  • Patent number: 7108018
Abstract: A reinforced flexible hose comprising as least a first inner extruded tubular layer and at least a second extruded tubular layer with a tubular reinforcement fabric provided between said first and second hoses. The two tubes are joined so as to form a homogeneous unit by their mutual contact surfaces, by gluing or molecular adhesion, for example. The end portion of the hose increases in width so much as to make it possible to achieve a better mechanical hold with the standard junctions to which it is bound to be fixed. The thickness increases at the end portions may either be constant along its whole length, or start gradually toward the end.

  • Patent number: 7096994
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of controlling recovery in an electric power steering system which can enhance the recovery control function during recovery after steering when discriminating a recovery state using a steering angle and a steering angular velocity by determining whether or not the steering angular velocity is more than a predetermined value and carrying out recovery control only in the corresponding recovery state. The method of controlling recovery of the present invention comprises a first step of setting a recovery gain and a recovery pattern; a second step of obtaining a recovery current; a third step of determining whether the steering angular velocity is more than a predetermined value; and a fourth step of obtaining a motor driving current and performing the recovery control function by controlling the operation of the motor according to the obtained motor driving current.

  • Patent number: 7017544
Abstract: Use of an vibration damper to dampen vibration transmitted from an engine to a carburettor is found to enhance carburettor and therefore engine performance. The vibration damper is conveniently placed axially between the carburettor and an end of the intake manifold, and may take the form of a laminate of an elastomeric block adhered between and upstream and a downstream metal plate. Fasteners can extend from the metal plates into suitable apertures within the carburettor housing and inlet manifold without traversing the elastomeric block thereby enhancing the efficacy of the damper.
