Abstract: A formation method of a metallic electrode of a semiconductor device is disclosed. The method includes: acquiring data about surface shape of a surface part of a semiconductor substrate; and causing a deformation device to deform the semiconductor substrate based on the data so that a distance between a cutting plane and the surface part falls within a required accuracy in cutting amount. In deforming the semiconductor substrate, multiple actuators are used as the deformation device. A pitch of the multiple actuators is set to a value that is greater than one-half of wavelength of spatial frequency of a thickness distribution of the semiconductor substrate and that is less than or equal to the wavelength.

Abstract: A PWM driver for driving an electric device by a PWM signal includes an ECU that provides a command signal, first circuit that provides a carrier signal of a triangular shape having a preset frequency, a second circuit that forms a PWM signal having a duty ratio formed based on the carrier signal and the command signal and an output circuit that drives an output device. The second circuit includes a duty ratio limiting circuit that limits the duty ratio of the PWM signal to a range between a first duty ratio and a second duty ratio to prevent the wave shape of the PWM signal from becoming a shape of an impulse.
Abstract: A receiving device for spread spectrum communication includes a phase determining unit and a data demodulating unit. The receiving device receives a signal spread and modulated with first spreading code. The phase determining unit calculates a cross correlation between the received signal and a second spreading code and determines a phase P(0) of the received signal based on the cross correlation. The data demodulating unit synchronizes the phase P(0) and the first spreading code and despreads and demodulates the received signal with the first spreading code. The number of components in each of the first spreading code and the second spreading code is an integer greater than or equal to 2.

A fringe flowered Madagascar periwinkle bred by pollinating a pollen of a fringe flowered Madagascar periwinkle to a commercial variety, and a fringe flowered Madagascar periwinkle obtained by self pollinating a fringe flowered and pistil sterile Madagascan periwinkle.
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes: a sensor element having a plate shape with a surface and including a sensor structure disposed in a surface portion of the sensor element; and a plate-shaped cap element bonded to the surface of the sensor element. The cap element has a wiring pattern portion facing the sensor element. The wiring pattern portion connects an outer periphery of the surface of the sensor element and the sensor structure so that the sensor structure is electrically coupled with an external element via the outer periphery. The sensor element does not have a complicated multi-layered structure, so that the sensor element is simplified. Further, the dimensions of the device are reduced.

The fuel cutoff valve has a casing in which a valve chamber is defined by a tubular casing body and a bottom cover installed in the bottom part of the casing body; and a float mechanism housed inside the valve chamber. The bottom cover has a first engaging portion adapted to attach to the casing body by engaging the casing body, and a second engaging portion adapted to secure to the mounting plate by engaging the support engaged portion.
Abstract: A slope counter starts countdown at timing of changing an output voltage of an FET to zero. A controller executes a nonsymmetrical energization control operation to control a PWM generator such that the PWM generator generates a PWM signal based on a count value of the slope counter and outputs the generated PWM signal to the FET. The countdown of the slope counter is terminated when a predetermined time period elapses or when a time period corresponding to an electrical angle of 40 degrees elapses before the elapsing of the predetermined period. Also, at this time, the controller terminates the nonsymmetrical energization control operation.

Abstract: A storage unit stores a model defining a position or a locus of a feature point of an occupant in each specific action. An action estimation unit compares the feature point with each of the models to detect an estimated action. A detecting unit detects that a specific action is being performed as a definite action. A first generating unit generates a new definite model corresponding to the definite action by modifying a position or a locus of the feature point according to an in-action feature point when the definite action is being performed. A second generating unit generates a new non-definite model using the in-action feature point according to a correspondence between the feature point in the definite action and the feature point of a non-definite model other than the definite model. An update unit updates the definite action model and the non-definite action model.
