Abstract: A noise eliminating circuit eliminates thermal asperity noise in a reproduction signal generated by a magnetic read head in a disk drive. The noise eliminating circuit includes a differential amplifier that receives the reproduction signal and a feedback signal and generates an amplified signal. A detection circuit connected to the differential amplifier detects noise in the amplified signal and generates a control signal. The control signal is activated when the noise is detected. A feedback circuit connected to the differential amplifier and the detection circuit cuts off the amplified signal with a first cutoff frequency when the control signal is not active and cuts off the amplified signal with a second cutoff frequency when the control signal is active.

  • Patent number: 6256561
Abstract: A system for controlling steering of a vehicle, including an electric motor used for power-steering torque assist control. The system has an navigation system whose output is used to correct the detected steering angle input by the vehicle driver. A desired yaw rate is determined based on the corrected steering angle and the detected vehicle speed using a yaw rate model, thereby enabling to conduct the aforesaid lane-keeping-steering torque assist control in a more appropriate manner. Further, if the vehicle driver expresses a positive intention to steer the vehicle by himself, for example, so as to avoid an obstacle present on the road, the control is discontinue to meet the wishes of the vehicle driver. Furthermore, the system monitors the steering of the vehicle driver to prevent the vehicle driver from relying upon this steering assist control to an excessive extent.

Preferably, the particles have an average particle size of less than 100 &mgr;m and any pores of the glass surface have a diameter of less than 10 nm. The magnetic core may be a composite material containing a mica core and magnetite particles immobilized on the mica core, and the glass layer may contain boron oxide. Magnetic core materials include magnetite (Fe3O4) and Fe2O3.

  • Patent number: 6252785
Abstract: A device for operating inverters according to the present invention can operate a plurality of inverters for converting DC output from a DC source such as a solar cell to AC output efficiently without relying on a particular inverter. The plurality of inverters are connected to the DC source through switches. DC output from a DC source is measured by a measuring device to determine the number of inverters to be operated on a basis of the output result from the measuring device. The inverters to be added or cut off are determined among the plurality of inverters at random on a basis of the random number and switches of the determined inverters are turned ON or OFF in order to select inverters to be operated.

  • Patent number: 6250990
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting CSP plates into individual pellets to put them on carrier trays for transportation includes a jig rack for the storing of jigs for holding CSP plates. A taking-in and -out table takes a selected jig out from the jig rack to transport it to an area in which CSP plates are brought and laid. The apparatus also includes a cassette table on which a CSP plate cassette is put. The selected CSP plate is taken out from the cassette and is put on an associated jig, which is laid on the table. A first transport transports the CSP plate-and-jig combination from the taking-in and -out table to a working table. The CSP plate is cut with a cutting blade, while the CSP plate-and-jig combination is held on the working table. The CSP plate is cut into individual pellets. A second transport transports the jig holding the CSP plate from the working table to a washing table where the cut CSP plate-and-jig combination are washed.
