  • Patent number: 7352212
Abstract: We propose an opposite-phase scheme for peak current reduction. The basic idea is to divide the clock buffers at each level of the clock tree into two sets: one half of the clock buffers operate at the same phase as the clock source, and the other half of the clock buffers operate at the opposite phase to the clock source. Consequently, our approach can effectively reduce the peak current of the clock tree. The method enables the opposite-phase scheme to combine with the electronic design automation (EDA) tools that are commonly used in modern industries.

  • Patent number: 7351901
Abstract: A bearing device for a pedal assembly includes an integrally formed positioning block, a connecting block and a bearing. The connecting block has a connecting hole aligning with a second threaded hole of the positioning block, a second cutout defined in a top side of the connecting block to communicate with a first cutout of the positioning block and an engagement hole defined in a lower portion thereof for engagement with a recoil spring of the pedal assembly. A bearing is securely received in the first cutout and the second cutout. A first threaded bolt is extending through the aligned first threaded hole and the through hole for secure engagement of the bearing inside the positioning block. A second threaded bolt is extending into the aligned connecting hole and the second threaded hole to secure engagement between the positioning block and the connecting block.

  • Patent number: 7350091
Abstract: A control apparatus for controlling a plurality of computers is described. The control apparatus includes a memory, a clock generator, a clock switch circuit, and a main module. The clock switch circuit switches between a system clock and a corresponding clock of a digital video signal. The main module directly stores the digital video signal into the memory according to the corresponding clock through the clock switch circuit. The main module reads the digital video signal from the memory according to the system clock. The main module also receives a remote control signal sent from a remote computer to control the plurality of computers.

  • Patent number: 7347228
Abstract: A method for fabricating semiconductor device is provided. A high stress layer formed on, under or on both sides of the transistors of the semiconductor device is employed as a cap layer. A specific region is then defined through photo resistor mask, and the stress of the region is changed by ion implanting. Therefore, compressive stress and tensile stress occur on the high stress layer. According the disclosed method, the high stress layer may simultaneously improve the characteristics of the transistors formed on the same wafer. Further, the mobility of the carriers of the device is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7349330
Abstract: A packet receiver includes a packet memory circuit for temporarily storing received packets in a FIFO (First-In First-Out) fashion in the form of a queue. A read start threshold setting circuit sets, with respect to the length of the queue, a read start threshold at which the received packets should begin to be read out. A read comparing circuit determines whether or not the length of the queue has reached the read start threshold, and outputs a read command signal in accordance with the result of decision. In response to the read command signal, a read control circuit causes the received packets to be read out of the packet memory circuit. The packet receiver reduces the influence of the jitter of a communication network on speech quality. Also, the packet receiver reduces the influence of delays of packets by executing discard processing with the queue.

  • Patent number: 7345881
Abstract: A load frame has an open region exposing a surface of an electronic component. A heat sink is disposed on the load frame and has a surface in thermal contact with the surface of the electronic component. A non-influencing fastener is disposed within a bore in the heat sink and threaded into the load frame for securing the heat sink to the load frame. The non-influencing fastener includes a screw with a head; a tapered ring disposed below the head of the screw and having a tapered lower peripheral surface; a sealing ring engaging the tapered lower peripheral surface of the tapered ring; and a load washer disposed between the sealing ring and the load frame. Compression of the rings by turning of the screw into the load frame causes the sealing ring to expand against the bore of the heatsink. Preferably, the sealing ring has a curved outer surface.

  • Patent number: 7345869
Abstract: A supporting frame structure movably joined in a case is used to mount a loaded object, such that the object can be disposed in the case or moved outside the case. In the present invention, a motion mechanism is disposed between the case and the supporting frame, by which the supporting frame has a handling position outside the case and a fixed position inside the case. At the fixed position, the motion mechanism forms an interference relation, such that the supporting frame is fixed on the mounting position and is unable to be departed from the case.

  • Patent number: 7345836
Abstract: A zoom lens driving apparatus achieves the object of driving multiple lens groups by a single motor and low production cost. When a first lens group, which includes a first lens, moves along guide rods, a leading cam of a leading member drives a leading pin of a follower, so that the follower moves a guide pin, and moves a second lens group, which includes a second lens, along the guide rods. The relative distance between the first lens group and the second lens group is controlled by the leading cam.

  • Patent number: 7344914
Abstract: An organic semiconductor element having multi protection layers and process of making the same are provided. Firstly, forming a first protection layer on the thin film transistor. Next, forming a second protection layer which is thick enough to serve as the photo spacers on said first protection layer. The multi protection layers are then grown on said organic thin film transistor, so as to enable the second protection layer to have the additional function of the photo spacers by the patterning process. Thus the organic thin film transistor can be prevented from being damaged, and achieving the simplification of the manufacturing process and the reduction of the production cost.
