Abstract: A light assembly includes a circular base light emitting diodes mounted on the circuit board and electrically connected to a controlling chip, a circular rim mounted on a peripheral edge of the circular base, a transparent cover provided to securely engage with the circular rim to enclose the light emitting diodes and a clamping mechanism securely mounted on two opposed sides of the U shaped passage and having two rubber cushions oppositely movable relative to each other so that when an umbrella shank is extended into the U shaped passage and located between the two rubber cushions, the umbrella shank is securely sandwiched and the light emitting diodes are able to provide illumination.

Abstract: A target for sputtering includes a sputtering material layer having tilt surfaces. Sputtering material particles are emitted from the tilt surfaces in directions of their normals. Consequently, even though the target and a substrate are arranged approximately parallel and the axes of the two are coincident with each other, the particles are injected onto the substrate from oblique directions.

Abstract: An electrical contact assembly includes a first module having a first set of electrical contacts, a second module having a second set of electrical contacts, a shape generating module, and a clamping arrangement for clamping the first, second and shape generating modules together. The shape generating module imparts a desired shape to the second module for urging the second set of electrical contacts toward the first set of electrical contacts, such that clamping the modules together results in a positive contact force between the first and second sets of electrical contacts that is substantially uniform across the sets of electrical contacts. The shape generating module includes a first insulating layer, a second insulating layer and a shape producing layer disposed between the first and second insulating layers. The shape producing layer includes an adhesive that flows and cures upon application of a heat treatment to produce the desired shape.

Abstract: A data relay device transmitting received unit data has an external interface unit, a main control unit, where the received unit data are received from outside the data relay device and transmitted to the corresponding destination memory not through the main control unit. The external interface unit is equipped with memory in the external interface, the threshold setting unit, and the external control unit. The main control unit receiving the threshold receiving notice reads the information in the corresponding field of the received unit data stored in the memory in the external interface and judges whether the received unit data should be transmitted, or not. The main control unit deletes the received unit data judged to be unnecessary before the transmitting.
Abstract: An improved error-diffusion image processing system and the method thereof adopt the block reading mechanism to replace the row reading mechanism employed in the conventional error-diffusion image processing. This can greatly reduce the memory space required for image processing and increase the operational efficiency. The problem of gaps existing in the block reading mechanism is solved by adding a required error sum (BEsum) in a summed pixel range according to specific position conditions of each block.
Abstract: A doorstop includes a base secured to a floor; the base containing a buffer in relation to the direction of a door panel; a magnetic member being inserted into the center of the buffer; an elastic member being disposed to the inner end of the magnetic member; the elastic member enabling the buffer to engage in reciprocal compression; and when the door is opened, a door panel contacts the doorstop; impact applied by the door panel being absorbed and offset by a coil disposed to the inner end of the buffer; and the door panel being attracted to the magnetic member to prevent possible bouncing back by the door panel.

Abstract: There is provided an etching method in which a protective film existing in an etching-destined region of a substrate structure is removed by means of ICP-RIE to form an exposure region of the principal surface of the substrate. The substrate structure comprises a substrate, a protective film formed on the substrate, a photoresist layer formed on the protective film, and a hole formed throughout the photoresist layer. The hole comprises an opening formed in the photoresist layer surface and a hollow linked to the opening in the thickness direction of the photoresist layer and reaching the protective film. ICP-RIE is performed under conditions such that (1) ICP power is 20 to 100 W, (2) RIE power is 5 to 50 W, and (3) the pressure in the etching chamber is 1 to 100 mTorr.
Abstract: To easily adjust and change a locus of a leading end (an endless locus) of a cutter, a wire rod cutting apparatus of spring manufacturing machine has structure so that a slide may vertically slide via a connection rod by rotating a rotation shaft, and a cutter mounting oscillating arm can oscillate laterally via a sliding element by oscillating the connection rod, so that the locus thereof in the oscillating arm can be set to a predetermined shape which is endless in a front view and different between an outward and a homeward routes, by sliding the slide and oscillating the oscillating arm by actuation of the actuating apparatus and that a lateral oscillating amount of the oscillating arm can be changed by changing the position of the sliding element, to change the locus of the cutter leading end.

Abstract: An angle de-skew device and the method thereof are used in an image processing system to rotate a skewed image with respect to a reference point as a rotated center. First and second accumulator circuits respectively are used to accumulate first and second offsets for the X coordinates and Y coordinates of the first pixel in the skewed image, and respectively output the sums into the image processing system. A counter is connected to the two accumulator circuits to control the number of accumulation times.
Abstract: A method of fabricating an active layer thin film by a metal-chalcogenide precursor solution is provided, including the steps of: synthesizing a metal-chalcogenide precursor containing benzyl or benzyl derivative; dissolving the precursor in a solvent to produce a precursor solution, wherein a chalcogen element or compound can be added to the precursor solution to adjust the molar ratio of metal ion to chalcogen; and then applying the precursor solution onto a substrate in a specific coating manner, to form a film of the metal-chalcogenide after a curing process. Thereby, the existing method wherein an amorphous silicon active layer film is fabricated by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) is replaced.

Abstract: A disk drive fastening mechanism includes a computer chassis, a first disk drive rack and a second disk drive rack. The computer chassis has a top cover and a base that are connectable to each other. The first disk drive rack including a first retaining set and second retaining set is located on the base for housing a first disk drive. The second disk drive rack is movably mounted onto the top surface of the first disk drive rack for housing a second disk drive, confined in the first dimension and second dimension by the first retaining set and the second retaining set, and confined in the third dimension by the top cover and the first disk drive rack. Hence the second disk drive can be installed on the computer chassis without using tools so as to save installation time and simplify operation.
Abstract: A confidential envelope/bag is composed of a face and a back. The face and the back are linked with each other and formed with an edge at circumference; a sealing print is formed across the edges either at the back or on both the face and the back. The sealing print includes patterns, marks, graphics, texts or numbers made of paint, coating, ink, fluorescent dye, or even concaves, or extrusions. The circumference of the face and the back are adhered to each other with a suitable region to form a sealing zone.
