Abstract: According to the present invention, a data transmitting/receiving buffer provides an AND 5a for obtaining a logical product of an output enable signal/OE and receiving data RD, and outputting a receiving trigger signal RTG; inverter 6 for inverting the output enable signal/OE; and an AND 5b for obtaining a logical product of an output signal in the inverter 6 and transmitting data TD, and for outputting a receiving trigger signal RTG. It is possible to observe the only receiving signal by observing differential signals D+, D− at the cable side 30 by a receiving trigger signal RTG with an oscilloscope 40. Further, it is possible to observe the only transmitting signal by observing the differential signals D+, D− BY A TRANSMITTNG TRIGGER SIGNAL TTG. Thereby, a data transmitting/receiving buffer can select waveforms of a transmitting signal and a receiving signal to observe the selected waveform.

  • Patent number: 6713995
Abstract: A voltage regulator for pulse width modulation in dual frequencies is provided to be able to operate under a PWM voltage regulation mode, which can take a different frequency according to the degree of loading effect under light load or heavy load. In order to determine the degree of loading effect, a heavy-load reference voltage and a light-load reference voltage are predetermined to be served as reference voltages. When the error signal is greater than the heavy-load reference voltage, the load is a heavy load and then a modulation signal at a higher frequency, such as 200 KHz, is used to drive a transistor of the voltage regulator. Conversely, when the error signal is less than the light-load reference voltage, the load is a light load and then a modulation signal at a smaller frequency, such as 20 KHz, is used to drive the transistor. In this way, improved power conversion efficiency can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6714521
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for implementing a constellation of satellites in inclined elliptical orbits that provides simplified satellite tracking for ground stations on the earth. The satellite orbits form a pair of repeating ground tracks around the earth. In each ground track the satellites operate only in active arcs well above or below the equator, emulating many of the characteristics of geostationary satellites. The parameters of the satellite orbits are adjusted so that the end points of the active arcs in the two ground tracks coincide; the turn-off point of an active arc in one ground track being the same as the turn-on point of an active arc in the other. For a ground station served by the satellites in these arcs, the active satellites appear to be moving slowly in one direction around a closed, teardrop-shaped path in the sky, at a generally high elevation angle.
