  • Patent number: 6272069
Abstract: A data signal is output from an output circuit of a first chip and sent to a data input terminal in the second chip via a data lead line based on an output clock in first chip, which is sent to the second chip. And an input circuit in a second chip receives the data signal and transfers it inside in response to a transfer clock that has been generated from the output clock in the first chip. In synchronism with a single reference clock in the first chip, therefore, a data signal can be transferred to the second chip from the first chip at a high speed.

  • Patent number: 6272568
Abstract: A reference value is set for recording quantity of information, and a plurality of compression factors is provided for compressing information to be recorded. The compression factors are arranged in order. The information is sequentially recorded on a first memory at a first compression factor of the arrangement of the compression factors. It is determined whether the recording quantity of a first information group reaches the reference value. The first information group is compressed at a larger second compression factor when the recording quantities reaches the reference value, and the compressed first information group is recorded on the first memory at a first area. A second information group following the first information group is compressed at the second compression factor, and the compressed second information group is recorded on the first memory at a second area next to the first area. It is determined whether the sum of the recorded first and second information groups reaches the reference value.

  • Patent number: 6269033
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device, such as a SDRAM, includes input/output data line pairs, data bus line pairs, and a redundancy data bus line pair. The input/output data line pairs are connected to a corresponding one of the data bus line pairs and an adjacent one of the data bus line pairs via redundancy shift switches, with a last one of the input/output data line pairs being connected to a last one fo the data bus line pairs and the redundancy data bus line pair. Sense buffers and write amplifiers are connected between each of the data bus line pairs and the redundancy data line pair. The shift switches are located closer to the input/output data line pairs than the sense buffers and the write amplifiers so that data read from the memory cells is less effected by the on resistance and the parasitic capacitance of the switches. When the switches are located closer to the data bus lines than the sense buffers and the write amplifiers are, the switches effect the data signals of data read from the memory cells.

  • Patent number: 6269308
Abstract: In a safety running system, a transverse travelling distance resulting when a subject vehicle travels to a current position of an oncoming vehicle is calculated based on the vehicle velocity and yaw rate of the subject vehicle, a relative transverse distance of the oncoming vehicle relative to a vehicle body axis of the subject vehicle is calculated based on a relative distance, relative velocity and relative angle between the subject vehicle and the oncoming vehicle detected by a radar information processor. When a relative transverse deviation obtained by subtracting the transverse travelling distance from the relative transverse distance resides within a range and that state continues to exist over a predetermined time period, it is judged that there is a collision possibility of the subject vehicle with the oncoming vehicle, and automatic steering is performed so as to avoid a collision.

  • Patent number: 6266271
Abstract: The present invention is a nonvolatile semiconductor memory having, in addition to a main storage region for storing ordinary data, a hidden storage region for storing a special code for preventing unauthorized copying, and this hidden storage region is in a read enabled state at the time of a write protected state, and is in a read prohibited state at a time when there is no write protected state. Therefore, a hidden storage region can be read out only after a semiconductor memory vendor stores a special code in a hidden storage region, and sets the hidden storage region to a write protected state. And the method for changing to this write protected state is a secret to everyone other than the vendor. As a result thereof, even if a semiconductor memory, for which a special code is not stored in a hidden storage region, is illegally obtained on the black market, since hidden storage region readout is still prohibited, illegally copied data cannot be used, consequently preventing unauthorized copying.
