Abstract: A large diameter gauge consists of a series of measuring units. Each measuring unit comprises two positioning elements(11,12), a fastener(14) and a body(13). These series of measuring units are placed and fixed sequentially and head to end or end to head around the circumference of the cylinder or hole to be measured during measuring until the remained space is not large enough to be put into another one measuring unit. Measuring the distance between the first measuring unit and the last measuring unit, the diameter to be measured can be obtained through the geometric relations between the gauges and the cylinder or hole to be measured.
Abstract: A plasma display panel has a plurality of first and second sustain electrodes, a plurality of address electrodes which intersect with the sustain electrodes to form a pixel at every intersection. In the method, an address period is provided, in which data pulses are applied to the address electrodes, and scanning pulses are applied to the second sustain electrodes, thereby selecting lighted pixels and unlighted pixels. A discharge sustaining period is provided, in which discharge sustaining pulses are alternately applied to the first and second sustain electrodes so as to sustain the lighted and unlighted pixels. An offset voltage having the same polarity as the data pulse is applied to the address electrodes in the discharge sustaining period.

Abstract: An object system is regarded as being equivalent to a system for generating an output of an O2 sensor or exhaust gas sensor from a target combined air-fuel ratio that is produced by combining target air-fuel ratios KCMD for respective cylinder groups according to a filtering process of the mixed model type. With the equivalent system as an object to be controlled, an air-fuel ratio processing controller determines a target combined air-fuel ratio, and determines a target air-fuel ratio KCMD for each of the cylinder groups from the target combined air-fuel ratio. The air-fuel ratios in the cylinder groups are manipulated into the target air-fuel ratio according to a feed-forward control process.

Abstract: A picture signal processing method is provided for processing a picture signal containing information including main picture portion and non-picture portions. This method comprises: detecting boundary portions existing between the main picture portion and the non-picture portions of the picture signal; performing inter-field interpolation treatment to produce an interpolation scanning signal; and using the interpolation scanning signal to perform inter-field interpolation treatment on boundary portions between the main picture portion and the non-picture portions of the picture signal, so as to ensure a clearly visible display of the boundary portions.

Abstract: In a snow-removing machine, an expandable and contractible regulating mechanism is coupled between a steering handlebar of a machine body including a snow-removing section and a drive section capable of being turned relative to the machine body about a wheel driving shaft, and is capable of regulating the level of the snow-removing section relative to the drive section. The expandable and contractible regulating mechanism is comprised of a cylinder connected to the machine body, a piston which divides the inside of the cylinder into a first chamber and a second chamber, a piston rod coupled to the piston and connected to the drive section, a communication passage permitting communication between the first and second chambers, and an on-off valve for opening and closing the communication passage. A high-pressure gas is filled in the first and second chambers, so that the expansion and compression of the high-pressure gas is permitted upon closing of the on-off valve.
Abstract: A semiconductor light emitting device has a light emitting layer forming portion formed on the substrate and having an n-type layer and a p-type layer to provide a light emitting layer. A window layer is formed on a surface side of the light emitting layer forming portion. The window layer is formed of AlyGal−yAs (0.6≦y≦0.8) auto-doped in a carrier concentration of 5×1018-3×1019 cm−3. The resulting semiconductor light emitting device is free of degradation in crystallinity due to p-type impurity doping, thereby provide a high light emitting efficiency and brightness without encountering device degradation or damage.

The comparison/verification section compares an output of the counter with an output of the data holding section, and verifies whether the outputs match or not.
