Abstract: A semiconductor device for generating first and second internal clocks complementary with each other from an external clock and usable for both a system of a type using a complementary clock and a system of a type generating a 180° phase clock internally, is disclosed. A first clock input circuit (buffer) is supplied with a first external clock and outputs a first internal clock. A second clock input circuit (buffer) is supplied with a second external clock complementary with the first external clock and outputs a second clock. A ½ phase clock generating circuit generates a ½ phase shift signal 180° out of phase with the first internal clock. A second external clock state detection circuit judges whether the second external clock is input to the second clock input buffer.

Abstract: A television receiver includes an input terminal (12). Through the input terminal is inputted an input signal having a predetermined electric field intensity. That is, a tuner (14) converts the input signal into a video intermediate frequency signal and audio intermediate frequency signal. The video intermediate frequency signal is amplified by a video intermediate frequency amplifier circuit (16). Based on that frequency, a filter (26) outputs a detection signal (Va). An RF-AGC circuit (32) outputs a reference voltage (Vref). An RF-AGC circuit (30) creates a control voltage (Vb) in response to a difference between the detection signal and the reference voltage. The tuner is controlled in gain by this control voltage. The reference voltage is varied by a micro-computer (36) depending upon the control voltage. Accordingly, the control voltage is adjusted to a desired voltage value.
Abstract: A restoring circuit 24, provided for each of the memory blocks 191 and 192, having registers and a selector for selecting one of the present row address and the output of the registers, provides the output of the selector to a word decoder 26. The present row address is held in one of the registers. When amplification is started by a sense amplifier 15, transfer gates 10 and 11 connected between the bit lines BL1 and *BL1 and the sense amplifier 15 are turned off to decrease the load of the sense amplifier 15, the amplified signal is stored in a buffer memory cell circuit 18, and accessing is completed with omitting restoring to the memory cell 12. While the memory cell block 191 is not selected, the data held in the buffer memory cell circuit 18 is stored into the memory cell row addressed by the content of the selected register. The sense amplifier 15 has PMOS and NMOS sense amplifiers.

Abstract: In a stator for an outer rotor-type multi-pole generator, in which coils of an identical type but different from a coil wound around a particular one of cylindrical portions integrally included in a bobbin to cover a plurality of salient poles of a stator core, are wound around a pair of the cylindrical portions adjoining and located on opposite sides of the particular cylindrical portion, a recess concaved inwards in a radial direction of a core base is provided in a guide projection at a location corresponding to the particular one of the cylindrical portions, and a crossover wire is disposed in the recess. Thus, the particular cylindrical portion and the crossover wire can be insulated from each other to ensure a stable insulating property, while avoiding an increase in operating steps.
Abstract: The width (L) in the circumferential direction of the outer surface 2a of an inner joint member 2 is L≧3.5 mm. When the assembly angle (&thgr;0) of the torque transmitting ball 3 is set to 50°, the width (W) in the axial direction is set so that the ratio Rw (=W/PCDSERR) between the width (W) in the axial direction and the pitch circle diameter (PCDSERR) of the teeth of an engagement portion 2c lies within the range of 0.57<Rw≦0.95. Thus, while enabling the assembly of the torque transmitting ball at the assembly angle &thgr;0=50°, cold forging on the inner joint member 2 is made possible, thereby reducing the processing cost. By reducing the width (W) in the axial direction as much as possible, the weight, dimension, and material cost can be reduced.

Abstract: A variable gain amplifier includes multiple unit variable gain amplifiers connected in series which amplify an input signal in accordance with their respective gains and generate a multi-stage amplified signal. A gain control circuit generates voltage control signals, one for each of the unit amplifiers, from a gain control input signal. The control signals control the respective gains of the unit amplifiers such that the gain of the first amplifier in the series is greater than the gain of the last amplifier in the series.

Abstract: A controller for an internal combustion engine has a hydraulic valve characteristic changing mechanism for changing valve operating characteristics of suction and exhaust valves; a valve system provided with a hydraulic valve phase variable mechanism that changes the phase; a map that stores a fuel injection quantity and an ignition timing in response to the valve operating characteristics; and delay time setting means for setting a delay time required to complete changeover of the valve operating characteristics, based on operating oil properties detected from behavior of a valve phase variable mechanism, to change the map after the delay time has elapsed. Thus, a valve operating characteristic changing timing coincides with a map changing timing to thereby achieve an improved performance of the internal combustion engine.
