T including three-stage chip groups 6, each group having five chips 6 disposed circumferentially on a circle of a diameter smaller than an inside diameter of a hole H in a work W, axially at a given pitch P. When the axis Lt of the rotated reamer T is moved circumferentially on a circle about the axis Lw of the hole H after the reamer T is inserted into the hole H in the work W, the three-stage chip groups 6 simultaneously cut an inner peripheral surface of the hole H. When the reamer T is moved in the direction of pulling from the hole H by one pitch P in this state, the three-stage chip groups 6 simultaneously cut the inner peripheral surface of the hole H in the work W respectively by one pitch. Therefore, a boring work for providing the hole H having a depth D=3P in the work W can be completed in a short time.

  • Patent number: 6343520
Abstract: An automatic transmission comprises a forward/reverse selection hydraulic servomechanism 70 which actuates a dog clutch and a plurality of clutches 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. For this automatic transmission, a control system comprises first˜fifth on/off solenoid valves 81˜85 and first˜third linear solenoid valves 86˜88. These valves are used to control the supply and drain of a line pressure to and from the forward/reverse selection hydraulic servomechanism 70 and first˜fifth shift valves 60, 62, 64, 66 and 68 so as to control the actuation thereof for the selective engagement of the clutches. This system, when it detects, by a hydraulic switch 93, a condition that the D range is selected and that the actuation command signals being sent to the solenoid valves correspond to one of the signal combinations which are used for setting the driving modes of the D range, allows the actuation of the solenoid valves by these actuation command signals.
